St Alphonsus
Alphonsus Maria de’ Liguori was from a Neopolitan nobility. He had a promising law career before he entered the priesthood.
(27 September 1696 – 1 August 1787), was an Italian Catholic bishop, spiritual writer, scholastic philosopher andtheologian.
