The trailer for this film looks so thrilling.

Apparently, Vanguard is a covert organisation headed by Tang Huating which may be the last hope for an accountant who was targeted by world deadliest mercenary.

The movie started in the UK, in Trafalgar Square in fact, in front of the National Gallery where Chinese New Year was being celebrated.  A couple of hoods were seen spying on a Chinese accountant who was promenading around Chinatown with his new wife.

The Accountant was talking to his daughter on the phone, asking her where she was.  She said she was in Africa. She then rung off when the new stepmother tried to speak with her.

Meanwhile, Lei was meeting Kai Xuan in Chinatown.  Lei was loaded with gifts for the family and for his cute godson.

They were not even finished with the pleasantries with the family when both their phone rang. They were informed that a Chinese accountant with his wife had been abducted and was being kept near where Lei and Zhang Kai Xuan were.

And this started a pretty exciting journey from London to Africa and ended up in Dubai.

Though it is very watchable, you must suspend your disbelief while watching this film.  The London scene where a couple was abducted, and then the continuous sound of gunfire did not solicit any response from the London police was remarkable. SO15 would have been there immediately.

Anyway, Lei and Kai Xuan managed to rescue the accountant and his wife but the terrorists now found out about the accountant’s daughter was in Africa.

It became a race against time to get to the daughter.

Lei was rather impressed with the daughter because despite being rich, she was out there in Africa on her own and fighting against poachers and hunter to protect her beloved animal.

Vanquard quizzed the accountant why he was being targeted by the Snow Wolves merchenaries.

The accountant said that he unknowingly went into partnership with a terrorist who wanted to buy a weapon of mass destruction.

The accountant was threatened but in the end, he reported his partner to the UK Authority. His partner was killed but now the accountant was targeted by the son of his partner because he was the only one who knew where the 200M money was.

The movie is fast-paced.  Lots of action, the cast are watchable.  Yang Yang is agile and absolutely gorgeous,  Xu Ruo Han is stunning.  I love her in Perfect and Casual, this is part of the reason I wanted to watch this film.

Miya Muqi is beautifully sexy. Lu Ai’s bromance with Yang Yang is adorable.

Zhu Zheng Ting is fit.  He makes a lovely Condor, a cousin of the Silver Surfer.  Lovely CGI.

And Jackie Chan still got it.

I can recommend this film for a lazy afternoon watch.

BTW, I want an amphibian car. 🙂
