All around the UK, street parties were held to celebrate the Queen’s Patinium Jubilee. The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate 70 years of service.
This anniversary created a especially long bank holiday weekend from 2 June – 5 June 2022 which became a day of chilling and celebration.
Many houses participated in the celebration, putting up flags and buntings.
A joyous street party then was held where neighbours who are strangers to each other gathered together bringing in food and drink to grace makeshift tables to share with each other.
There were singing, dancing, and even games.
Our street party was a joy.
