I binge-watched this drama yesterday on Netflix.

I have to admit, though I did enjoy it, I thought it was not Shin Hye Sun better dramas.

The story has a lot of potential but the script was rather on the twee side which made the actors over act in a very sentimental way.

The story is about Woo Seo Ri who had such a tragic life.  Her parents got killed in an accident.  She was then taken care of by her biological uncle and his wife.  They treated her as their own.  They lived at Seo-ri’s house she inherited from her father.

Seo Ri was a happy carefree little girl with many friends.  Her best friend is No Sumi. When she was seventeen she was offered to study in Germany as she was a bit of a violin protege.

There was a boy who often saw her.  He was Gong Woo JIn.  He thought she was No Sumi when he spotted her wearing a school jumper with No Sumi’s name on it.   He was a young artist, good at drawing.  He drew her from memory and was going to give Woo Seo Ri his painting but he lost confidence at the last moment.  But he did finally spoke to her and told her to better get off at the next stop as it has a shorter walking distance from the music studio she was going to.

The bus did not arrive at the next stop because it crashed after a drunk driver on a truck careered on the road.

There were fatalities. No Su Mi died while Woo Seo Ri was comatose.

Woo Jin felt guilty.  He was adamant that he killed Woo Seo Ri, who he still thought was No Su Mi, by telling her to get off at the next stop. If only…if only..

Anyway, Woo Seo Ri had been comatose for 13 years.  She was 17 but is now 30.  Her aunt and uncle stopped visiting her or paying for her hospitalisation a long time ago.

The person who ended up paying anonymously for her upkeep in the hospital was the guilty drunk driver.  Kim Hyeong-Tare, her friend in high school who had a crush on her became a doctor so he could look after her at the hospital.

Anyway, she finally woke up.  When she saw her face in the mirror, she was so shocked. She thought she was still 17.  But more shock comes her way when she found out that her best friend Sumi was dead.

Feeling lost and alone with not one familiar face in sight.  After physio, when she can move around more, she secretly left the hospital to look for her beloved uncle and auntie.

She was shocked how 13 years made so much difference to the locality but more shocking was when she finally arrived at her house, though she was mistakenly welcome by a mysterious housekeeper,  she found out later that the house was no longer where her relatives live but sold to another family who happened to be Gong Woo Jin’s who did not recognise her.

She made friends with Gong Woo Jin’s nephew, Yoo Chan.  Yoo Chan developed a crush on her.

It was in episode 13 that Gong Woo Jin found out that Woo Seo Ri was the girl he thought was Sumi.

It turned out that her uncle was devoted to her.  His business was going bankrupt so to make sure that Seo Ri’s house was preserved, he transferred the house under her wife’s name and then divorce her.  Her uncle worked day and night to make sure the bankruptcy was halted but he collapsed in died from cirrhosis.  Though her aunt sold the house later on, she felt so guilty about it that the money stayed in the bank and ultimately passed it on to Seo Ri, who was upset that her uncle did not sell the house immediately so he would not been so stressed about going bankrupt.

Anyway, Yoo Chan was upset when he found out that his uncle was into Seo Ri as well.  He tried to make himself look more mature but everyone thinks that Seo Ri is either his older sister or his aunt.

In the end, he wished Seo Ri and his uncle well. Seo Ri confessed to Woo Jin that she did not know his name in high school but she certainly noticed him.  In fact, she had a crush on him which she told Sumi.  They nicknamed him Crescendo.  She told him that any lingering guilty about what happened all those years ago should be forgotten.

Seo Ri also started on her ascend to musicality. After dating and living together for two years, Seo Ri and Woo Jin got married.
