I watched this drama on Youtube in its full 2hrs 28minutes compilation.

I have to admit, I really enjoyed this drama and even a bit of a tear towards the end.  The lead actress was very engaging while the lead male is very handsome.

Tang Qi Zi is a traditional Chinese medicine doctor who runs the apothecary with her brother and father.  She wanted to make money so she could leave and study abroad.

In her enthusiasm to get more money, she was overprescribing their patients/customers.  She was found out by her father who told her to kneel down in front of their ancestor shires to reflect until dawn.

She found her father’s alcohol stock and started drinking it.  She got drunk and complained non-stop to a painting of her ancestor.

The ancestor’s jade token connected to her jade bracelet which made him come to life and step out of the painting.

The guy was so handsome in his ancient costume.  He introduced himself as her fiance, the Divine Doctor, and the physician to the Emperor.

They both found out immediately that they could not be more than 8 meters away from each other, they are connected by an elastic red cord which pulled them back to each other if they moved further apart.
