Episode 1

Shen Yu was the only survivor when her family was massacred by the order of the emperor.  Shen Yu would do anything for money including entering into a marriage.

She was chosen by the Zhou because Shen Yu was alone in the world.

She married Zhou Yue immediately but their wedding had not been consummated because Zhou Yue was apparently poorly.

Unbeknownst to Shen Yu, she actually married a woman.

Zhou Yue was brought up as a boy for inheritance reasons.  Her mother could not have any more children after her so as such, she became the male heir.

Shen Yu was a perky little girl and had attracted the attention of Qi Zhang.  He was always wherever she goes.
