Love at first sight with this drama. I really love family dramas especially the generational one.
This is the story of the three generations of the Zhuang family who lives in the beautiful Shi Cha Hai near Beijing.
It was around Christmas when the Family Zhuang were with friends.
Xiao Xiao was intently looking at a young musician while she was with her two friends. Suddenly a man came to their table and causing a bit of ruckus.
Xiao Xiao picked a bottle to defend themselves but the young musician, Xiang Dong got there first and thrashed his guitar on the unruly man.
Xiao Xiao fell a little more in love with him but he was playing it cool.
Xiao Xiao parents had divorced or rather her father divorced her mother six years ago. After all these years her handsome father was finally ready to move on and actually preparing to go to a reality tv to find a partner. The contestants had to match up with someone wearing a facemask, they can ask questions and then they had to choose whether to continue on not.
Anyway, the whole family watched the show and was rooting for Zhuang Zhicun when they saw the woman in mask seemed to be the ideal woman for Zhicun. Even Zhicun thought so too.
But when the woman removed her masked, everyone was flabbergasted because it was the smiling ex-wife of Zhicun.
Everyone in the family wanted them to get back together because the divorce was senseless.
Apparently Zhicun did not take to kindly to Hui Xin to go dancing.
So he divorced her and he was even more upset that after only a year of divorce she got hitched with a very rich man.
Now that she was widowed she wanted her old family back.
Feng works for Zui Ba Xian restaurant. She was asked by her boss if she and her family wanted to rent the restaurant from him.
Feng was excited about it and told the family who went to investigate and found that it looks viable as many customers were prepared to queue up at lunchtime waiting to get a table and be served.
Everyone was enthusiastic about the restaurant except for Jin Yan who thinks that her husband was too old to be cooking and being busy in the restaurant. But the Patriach said that he had always wanted to run a restaurant and would like to do it before he meets his ancestors.
Another thing was that he wanted Zhibin to start being a cook. He had always dreamed that Zhibin will become a chef. After all, they paid tuition
The cost of the rent was 800,000RBM and each of the family groups of the Zhuangs had to contribute at least 100,000.
Even Hui Xin offered 100,000 and was gladly accepted by the patriarch much to the consternation of Zhicun.
They started running the restaurant and it was busy.
Zhibin is the maitre ‘d.
Though he did not want to cook, he was overbearing. He went to the kitchen and was telling the chef how to cook. This created disharmony in the kitchen.
