Episode 1

This drama is so weird and creepy but rather wonderful.  Only the Japanese could think of this kind of original story. 🤣🤗😍

Anyway, the story started with Keisuke and Takae with their ten-year-old daughter Mai going for a picnic in their allotment where they harvested their vegetables and herbs.

Takae has such a fun and happy personality that Keisuke told her that she is like the main dish and he was just the garnish that you can leave out and it would not make much of a difference.  He loved her so much, he said he won’t be able to do without her.

She said she does not want words like that because they had to be well and healthy for their beloved daughter. Mai.

On their way home, they crashed into a runaway truck that killed Takae.

The next ten years had been hard for both Keisuke and Mai.  They both can’t get over the death of Takae and because of this, they both became depressed and almost lifeless.

Keisuke often says that he was just waiting to die.

But then one day out of nowhere, a ten-year-old girl appeared.  She said she was Takae.  The reincarnation of Takae.  She said that on her tenth birthday, she suddenly realised who she was.  She began to miss both Keisuke and Mai and so this jolly little girl started appearing at the Niijima household, often doing the chores like the mother of the house.

Keisuke was very confused at first but he began to see Takae in the girl.  Mai was askance.  His father indulged a little girl as if she was her mother.  It was bonkers and so wrong.

But then she also started to remember her mother from the action of the little girl.

So it became creepy.  Especially towards the end of the episode when Keisuke told the ten-year-old girl that he would marry her when she turns 18.

Little Takae was like.. he huh I am only an elementary school student.
