Plot Summary
Wen Qiao and Jiang Ze Nan were married until they both were reborn.
On their second life, Wen Qiao was shocked when she woke up and found out that Ze Nan was currently marrying another woman, his crush, Song Man Rou.
Wen Qiao went to the wedding to confront Ze Nan who told her to go away as he was determined to marry the love of his life and not to someone as controlling as her. He tried to give her some money but she returned it to him.
On her way back home, she almost fainted but a man was there to hold her up.
The man was Zhou Yan Shen, the new County Secretary. What Wen Qiao did not realise was that Yan Shen remembered her from when he was down and out and she gave him some pancake and money to tied him over. He always remembered her kindness, gentleness and beauty.
Knowing that Wen Qiao had been jilted by Jiang Ze Nan, other men tried to marry forcefully but Yan Shen solved the problem by announcing that he was marrying her himself.
He then made a contract marriage with Wen ‘Qiao to marry him for a year which would solved both their problems as he was being forced by his family to get married.
Wen Qiao and Yan Shen got the marriage certificate and they started a gentle but supportive platonic marriage.
Meanwhile, Jiang Ze Nan, started to regret marrying Manrou who was spoilt and does not have any ambition at all to support him with his work. She is conniving and selfish. She also has a family which was a nuisance. He was beginning to miss Wen Qiao and her caring and able demeanour.
Zenan died accidentally from a fall while Wen Qiao’s marriage to Yan Shen got better and better and she ended up pregnant. She also found out that Yan Shen was from a rich family.
