Storyline conjecture:
The drama is also known as The 8020 Rule of Love which means this marriage is imbalanced as it favours the other, probably the wife. The husband loved her so much so he does everything for her, ergo becoming perfect in every way.
Or the perfect husband is just so gorgeous, the wife adores him so much, she does everything for him and started to lose herself and be so downtrodden.
Wow, this drama is going to be interesting. It is not going to be an idol romance. It will be angsty and would probably be like Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas’s War of the Roses or Brad Pitt and Angelina’s Mr & Mrs Smith.
So exciting. Can’t wait.
According to the synopsis though is that the leads fall in love with each other after undergoing an arranged marriage.

Episode 1
This drama has been postponed so many times, it was quite a shock that it actually dropped today, 14 November 2022.
The first episode is ok but hope it gets more exciting.
Anyway, Qin Shi is a first-class lawyer but she was keeping a secret. When she first got employed at Cheng & Hui Law Office, she was forced to pretend that she was married. Her mentor in the office told her that she had to pretend to be married to get ahead.
A couple of years later, she was sort of asked to produce her gorgeous husband, who she has a photo on her office desk.
Her boss, Tang Yi Hui, was celebrating her wedding anniversary with the Professor when Yang Hua turned up.
Tang Yi Hui was so excited to finally meet Qin Shi’s husband. So she went looking for Qin Shi to take her to her husband.
Qin Shi was shocked but she can’t really do anything in front of the other guests but kiss her ‘husband’ who though shocked did not resist.
Qin Shi took him to a private room where she explain why she had to pretend to be married to a random man.
He understood but told her that he wanted a ‘divorce’ because their pretend marriage will have a butterfly effect and he does not want his life affected by some pseudo-relationship. He gave her three days to announce that they were divorced.
When Yang Hua got home he found that his mother had changed the locks. His mother had been asking him to get married but he totally refused so his mother punished him for not being filial.
She threw him out.
Episode 2
Qin Shi tried to tell Yihui about her real status but Yihui has some worries of her own so in the end, Qin Shi went to see Yang Hua, who himself posted a temporary girlfriend vacancy with good pay.
When Qin Shi showed up Yang Hua told her that he would not consider someone who lies to get to the top of the career ladder.
Episode 3
Of course, they would get to a fake relationship in the end. Yang Hua was really impressed with Qin Shi when he brought her to see his parents.
Qin Shi was more of an Alpha Woman than his mother. Qin Shi was able to run roughshod against her fake mother-in-law.
Qin Shi and Yang Hua went to attend a dinner party given by Cheng & Hui’s number 1 client, Mrs Lan of Lan Group. Qin Shi told Yang Hua to memorise the information she passed him which included his new life as an investment banker and that they have a two-year-old son called Ne Zha. They seemed to have a full life.
At the party, they met Tao Jun Hui, who used to date Qin Shi. They dated for seven years but it all ended messily when Tao Jun Hui’s mother absolutely refused to accept Qin Shi into their family.
At present, Tao Jun Hui is actually dating Fei Fei, who seemed to be from an affluent family but working for Qin Shi as an assistant.
Episode 4
Qin Shi was not able to convince Mrs Lan to hire Cheng & Hui as her company’s lawyer. Mrs Lan more or less said that Qin Shi is too ambitious. She advised her to be more womanly and relaxed. But at the same time, she said that she left all the company’s decisions to Lan Dafeng, her niece.
Meanwhile, Tao Jun Hui cornered Qin Shi and took her to the men’s toilet to quiz her about her marriage to Yang Hua.
He was still really bitter when she dumped him unceremoniously.
Later on, when Yang Hua turned up with a plate of roast beef for Qin Shi, Tao Jun Hui was so dismissive that Yang Hua seemed not to know what Qin Shi’s likes and dislikes.
Qin Shi however ignored him and took a bite of the beef. But later on she came out in hives. She was allergic to beef.
When they returned home, Qin Shi was asked immediately by her sister-in-law to witness her kill her husband.
Episode 5
I am beginning to love this drama. I love Yang Mi and Xu Kai’s characters.
Anyway, Mother Yang was not convinced that Yang Hua was really into Qin Shi so to test her son, she told him that she was open-minded and encouraged him to move in with Qin Shi to find out if they were compatible.
It so happened that Qin Shi needed Yang Hua’s finance expertise to look into a client. He was a great help and she noticed that he was well-mannered bordering on being timid so when she found out about his mother’s suspicion of her and Yang Hua’s relationship, she told Yang Hua to move in with her. He showed him a spare bedroom.
He was only too happy to comply and he is the ideal housemate. He cleaned up the whole apartment including the fridge. He tidied up her clothes and make-up. The house is sparkling.
Meanwhile, Qin Shi’s eldest brother, Qin Wen Bin asked both Qin Shi and Qin Wen Yu to come to dinner to discuss their father’s 70th birthday. It looks like the three have the same father but different mothers.
Qin Shi found that Wu Fei is quite a diligent personal assistant. Wu Fei mentioned Qin Shi to her boyfriend, Tao Jun Hui, who denied that he was really acquainted with Qin Shi. They were just casual schoolmates in law college.
Episode 6
Wu Fei turned out to be the daughter of the CEO of Qi’Mei PR.
What Yang Hua said about the butterfly effect and six degrees of separation started happening.
Li Dai decided to have a bit of a life and finally contemplated going on a blind date. The man she was told to meet was none other than Yang Hua.
It seemed his mother had not taken out his profile from the elite dating agency.
Li Dai tried to find out if her supposed blind date was the ‘husband’ of her nemesis, Qin Shi.
Episode 7
Wu Fei mentioned to Tao Jun Hui that Qin Shi asked about him. Immediately Tao Jun Hui was curious what Qin Shi said. Wu Fei told him that Qin Shi wanted to know what cases he was working on.
Tao Jun Hui felt so nostalgic about Qin Shi, he drove to her apartment building. He then reminisced that the apartment was chosen by them both for their married life. They had such a good loving time planning for their future.
Tao Jun Hui saw Yang Hua returning to the apartment with a drain unblocker. He could not help telling Yang Hua that he used to live with Qin Shi in the same apartment.
Meanwhile, Qin Shi and her sister-in-law were talking about how Qin Shi kept her toyboy a secret for two years. Meimei said that she was impressed.
They were so drunk. Yang Hua was worried about them but then Meimei was fetched by her driver. That leaves Qin Shi who kept trying to go to work. Yang Hua had to sleep in Yang Hua’s bedroom doorway to prevent her from leaving the house throughout the night.
The next morning, Qin shi had to meet up with Lan Daping regarding the fraudulent company.
Episode 8
Tang Hi Yui got back her 25M investment from Mrs Lan through Daping. Daping warned them not to divulge any salacious and denouncing information about their company.
Meanwhile, after making 80 phone calls to law offices, Mother Yang found where Qin Shi worked.
She sort of dropped Qin Shi into Li Dai with incriminating information about the real relationship between Yang Hua and Qin Shi.
Thank goodness, Qin Shi arrived before it got worst.
Mother Yang told Qin Shi that she was too good for her son, she could find someone else.
Yang Hua then arrived and between him and Qin Shi explained that their marriage will be not about love but a partnership. An end to a mean.
Mother Yang is strange. She wanted to marry off Yang Hua but interferes too much.
Episode 9
Mother Yang told Yang Hua to go home. She will not force him again about getting married. If he does not want to get married then that was fine too. She said that if Yang Hua ended up marrying Qin Shin, they will end up divorce and no one in their family was ever divorced.
This was too much for Qin Shi who said that surely it was Yang Hua’s feeling that should be above all else for Mother Yang. If Yang Hua did end up divorced, Mother Yang should be still supporting him against societal prejudices.
Yang Hua looked at Qin Shi admiringly while Mother Yang was askance and said that she was too disrespectful. She then told her son to leave with her.
Yang Hua led his mother to a taxi but told her that he will see her later as he still has some business to do.
He went back to Cheng and Hui and plucked the barefooted Qin Shi as she was coming out off the lift and carried her all the way to her office.
The staff were all admiring. LI Dai could not believe it.
In her office, Yang Hua cleaned Qin Shi’s feet which made her soften towards Yang Hua. She told him that they will talk later in their apartment.
Yang Hua went to have dinner at his parents’ house. He told them that he will not be going back home because being with Qin Shi made him realised that he should be independent of his parents after all he is almost 30.
His father was impressed with him and opened his finest wine because at last his son is grown up.
Yang Hua returned to Qin Shi in a drunken state. He told her to go to sleep being the body should not be abused because it is unique among other beings at it houses the soul given by God.
Qin Shi was smiling at Yang Hua’s homily. He then told her that the first time he saw her, he thought she was the definition of beauty.
This really made Qin Shi giggle.
The next morning, she told Yang Hua that he promised to go with her to a lunch party at her boss.
This party was a way of introducing her as a partner at Cheng & Hui.
Episode 10
At the luncheon party at Hui’s house, Qin Shi was surprised and rather annoyed to find Li Dai had been invited as well.
Qin Shi had reasons to be annoyed or rather alarmed because Li Dai proceeded to tell Hui that she knew Yang Hua already. She told Hui that Yang Hua was actually meeting her during Professor Jin’s party.
Qin Shi did not know what to say but then Yang Hua blindsided them with another issue. He said that he had lost his high-power job a year ago and had not told Qin Shi about it because he did not know how to. The blind date issue was immediately forgotten after Qin Shi pretended that she was shocked and upset that her husband had not told her about losing his job.
Li Dai knew she lost.
Will Qin Shi get to move up the 11th Floor of Cheng & Hui where the partners have their offices?
Episode 11
Mother Yang made a house visit at Qin Shi’s apartment. She was impressed with the flat. She asked her son if he shares the same bedroom as Qin Shi.
He immediately denied it and said that he hardly see Qin Shi as she was a workaholic and plus the fact that they are not married yet.
Mother Yang went to the bedroom and it was neat except for an opened pocket of condoms on the floor. When she opened the bedside table, she saw a huge stock of condoms and other contraception.
She was so shocked and told the clueless Ysng Hua to make sure that Qin Shi is not pregnant before their wedding.
I have to say, I quite like Ren Mei Mei but Qin Wen Yu is a bit of a waste of space. His scenes are boring.
Apparently, Harwick Lau, who is Yang Mi’s ex-husband in real life, is dating Li Xiao Feng, who plays Ren Mei Mei. I have to admit Yang Mi and Li Xiao Feng are very civil to each other. There is no sign of any problem between them. They are believable as best friends.
Anyway, back at Cheng & Hui, Qin Shi and LI Dai were called to the 11th floor. They met their new client. It was Mrs Lan and Dan Ping.
Episode 12
Hui secretly advised Qin Shi not to get involved with the Lowe & Magnolia case if she wanted to go for being a corporate lawyer/partner. Hui told her that it would get so messy.
Later on, Qin Shi was telling Yang Hua that it was a meaty case and she was intrigued by it. They were in the supermarket getting meat for hotpot when they met Tao Jun Hui and Wu Fei.
Finally, Qin Shi learned that Wu Fei is not only engaged to be married to Tao Jun Hui but also the daughter of the CEO of Qimei.
Qin Shi told Wu Fei that there will be a conflict of interest if she keeps working as her assistant in the case,
It was obvious that there was something going on between Tao Jun Hui and Qin Shi as he was ultra-abrasive towards Qin Shi.
When Wu Fei invited Qin Shi to her wedding Tao Jun Hui vetoed the idea immediately.
Meanwhile, Danping called Hui to report that Mrs Lan, her aunt had disappeared.
Episode 13
Qin Shi with Yang Hua found Mrs Lan at the airport waiting for her husband’s return from abroad. After long hours of wait, Mrs Lan gave up after being advised by Qin Shi that she should not put herself and her self-respect below anyone else.
The desperate Mrs Lan saw the logic in it so she asked Qin Shi to handle her divorce.
`Hui was not happy with Qin Shi ignoring her advice to keep away from the case but Qin Shi said that the case came to her.
Qin Shi will be working with her frenemy, Li Dai.
Anyway, as they gather her evidence for the divorce, Wu Fei was excluded. With good reasons to because Tao Jun Hui managed to decipher what Wu Fei tried to hide that Mrs Lan was divorcing her husband.
Wu Fei was very sad about not being included.
Meanwhile, the elite dating agency had told Mother Yang that their client was going to sue her for entering her married son to the agency.
Mother Yang looked for the contacts of the supposed date of Yang Hua and found Li Dai’s business card.
Episode 14
Hui told Qin Shu and Li Dai that they were dropping the case of Mrs. Lan as her husband had thoroughly siphoned off all the monies in their business. Nothing. is left for Mrs. Lan.
Qin Shu was rather upset about just dropping Mrs. Lan but Hui said the decision is non-negotiable.
Hui also was worried that Qin Shi was attacked at the car park by bullish debt collected. She was saved by Tan Jun Hui and Yang Hua.
Qin Shi was beginning to have naughty feelings for Yang Hua.
Episodes 15 – 16
It was Qin Shi’s father’s 70th birthday and his blended family got together and shared an intimate home cook dinner. But before long, everyone was fighting as both current and ex-wives were at the party with their children.
Qin Wen Yu could not helped announcing that Qin Shi is living with a man.
Everyone wanted to know when she was going to get married.
Qin Shi and Li Dai had the same idea. They both went to Mrs. Lan separately to offer their personal services, not as lawyers from Cheng & Hui which apparently is not contravening any rules.
They advised Mrs Lan not to divorce her husband but instead, should take control of the company.
Afterwards, Qin Shi and Li Dai had a conversation where Li Dai showed Qin Shi proof that she knows Qin Shi was not married to Yang Hua.
Li Dai told Qin Shi that she will not reveal it to the management but she expect Qin Shi to withdraw from the 11th Floor promotion.
Qin Shi mentioned this to Yang Hua who asked her how important for her to be at the 11th Floor. Qin Shi told him that being a partner would give her more voice and would like to change some of the unfair rules at the law office.
Yang Hua said that there is only one solution. They had to get married.
Qin Shi thought that was rather extreme at first but when she got to work the next morning, she got a fright as Hui was going mental as someone was apparently lying about their status. Qin Shi was really to confess and was quite scared about but then Hui said that one of the partners was divorced and had not said anything about it.
With this pressure, Qin Shi agreed to the marriage proposal from Yang Hua.
But then, their problem had just started because they would need their respective family registers to get a marriage licence.
Episode 17
Qin Wu Yan found it hilarious to get Yang Hua drunk and then pumped him with information when Qin Shi brought Yang Hua to meet her family.
With alcohol loosening his tongue, Yang Hua confessed to the Qins that he was unemployed and would be a househusband to Qin Shi.
Qin Shi’s mother was scandalised and said that Qin Shi dumped Tao Jun Hui for a jobless guy.
Qin Shi had enough so she confessed to her family the real reason for her breakup with Tao Jun Hui. It was because they did not want her. They did not like their own family to be sullied by someone coming from a broken family.
The Qins were shocked and felt guilt.
Qin Shi’s mother gave the family register to Qin Shi and said that she was old enough to choose her marriage partner.
Yang Hua’s father invited Yang Hua and Qin Shi to have lunch with him in a restaurant. He then presented them with the family register he found Mother Yang hid it inside the medicine box.
Episode 18
They have done it; they are officially married but their respective families wanted a proper wedding ceremony.
It was stressful to arrange it as both families wanted a grand wedding but who should pay for it.
Finally, a drunk Yang Hua confessed to Qin Shi that he was in love with her.
BTW, I must mention that Jiang Kai playing the role of Professor Jin is absolutely handsome in this drama. He really looks like a lawyer.

The wedding.
The wedding night was eventful. Qin Shi got so excited after seeing how brilliant Yang Hua was counting/flicking all the red notes they received in their wedding’s red envelopes that she said he looked so sexy.
One thing led to another. The next morning, Yang Hua was very upfront that he likes her and asked her to be his real girlfriend.
Qin Shi was attracted to him as well so she kissed him passionately in agreement.
Yang Hua’s parents immediately told Yang Hua to provide them with a grandchild. Thankfully, he and Qin Shi had already discussed what their stock answer would be, that they do want to have a baby as soon as possible that is why they are preparing their bodies to be as healthy as possible. This answer seemed to satisfy the Yangs.
Meanwhile, Qin Shi’s parents have a more complicated situation. Qin Shi’s mother wanted to sell up and move out into another apartment as she was fed of living below her husband’s ex-wife’s apartment above them.
But it was not as easy as Qin Shi thought it would be because her father confess that they don’t have an apartment. For 30 years he had kept it from his wife that they are living in his ex-wife’s apartment through the goodness of her heart. The Ex-wife said that her ex was conned by a friend who asked Qin Shi’s father to be a guarantor. The friend ran off with the money and left her father to continue paying his massive debt. So the ex-wife allowed him to live in the apartment, below her own, with his new wife. And this had been a secret from the wife for years.
When Qin Shi’s mother found out about this, she did not rant and rave but actually admired her husband from keeping it a secret so she is not worried but still she wanted to move house.
When Yang Hua heard about it, he told Qin Shi that he will get a proper job so they could give the house they are living now to her parents while he buys them a big house. Aww, he is the perfect husband

Thank goodness, Li Dai is back. I like her character
Qin Shi and Yang Hua had their first semi-domestic. Qin Shi got upset when Yang Hua would not tell her what was troubling him.
Episode 25
They made up after Yang Hua apologised to Qin Shi. Yes, he is learning fast. Women are always right!🤣🤣🤣 He told her that he was finding it hard to come to terms that she was in a relationship with Tao Jun Hui, that Jun Hui knew her for seven years, that Tan Jun Hui knew Qin Shi before him.
Qin Shi bought this apology.
According to Yang Hua, men are more pro-marriage as passed from a patriarchal ideology. This reasoning is from wanting to pass on their assets to their true bloodline in the form of family. He added that women were fenched off before where men are the hunter/gatherer and protect their women but women are made of stronger stuff, they are equal and even stronger in some respect.
Qin Shi was falling in love deeper and deeper with her gorgeous husband. She told him that he can sleep with her that night.
After their passion, Yang Hua asked Qin shi what she likes about him.
She pointed to her head/brain and his heart.
He wanted her to elaborate about his heart.
She said she had met many bad men before but Yang Hua is different. He has a pure heart and he is kind.
Yang Hua said that he is not really that pure at heart as he commenced a second round of loving.🤣🤣🤣, naughty perfect husband.
Meanwhile, Wu Fei was heartbroken. Her father gave her photos of Tao Jun Hui lovingly staring at the sleeping Qin Shi at the office. He covered her with his own jacket.
Wu Fei was so upset she was less than a scintillating lawyer when she was in court.
Episode 26
Wu Fei showed the photos to Hui. She knew that it was Hui who sent the photos to her dad. Anyway, Hui told her that she must not mind of Qin Shi and Tao Jun Hui because first love always has something special about it. Jealousy would only make her the loser.
Hui added that if she really wanted to test Jun Hui then make him sign a pre-nup.
Wu Fei marched into Jun Hui office where he was in a chummy conversation about their client with Qin Zhi. Anyway, Wu Fei made Qin zhi leave.
Wu Fei then gave the prenup agreement to Jun Hui.
Jun Hui did not even read the whole of the document before reaching for a pen to sign it.
Wu Fei got really angry and told Jun Hui not to let anyone treat him that way. He should be more confident and not let anyone bully him into signing anything.
Jun Hui hugged the crying Wu Fei. She realised that he was not marrying her for her money. He might not be but his mother does; Anyway, they made up.
Qin Zhi wanted to be more housewifely to Yang Hua but she was hopeless as a housemaker.
Yang Hua found her on her knees cleaning the kitchen floor from the explosion she made with her burnt stir-fry.
Yang Hua told her that she does not have to do housework as she was not good at it.
Anyway, later on Qin Zhi found out from Yang Hua that he had been fired from his job because he told his client not to touch the new investment fund Cloud Bank is offering as it has many wrong things about it.
The General Manager found out about it and fired Yang Hua.
Qin Zhi went to see the manager with Yang Hua. At first, the manager was really scathing that Yang Hua had to bring his wife with him. But within minutes, he was left speechless when Qin Zhi talked extensively about labour laws and that the manager and the bank contravened employees’ rights ad the labour law
After the meeting, Yang Hua was so proud of his wife he had always thought was a goddess
Episode 27
Yang Hua resumed working at Cloud Bank and with promotion as well as the bank president was rather grateful for his foresight on the substandard investment fund they were advising their clients to put their money into.
Yang Hua’s relationship with Qin Zhi is getting stronger and stronger with Qin Zhi telling him to live with her forever and that she will look after him.
Meanwhile, it was meet the parents for Wu Fei and Tao Jun Hui.
Tao Jun Hui was rather unhappy that they were gifted with a house by Wu Fei’s parents. His mother noticed and asked him about it later on. He admitted that he signed a prenup as well.
The mother could not help comparing Wufei to Qin Shi but she said at least Wu Fei had a better family background.
The next case at Cheng & Hui was a movie star complaining of being thrown out of a hotel at the early hours in the morning.
Episode 28
Poor Yang Hua had a meltdown because his past had caught up with him. The happiest person for his misfortune is Wu Fei who thinks his reckoning is coming which will drag down her mortal enemy, Qin Zhi.
I hope Wu Fei is dealt a blow in the coming episodes.
Episode 29
Tao Jun Hui and Wu Fei are always bickering because of her pathological hatred of Qin Zhi because of her jealousy. She told Jun Hui that she would like to see Qin Zhi expelled from Cheng & Hui.
Meanwhile, Yang Hua told Qin Zhi everything that happened to him in Canada four years ago which ended his career having been made a scapegoat.
A former colleague of Yang Hua had appeared on the scene. He is Mr. Wang, who could have explained what had happened to the failed project but he didn’t.
Yang Hua absolutely hated his old mentor Qiao Jianyang because he ensured that Yang Hua could not get employment as soon as left Canada to return to China.
So Yang Hua became depressed and stayed in bed for six months until his mother told him to get up and find any kind of job.
Again, poor Yang Hua cried all over Qin Zhi.
The next morning, he can’t be asked to get up to go to work because he was still upset. But his father turned up telling him that Li Dai had turned up at their house yesterday asking if Yang Hua can speak for Qiao Jiangyang who had been arrested for misappropriating funds.
Yao Yao the maitre’d at the hotel where the new client of Cheng & Hui stayed and was allegedly bullied turned up at the C&H.
Qin Shi did not know who she was but she was very efficient when she dealt with the bracelet Qin zhi dropped on the lift.
Episode 30
Wang Jiesen turned up at C&H as a representative of Hu Ping who is a potential investor to C&H.
He was singling out Qin Zhi because he was so curious of Yang Hua.
Yang Hua went to see his old mentor in prison.
Later on, Yang Hua wanted to know if Qin Zhi would think better of him if he was a yuppy. Qin Zhi said that she can’t really say because she did not know him then but as of now, she like that he is kind and pure of heart.

Episode 31 – 32
Hui mentioned to Qin Zhi that Wu Fei wanted her fired but she told the girl how much money Qin Zhi brings in to the firm.
Wang Jiesen is seducing Qin Zhi with a more high-power job.
It turned out that Yao Yao was an ex-girlfriend of Yong Hua. Is Yong Hua the father of YaoYao’s daughter?
It looks like Yong Hua was not that pure of heart after all because when Cai Liang asked him who he would save if Qin Zhi and Yao Yao were both in peril, Yong Hua can’t give a definite answer.
He had a chance to put this theory into practice because Cai Liang had just told him that Yao Yao was stabbed by a loony hotel guest. While Qin Zhi was alone with Jiesen.
As for Tao Junhai, he would choose Qin Zhi over his girlfriend. He was the one who came to the ‘rescue’ of Qin Zhi from the salacious Wang Jiesen. He should actually save Qin Zhi from his deranged jealous girlfriend, Wu Fei who was going out of control and found out about the contract marriage document between Qin Zhi and Yang Hua.
Wu Fei asked Hui to fire Qin Zhi. Hui told Wu Fei that Qin Zhi brings in a lot of money to the company.

Episode 33
The reason why Yang Hua did not show up was that he had a car accident in Cai Liang’s car he was driving.
Yang Hua then left poor Cai Liang to explain the accident to the police while Yang Hua went to C&H demanding that they recall Qin Zhi back from her meeting with Wang Jiesen.
It turned out that Jiesen was having an affair with Dongma, the celebrity. So at the villa he was hugging from behind was Qin Zhi. He was telling her how much he likes her and would treat her so well which of course shocked his lover Dongma.
Huping, Dongma’s husband then turned up and told Dongma that the divorce paper will send to her studio.
Jiesen will never work in finance again.
Wu Fei who had task a C&H investigator to follow Qin Zhi was sent of photo of Qin Zhi with her knight in shining arrow, Tao Junhui. She was heartbroken.
The next day, she told Tao Junhui that she does not like working at C&H anymore and would like him to leave with her.
Tao Junhui knows that she is too much of a handful and allowed her to go home all by herself when she threatened to walk out.
Episode 34
Qin Zhi and Yang Hua were invited to dinner by Jin and Hui with two of the other partners. Some announcement were made at the dinner table like getting investment from Huping which means they would have more branches of C&H in Asia. Hui then announced that Qin Zhi had been made the youngest partner at C&H.
Qin Zhi was not expecting it at all so she had to keep telling Yang Hua that she must be dreaming
Anyway, they were alone at the Jin’s study when Qin Zhi got a bit worried about her marital issue/lie.
Yang Hua advised her that perhaps this is the best time to come clean about it.
They were just about to find the Jins when Qin Zhi received a call from Tao Junhui. telling her not to tell the Jins about her marriage even. when evidence was presented. Junhui was actually concerned that Wu Fei was about to create more mayhem and divulge everything at the Jins because she was emotionally hyper when she realised that Junhui still has feelings for Qin Zhi
Anyway, Jin and Hui finally came to see them.
Hui said that Qin Zhi should stay with JIn as they talk about the contract while she talks about investment with Yang Hua
Both Qin Zhe and Yang Hua found that signing the partner’s contract is more complicated than they expected.
Episode 35
Yang Hua rushed to tell Qin Zhe not to sign the contract because she would be committing fraud but then Qin Zhe said that she already know that they know about her circumstances.
Qin Zhe was demoted to legal assistance.
Wu Fei tried to humiliate her but Qin Zhe was too good and too experience for her so Wu Fei was the one who was humiliated.
She then resigned.
Episode 36
Seriously, Yang Hua is such a selfish git. Such a drama queen.
He saw Junhui drunkenly hugging a resisting Qin Zhe and what does Yang Hua do? He did not come to his wife’s rescue immediately. He just stood there listening and fueling his jealosy as Junhui begged Qin Zhe to marry him.
Qin Zhe kept turning him down telling him she was married.
Finally when Yang Hua decided to act and take Qin Zhi home, he asked her for a divorce because he wants a real relationship. What about what she want? He knew she was growing dependent on him.
He would not change his narrow mind so poor Qin Zhi was forced to go through the divorce the next day with him.
`I don’t like Yang Hua at all.
Episode 37
The perfect husband who is now an ex, was happy to hear that Qin Zhi had real feelings for him. He did not regret insisting on the divorce. Selfish shit.
Now, he is siding on his ex-lover Yao Yao who has a five-year-old son, who might be his son.
Meanwhile, Tan Jinhui cannot understand why Qin Zhi was giving him the cold shoulder.
Anyway, he told her that she does not really belong at C&H. She said though that she had spend so much time at C&H she can’t leave now.
Episode 38
This drama is getting worse and worse.
I don’t even like Qin Zhi anymore. She doesn’t have self-respect. How can she go running for her immature ex-husband, who must know that she is upset about their divorce but he was playing happy family with his ex-lover? He even gave her money but told her not to mention it to Qin Zhi.
Anyway, Qin Zhi went to see Yao Yao to tell her of her plan for a win-win for both of them. She then warned Yao Yao to keep away from Yang Hua because the sod is hers now. Whatever!!!
Anyway, MeiMei was finally pregnant but then her happiness did not last long because she found her husband in bed with another woman.
Qin Zhi said that probably it was a set up because her brother is deadly drunk.
Meimei said that Weyuan had done this thing too many times but she can’t take it anymore. Meimei packed her things and left.
Episode 39 – 40
Qin Zhi did not have a choice but to leave C&H because she would not do what they ordered her to do.
Yang Hua trusted Yaoyao’s judgment too much which caused Qin Zhi to end up as a pathetic woman.
She was emotionally tortured by Yang Hua for more than seven months making her think that she was just shit to him.
Finally, he came back and he had just to open his arms and she came running back to him. It does not make sense as she is supposed to be a mature independent woman who has been around.
It is the most unromantic drama for a supposed romance drama.
He hurt her too much just to prove a point and despite knowing that she loves him, he left her on tenterhooks until he is ready, on his own terms.
Despite this treatment, Qin Zhi could not get enough of her toyboy! But having said that there was no chemistry between the gorgeous Yang Mi and Xukai.
Probably, it has something to do with Xukai’s Yang Hua’s almost one-dimensional character and he seemed to disappear in some of the episodes.
Yang Mi had more chemistry with Li Ze Feng who played Tao Junhai.
If Qin Zhi had ended up with Tao Junhai, I think I would have been happier.
Qin Zhi was invited back to return to C&H as a senior partner but she declined because she realised she wanted to work alone. Jin & Hui are ok with it and even cooperated in the case of Mrs. Lan.
Poor Tan Junhui is back with his fishwife of a girlfriend, Wu Fei.
Li Dai is still Li Dai
Yaoyao went back to Australia with her son for good.
Meimei and Wuyuan reconciled as Wuyuan is a reformed character.
As to Yang Hua, jobwise, he is the CEO of his own business which is funded by Huping.
