Episode 1 

Yes, I am watching this raw.  I just love Lu Si and Hong Yi so can’t wait for the sub which might not come anyway.

Anyway based on the moving pictures, Yunchang had just got back from her studies abroad as a pharmacist or was it medicine?!!!

This was during the Republican era.

Anyway, Yunchang went to collect flower and herbal specimens in the mountain with a girl.  She saw glorious glowing blue flowers near a ravine.

Despite knowing that it was dangerous to attempt to get the flower, she just had to do it, helped by the other girl.

But she slipped and fell down, down, down, down into what seemed to be an enchanted land.

There she met a herbal medicine man, who was a prince of his tribe.

Episode 2

Xingchen’s tribe, who are very insular, did not like foreigners/urbanites so they were hunting Yunchang who ate a little lozenge-like fruit that gave her the power of flight.

I thought at first that this was something like time travel but actually it was the same timeline; it was just that the tribe lived in a very remote mysterious place that no one was really brave to venture into the thick of the forest.

Episode 3

Xingchen had left his tribe to be with Yunchang in the urban area.

Yunchang immediately went to her family but fainted due to an insect bite on her neck.

The medical doctor and their Western medicine can’t cure Yunchang, who remained comatose.

So it was really left to Xingchen to do his bit.

He used his spiritual essence but every time he uses so much of it, it takes out his energy as well and he becomes weakened.

When Yunchang got better, they flirted up a storm but there is a second male lead who was the local police, who was handsome but can be corrupt.  He was Zhentian, Yunchang’s childhood sweetheart.

Xingchen had been helping Yunchang run her apothecary/clinic.

Episode 4

Xingchen was walking in the street when he saw a woman ran over by a car.  He took charge and carried the woman to her cottage where he set her broken knee bones with his special spiritual power.  Again he overused his power and as a consequence was rather weak.

On his way back, he was ambushed by armed men.

Yunchang was there to meet him.  The men pushed him on the ravine and they were about to do the same with Yunchang but Zhentian, the policeman with his squad, appeared.

Xingchen was of course not dead and was able to climb up the ravine and got back to Yunchang’s house.

They were all surprised that Xingchen seemed as good as new.

Episode 5

Xingchen had become proprietorial towards Yunchang but Zhentian was as well.

Poor Yunchang was pulled into Xingchen side to Zhentian and vice versa.

But one of Xingchen’s clan, Xia Nu,  had come to fetch him home.

Episode 6

Xingchen tried every jump in his arsenal including jumping through a ring of fire but Xia Nu kept up with him.  In the end, she found him going back to Yunchang’s clinic.

After an initial distrust with one another, Xia Nu helped in the clinic with a soldier with some strange illness.

Xia Nu had found a note dropped on the street which looked particularly interesting.  After carefully studying the note, she followed the instructions from it and ended up in a cave.

In the middle of the cave lies a woman on a table in a comatose state.

She seemed to recognise the woman.

Hiding from behind Xia Nu was XingChen who had followed her after finding her looking rather intently at the letter.
