5 February 2023: The meaning of peace, forgiveness, and reconciliation of today’s Lantern Festival seemed to have been overlooked by Seven Tan’s fans because some of them are in revolt for Seven agreeing to do this drama as well as being on an equal billing as Xu Kai. Me, I am looking forward to the finished product of these beautiful good actors. Jiayou, Seven, Jiayou, Xu Kai.

Episode 1
Han Ting had just come back from abroad to take over as a CEO of his family business. On the way to work, his car got prang by Ji Xing who was riding a bike. She was in a hurry and wanted to negotatiate with the driver of the car quickly. Han Ting noticed her and wondered if she was the girl. He instructed his assistant/driver to just exchanged numbers and to make contact later.
The next time they met was during a presentation of innovative AI dental robot which Ji Xing designed but a male colleague pretended was his. Han Ting however asked more complex question which the colleague could not answer. Han Ting commented that obviously he did not do the design the project. Ji Xing had to stand in and competently explained the dental robot clearly and precisely. She noticed Han Ting but he pretended that he did not know her at all so she did not approach him.
Anyway, Ji Xing is already in a relationship with Shao Yi Chen. They have been saving like mad to get an apartment together so Ji Xing had been working like a dog to get her bonus which she was assured will be the maximum given by the company.
Episode 2
Zeng Di used Ji Xing to get young entreprenuers to invest in her AI dental project. Ji Xing is of course very pretty and can talk the talk being an software engineer.
The gathering was also attended by Han Ting who did not like when young Mr Zhao was touchy-feely with Ji Xing.
Han Ting told Zeng Di to send Ji Xing home. Zeng Di complied with gusto which made Ji Xing feel humiliated.
Episode 3
Ji Xing was sexually harrased by the sales manager at a work event. Being a feisty woman and knowing her worth, she did not just take it quietly. She called the police. Her harrasser was arrested and then fired from his job. The repercussion for Ji Xing was that she wa shun at work because without the manager, the workers worried about their end of year bonuses.
Zeng Di the CEO at the company Ji Xing was working realised that there was a brewing chemistry between Ji Xing and Han Ting. Zeng Di had been crushing on Han Ting since they met as students in Germany ten years ago. So Zeng Di instructed another manager not to make it easy for Ji Xing. Instead of doing her usual job of designing and creating AI, she was sent out to companies to do maintenance on computer system.
Episode 4
Ji Xing was forced to resign from her job when she realised that there is no scope for promotion for her. She was gutted that her year-end bonus as well as her project bonus were gone.
Episode 5
Ji Xing’s boyfriend turned up early to surprise her. Ji Xing invited her friends for an impromptu dinner party. Immediately, it is obvious that Yi Chen and Qiu Zi will end up together as there is a frisson between them or at least at Qiu Zi’s side.
Ji Xing then announced that she will start a new business rather than being employed in some company. Her friends and Yi Chen tried to dissuade in engaging in start-up business as they then not to succeed but Ji Xing had made up her mind.
Ji Xing went into business with her old college friend, Su Zhi Zhou. Their new company is called Star Tech. They will be doing 3D printing.
They tried to gain investments but it was unbelievably hard. In desperation, they went to Han Ting who told them that he will create a department in his company that would do 3D Printing and he wanted them to work for him.
Ji Xing was not interested. She told Han Ting that they would just remained as old school friends but Han Ting said that there is no friendship in business only partners or enemies.
Episode 6
Episode 7
Yi Chen finally presented an engagement ring to Ji Xing. His expectant look turned into dismay when Ji Xing said that it was not the time to get engaged and get married. She just had too much in her plate at the moment. Looking at the disappointed face of Yi Chen, Ji Xing said that she will keep the ring but she will propose to him herself when she’s got the funding for Star Tech.
Ji Xing and Su Zhi Zhou was so desperate for 3D Printer that when a former school friend of Su Zhi Zhou told them that there was a spare 3D Printer in the company he was working that can be rented, Ji Xin and Su Zhi Zhou jumped at the chance to rent it.
Without money, they borrowed from friends. Lili generously gave 100,000 yuan to Ji Xing to the 250,000 they gave Su Zhi Zhou’s friend as deposit.
But the 3D printer did not materialise and the friend had also vanished.
Poor Ji Xing was so stressed she collapsed.
Meanwhile, Shao Yi Chen is getting rather close to Qiu Zi, especially when she offered him money to help his family.
Episode 8
Li Li was supportive of Ji Xing and told her not to stress about the money.
Then finally came some silver lining.
Han Yuan, who is Han Ting’s sister contacted Ji Xing. She said that she wanted to invest 20M in Star Tech but she likes a 33.4% shares.
Ji Xing and Su Zhi Zhou was tempted at first but Ji Xing held back after Han Yuan would not confirmed that both Ji Xing and Su Zhi Zhou would remain as the main operative of Star Tech. Han Yuan gave them until 10 the following morning to take her offer.
Su Zhi Zhou was so desperate he wanted to take the offer but Ji Xing explained that from her research, Han Yuan tend to dismiss the manpower of those companies she invested in and put her own people. Su Zhi Zhou and Ji Xing would lose autonomy in their company.
Su Zhi Zhou was really desperate and when Ji Xing left to see Han Yuan, he was relieved. But then Ji Xing said that she turned down the offer.
As soon as Han Ting heard that Ji Xing turned down Han Yuan, he made his move.
He went to Star Tech/Xingchen office and offered the same number of shares condition and the same amount of investment.
Ji Xing was going to turn him down as well but then he told her that Dongyang Medical and his Doctorcloud project could offer her 3D printing project much more. He also agreed that she could have autonomy to Star Tech as long as she reports regularly to Dongyang Medical.
She finally accepted the offer from Han Ting.
She happily went to meet Shao Yi Chen wearing the engagement ring he gave her. She said that as she told him, she would agree to a wedding after she has gotten the investment.
Yi Chen was not too enthusiastic to see Ji Xing at the airport but he did cheer up afterwards but still noticed that he would always be only second to ther work.
Ji Xing went to sign the contract with Han Ting. He was looking at her rather fondly while she was signing the contract but then he noticed her engagement ring.
The truly independent Li Li was enjoying a casual relationshio with Chen Song Lin.
Episode 9
Yi Chen was with Ji Xing. He was telling her what he wanted for them both. He wanted a quiet ordinary life. A simple life where they can do things together. He then noticed that Ji Xing was not listening because she had fallen asleep.
The next morning, he made her breakfast but she had no time to really appreciate it. She was on her mobile phone being hurried to go downstairs for the seminar.
Ji Xing was especially happy as it was the day when she would meet other business entrepreneurs in a medical symposium.
Her happiness evaporated immediately when Yi Chen dropped a bombshell. He told her that he wanted to break up.
She was so shocked at the unexpected of it plus the timing.
She was not her bubbly self during the symposium which concerned Han Ting. He then noticed that she was no longer wearing her engagement ring.
Finally, Xingchen got the raw material and they got busy doing their project.

Episode 16
Han Ting warned Zeng Di not to set up Xingchen Tech because he invested in the company. He said that he will protect it the same way that he will safeguard Zeng Di’s company which he also invested in. Zeng Di knew that Han Ting was serious. So she said that she will call Mr Ma, the supplier for the raw material for Xingchen to facilitate the delivery.
Meanwhile, Qiu Zi could not wait any longer. She went to Shao Yi Chen’s apartment and confessed to him that she fancied him rotten and wanted to be with him forever.
Yi Chen turned her down as he was not ready for another relationship as he was still hung up on Ji Xing. Qiu Zi accepted his decision immediately.
At Xingchen Tech, everyone was running like headless chicken. Zou broke the 3D printer when they crucially needed it the most.
Han Ting advised Ji Xing to punish Zou severely.
Episode 17
The broken printer became a topic for the shareholders. Han Yuan influenced the shareholders to demand that a helicopter manager as Ji Xing is incompetent as a manager being a technical person.
Han Ting told the shareholders to hold their horses. He will deal with Xingchen Tech himself.
Ji Xing sent Li Li and Su Zhizhou to Beijing where an available printer had been located. Time is of the essence as the review of their product was for the next day.
Li Li and Su Zhizhou managed to print the product but there flight back was delayed because of the weather.
Zou and Ji Xing worked to fix their in-house printer. Zou would not give up but the time was ticking.
Han Yuan was waiting with Han Ting in his office. She showed him the contract for installing her assistant as the helicopter manager of Xingchen. Han Ting ignored it and waited for Ji Xing to show up. When everything was looking hopeless, Ji Xing showed up with the product. Han Yuan was so annoyed from being thwarted.
Everything turned out well for Ji Xing in the end and she got her second part of the investment payment.
She was also told by Han Ting that there will be a seminar of AI in the next few days. Ji Xing was excited to attend.
Episode 18
Han Ting ensured that Ji Xing and Xingchen Tech are not overlooked during the seminar. Zeng Di was livid.
Han Ting warned Ji Xing to not engage in a battle of wills with Zeng Di as Zeng Di had already caused the delay in the raw materials for Xingchen.
Though, Ji Xing was annoyed she understood what Han Ting meant of not blowing the small fire and make it bigger.
Episode 19
The seminar helped Xingchen to create a buzz amongst the other companies dealing with AI and IT. A hospital was interested in pioneering her vertebrate into a patient.
It was all lovely but one of the doctors in charge was Yi Chen. Suddenly, Han Ting became jealous and determined that Yi Chen and Ji Xing do not have an alone time.
Li Li and Xiao Yi Xiao had become officially in a relationship. Somehow, there is a mystery in Xiao Yi Xiao’s side.
Su Zhi Zhou was of course absolutely gutted that Li Li is unavailable.
Despite being told that he was not ready for another relationship, Qiu Zi still continued to grace Yi Chen with her presence. She was behaving like a housewife, doing his house chores.
Lu Lin Jia who used to bicker with the vlogger and influencer, Tu Xiao Meng, realised that he had fallen for her.
Chang He who was an investor and had a thing for Zeng Di, tried to get Han Yuan to join forces with him to unseat Han Ting from being the CEO of Dongyang Medical.
Episode 20
Han Ting asked what Ji Xing next move. Ji Xing told him that she had apply for a study leave for Germany.
Ji Xing then was surprised when she met Han Ting and his assistant on the plane. He later toured her in Germany and as her beck and call. He even agreed to show her around Dongyang HQ in Germany.
He was rather intimate with her and only a numbskull would not know that he has got the hots for her.
Anyway, Qiu Zi perseverance in quietly chasing after Yi Chen begins to pay off. He noticed how nurturing she was and started to see her in a different light.
Meanwhile, despite being official as boyfriend and girlfriend, Yi Xiao is still keeping secrets from Li Li including being best friend with Han Ting.
Episode 21
Han Ting was so obvious that he likes her so Ji Xing finally acknowledge it. But then the next morning on her last day in Germany, she saw Han Ting having what seemed to be an intimate breakfast with Zeng Di.
Zeng Di made most of the opportunity to show Ji Xing that Han Ting was hers. Finally Han Ting noticed what was going on when he saw Ji Xing leaving. He told off Zeng Di to not cross the bound.
He then message Ji Xing that whatever she saw was nothing.
Ji Xing was so happy that Han Ting did not make her misundertand anything.
Anyway, Qiu Zi and Yi Chen are officially loved up though they are still cautious of coming out. Qiu Zi did say to Yi Chen that Ji Xing was being chase by somebody so they have not long to wait hiding their relationship.
Meanwhile, Li Li was not really happy with Yi Xiao. She realised that she did not know much about him and he gets some mysterious phonecalls and would not allow her to come and go to his place.
Episode 22
It was Ji Xing’s birthday and the first one to greet her a happy birthday was Han Ting who camped in his living room floor watching and waiting for the clock on his coffee table to turn midnight. He then asked her what she was doing for her birthday.
Ji Xing told him that she was going to dinner with her besties.
Anyway, Ji Xing was the first one to arrive at her party. She loved how her friends pre-decorated the room for her birthday. She was watching them from the window as they arrived but then something shocking happened.
Li Li and Xiomeng confronted Qiu Zi who was given a lift by Yichen. They saw them hugging. Qiu Zi said that she got together with Yichen after he had broken up with Ji Xing.

She explained to her staff and business partner that the merger with Han Hai more or less would not change anything as per final contract she signed with Dongyang and Han Hai. No staff will be fired unless they commit mistake and they would still have and independent R&D.
Ji Xing moved out Han Ting apartment. She had become completely illogical. She cannot separate business from personal life.
Anyway, it was another new year. She went home and her parents wanted to know where Han Ting was. She made some excuses but they can see that she was not very happy,
Anyway, it was the first general meeting of the newly merged HanHai Star Tech. Han Ting went to the meeting especially early but then he was so disappointed to find that Ji Xing missed the meeting.
Ji Xing was still in a huff. She was smarting from something she does not really know. She got so worked up, she decided to leave HanHai Star Tech all together.
Honestly, this drama had gone down hill. It does not make sense anymore. How can they make the genius girl turned stupid and overly emotional.
Episode 33
She cowardly left Star Tech without personally telling her staff and business partners. Instead she sent and email to each one and a token goodbye present.
Even Han Ting fot a prefunctory message. He went to see Li Li to ask where Ji Xing was as she can’t be contacted by phone. Li Li told Han Ting to leave Ji Xing alone, give her some space.
There is miles and miles of space between them currently as Ji Xing flew to Germany where she happened to meet a new guy, young Dr Qin, the renowned IT prodigy based in Germany but had decided to return to China.
Without Ji Xing at the helm of Star Tech, they are being taken advantage by Han Hai. The supposed merger is turning into a complete take over. Poor Zhi Zhou was too busy with a new project to deal with Han Hai’s high-handedness.
Episode 34
Despite Ji Xing being away from Star Tech, the company started thriving after initial teething problems. Su Zhizhao created an app that enable the 3D Printer to function faster which was lauded and enabled Han Hai Star Tech to compete worldwide.
Ji Xing had calmed down and realised that the merger was beneficial for Star Tech but she was still angry about the love thing.
Han Ting went to Germany to visit the HQ and recruit Qin Li. He accidentally met Ji Xing at the plaza. She was with Qin Li. Qin Li knew that the two obviously knew each other but Ji Xing said that they were former schoolmates rather than ex live-in lovers.🤣
Anyway, when they were alone, after Qin Li left as he is much sought after as tech scientist, Ji Xing and Han Ting resumed their talk about sodding bleeding love🤣.
Ji Xing moaned that he did not love her. He said that love to him is a growth everyday. He categorically said to Ji Xing that between love and business, business would always comes first but what he can absolutely promised was that he would only love her.
They went back to China and Qin Li too who now works at Danyang Group.
Meanwhile, Lili started to feel that Su Zhizhou is sexy. Aww Love these two.
Episode 35
Ji Xngi’s parents came to town and had a meet up with Han Ting. He confessed that he and Han Ting had broken up in the New Year. He said that it was all his fault but he still loves Ji Xing.
They told Han Ting that they know their daughter that she is a stubborn little madam.
Episode 36
Qin Li was sent back abroad as the frontman of Dongyang Group.
Meanwhile, Ji Xing went to the annual seminar at Zhenshen. She was proud that she was invited as herself not a tag-along with someone.
Han Ting once again was a speaker. He made use of his speech as a way to apologise to Ji Xing. She was really moved and decided to move back in with him.
But it got dramatic, because Mr Zou of Zou Group who was being investigated by police and would likely end up in prison, barged in the apartment when Ji Xing was alone. He kidnapped her.
Instigated by Chang He, Mr Zou blamed Han Ting for reporting him for fraud.
Han Ting came to Ji Xing rescue. It was a rather a traumatic confrontation. Han Ting fell down from the railings of the buidling with Mr Zou.
Ji Xing was gutted but saw that the police and fire department had already set up an emergency inflatable mat which cushioned Han Ting and Mr Zou’s fall.
There seemed to be only one doctor in the hospital and that was Yi Chen 🤣🤣🤣 whose prognosis was that Han Ting had no medical issues from the fall except sensitive spine and cuts and bruises.
Ji Xing told Han Ting that when she said that will he die for her, she was just kidding. She said it at the heat of the moment. Han Ting looked at her tenderly. She said that if he had really fallen dead she would have jumped after him. 😊
So they are really back together.
Meanwhile, Su Zhizhou had been offered a study-training in Germany which would last for 3 years. Upon return, he would be give an automatic promotion.
Su Zhizhou was not very enthusiastic with the offer.
Episode 37
Zeng Di visited Han Ting in the hospital after feeling guilty having found out that Cheng Le had incited Mr Zou with taking revenge against Han Ting. However, once she saw how loved up Han Ting and Ji Xing were, she can’t helped but make Ji Xing feel unsure of her place in Han Ting’s life.
Ji Xing just told her that she was bitter and twisted.
Han Ting was discharge from the hospital with a strict instruction to take it easy and rest as much as possible.
That night, he was was in bed with Ji Xing and as he missed her very much, they spent a very strenuous time under the covers.
Of course his back started hurting but he hid the fact from Jixing. He was suffering from silence.
Episode 38
Zeng Di and Chang He continues to plot against Ji Xing and Star Tech to hurt Han Ting. But they failed yet again as Ji Xing had matured and able to deal with the business competently and logically.
Zeng Di was unstoppable with he rplotting that even Chang He was getting rather weary of the whole thing.
Zhi Zhou tried one more time to confess to Lili but failed again. Li Li does like him but she heard that Su Zhi Zhou had been offered an excellent opportunity to train in Germany and a big promotion afterwards when back in China, She can’t take that away from him so she turned him down.
LIn Jia and Xiao Meng are getting on famously.
Poor Han Ting’s back is in trouble and needed surgery. Ji Xing was besides herself with worry.
Then she also got another problem at work when a vlogger posted that Star Tech product was radioactive. Ji Xing held a press conference to clear the matter up.

Episode 41
This extra episode is rather poignant. It showed different phases of the married life of Han Ting and Ji Xing. For a successful couple they lived in a fairly modest house. They loved the house so much that they declined the offer of Grandpa Han to buy them a mansion.
Anyway, Han Ting and Ji Xing are getting on well. They did not have a child immediately despite Grandpa Han encouraging them to give him a grandchild as soon as possible. Eventually they had a son and then another son. Ji Xing was rather broody for a little princess but the boys and their father said that she was the princess in the family.
They discussed about AI and the possibility that it might developed so fast that they would end up as another species and that they would be more competent than humans. Ji Xing asked Han Ting what his take on it. He said that before he had her and the boys, he was fairly complacent about AI but now, he was a tad wary.
Anyway more years passed. Ji Xing told Han Ting that if he dies before her she will not forgive him. More years passed and it showed Han Ting clutching the forgiveness card.
Widow, Ji Xing was fairly content on her rocking chair in the garden, probably waiting for the time that she would be reunited with Han Ting.
I must say, Xu Kai did make Han Ting looked so vulnerable and rather fragile as he grows older.
I started watching this film and I thought it was pretty interesting.
Very watchable with a gorgeous cast.
Luo Jin is so gorgeous as Han Yan that both Xiao Qiao and Wei Yang had fallen for him.
Wei Yang was a loner, she was a battered child. A victim of mother, who could not forget nor forgive her husband. Wei Yang became the outlet to vent her frustration.
As a child, she would be force to stay outside the door while her mother had sex with some guys.
Her lonely life had suddenly became brighter when a cheerful girl transferred to her school.
The girl was Xiao Qiao who Wei Yang was shocked to see was the doppelganger of her mother.
But Xiao Qiao was different from her mother. She was always happy and talks by the dozens. In no time they had become firm friends.
But then Wei Yang met a guy who was so handsome and friendly. fixed her beloved motorbike for her. He seemed to really care about her wellbeing.
One day, Xiao Qiao invited Wei Yang to an exhibition.
There Xiao Qiao saw the kind guy at the exhibition. Xiao Qiao appeared and introduced the kind guy to Wei Yang as her boyfriend, Han Yan, who she had known for ten years.
Wei Yang was shocked so she started keeping away from Han Yan.
But new year’s eve, Xiao Qiao invited her to celebrate with her and Han Yan. They were outside with a group of people celebrating the coming new year. They were drinking and then couples started snogging as the clock stroke 12 midnight including Han Yan and a rather drunk Xiao Qiao.
Wei Yang decided to leave them to it and went wandering by the lighthouse.
All of a sudden, Han Yan was there. It started raining and they got soak and went inside the lighthouse.
They were both shivering and needed to keep warm. They removed their wet clothes and before you know it they were having sex.
Han Yan broke up with the vibrant Xiao Qiao who became depressed.
