Episode 1
Cang Xuan seemed to have relocated to the Central Plain with his Ministers. The ministers think that Cang Xuan was weak, lacking the killer instinct of the old emperor. Some ministers were plottig of taking him down.
But then he used the carrot and stick strategy and every minister was won over, for now.
Meanwhile, Xiao Yao wa with Xiang Lu/Fangfeng Bei were back at Rejuvenation Hall when Tushan Jing turned up with his friend. Tushan Jing looked at Xiao Yao longingly but said nothing.
The old sommelier started singing drunkenly when he heardd that Xiao Yao is the Princess of Haoling. They had to usher him out as his singing was too distracting.
Anyway, when Xiao Yao and Fangfeng Bei were alone, Xiao Yao asked him who could she marry. She looked at him meaningfully but they both know that a marriage between them was going to be a nuclear bomb for everyone. So true love is out of the question and Fangfeng Bei knows it as he walked away sadly.
Later on Fangfeng Bei went to see the very depressed old sommelier. The old man advised him to not see the Princess o Haoling ever again. He advised for Fangfeng Bei to go to Baili and have the poison bug removed from inside of him before it is too late. Fangfeng Bei got curious and asked what the old was saying. The man said that like General Chi Chen who had the poison bug ended up fighting to the death the woman he loved. Fangfeng Bei was in denial, he said that he was safe as he was not the man the Princess loves.
In the palace, Xiyan found Xiao Yao looking very down. She told him that she long for the past when everything was simpler. She felt sorrowful of being abandoned once again. But she did tell that all wounds would heal in time.
Unfortunately, Xiyan felt the guilt of not making Tushan jing stay with Xiao Yao. He realised that he hated Tushan Jing but then admitted that he hated himself more. So poor Xiyan and Xiao Yao are both depressed.

Whoa! The episode is very dramatic.
Even without Tushan Jing, Xiao Yao insisted on marrying him despite being forbidden by Cang Xuan. On her bedded knees, Xiao Yao kowtow to Cang Xuan. In the end he had no choice so Xiao Yao proceeded with the ceremony as the moon as proxy to Tushan Jing.
Cang Xuan told Xiao Yao that Tushan Jing is dead. Xiao Yao asked Cang Xuan if he had something to do with it. She asked him earnestly reminding him of their close bond so no lie.
Cang Xuan admitted that he had something to do with it. Xiao Yao was absolutely heartbroken. This really undone her. She screamed to Cang Xuan that she had always help him in everything and often did as she was told. She was absolutely devoted as a sister to him. So why would he kill Tushan Jing, the man she loved the most.
Cang Xuan said that Tushan Jing is not worthy of her. This was like a red rag to a bull so Xiao Yao grabbed a dagger and went towards Cang Xuan.

Episode 1
I like the first episode. It is very atmospheric. It started with a lovely tight friendship among six friends.
Huang Yuan Zi, Jiang Yi, Fang Ming Yu, Zhuang Yuan, Lan Yi Fei, and Guan Chao were friends since they were very young. Huang Yuan Zi was usually the leader of them all and they would never had it any other way.
The drama started during around the 2008 Beijing Olympics time where Huang Yuan Zi wrote a play about a dystopian era where a rice cooker would always save the day.
Though the friends were so tight knit, they have different aspirations.
Guan Chao was the hyper one and did well in the 100 metre so he is practising for the Olympics.
Lan Yi Fei who is Guan Chao’s crush wanted to be a ballet dancer.
Zhuang Yuan is the techy one so he sure to do well in university.
Fang Ming Yu was very methodical and knows what she wanted.
And so did Jiang Yi, he was sure that he wanted to be not doing or engaging into anything.
As for Huang Ying Zi, she wanted to write…
A few years later….
The long friendship seemed to have undergone a drastic change because they hardly talked anymore. Probably because real life happened.
Huang Ying Zi was not happy at her job as a news reporter. She got a good news but was told to bin it as the person involved was influential.
She met up with Yi Fei briefly at the airport. Yi Fei had become a successful ballet dancer. Anyway they talked about Guan Chao’s wedding. YingZi wanted to know where Yifei minded but Yifei said she was really happy for Guan Chao.
Yifei then said that they should all attend the wedding and who better to organise the reunion among old friends that Ying Zi.
Ying Zi was purturbed because she hardly spoken to the others of late.
She tried to contact the friends but they have now their own lives.
Fang Ming Yu had no time to speak so Ying Zi went to her company where she saw first hand how stressed Ming Yu was.
Ming Yu had to play the bad guy as she had to lay off many employees. The employees took the bad news against her personally and abused Ming Yu. Having seen first hand what was happening Ying Zi decided to leave but left a Mcdonal choco pie for Ming Yu. The choco pie used to have a happy memory of their friendship.
Ying Zi saw Zhuang Yuan who was doing his Phd.
The last one she saw was Jiang Yi who seemed not to want to see her but Ying Zi was determined.
The first episode laid an intriguing plot and I want to know more what happened to the friends who used to be as thick as thieves?!!!
Episode 2
Ying Zi had not seen Jiang Yi for the last twelve years since he left for the UK with his parents after high school.
Their old camaraderie was no longer there, instead their friendship was stilted. Ying Zi assumed that he came back for Guan Chao’s wedding.
Anyway, Ying Zi who is still bossy dragged Jiang Yi to Ming Yu’s apartment where she was having dinner with her boss/boyfriend.
The boss left Ming Yu to speak to her old friends. Mingyu said she could not go to the wedding.
Meanwhile, Guan Chao was the only one of the friends who stayed in their town and would often go see Grandma. Guan Chao told Grandma that he really wanted to see his friends to come in his wedding.
Grandma assured him that they will be there.

Mai Cheng Huan lived with a very controlling mother. She got a chance to escape when helped by a step-grandmother who tasked her to manage a hotel.

Episode 1
It is a watchable drama but nothing special… yet. Yang Zi is so cute though.
Anyway, Mai Cheng Yuan works in a hotel. She is almost 30 but still treated like a little girl by her very controlling mother.
When her mother found out that she was dating, she bullied Chengyuan to find out if her boyfriend Xin Jia Ling is after marriage. She told her daughter not to indulge in premarital sex but at the same time, Mai Chengyuan is getting old and must start thinking about having children.
To keep her mother quiet and happy, she promised to sound out Jia Liang about marriage. She has been going out with Jia Ling for three years.
Her mother kept on at her, calling her at work all the time and barges to her bedroom at night to pressure her about the marriage.
Poor Chengyuan did not really need the hustle from her mother at the moment as there are a lot going on at work. There is a new guy at work; her new boss, Yao Zhi Ming who fired her almost immediately. It took her a lot of effort and persuasion to make him rescind his decision.
He told her to go to a bidding meeting on his behalf the next morning where she found out that her boyfriend Xin Jia Liang is the heir to Deshan Furnishing. She never knew that Jia Ling was from an affluent family.
Episode 2
Chengyuan was of course shocked. She did not expect that her boyfriend who she regularly lend money too was mega rich.
So when she got home and her mother who was expecting Jia Ling to come for dinner did not turn up, told Chengyuan to break up with JiaLiang.
But then she immediately changed her tune when she found out that Jia Liang was from a very rich family. Jia Liang suddenly turned to the best thing since sliced bread as far as her mother is concerned.
Episode 3
Xin Jia Liang told Liu Wanyu, Chengyuan’s mother that he wishes to come to dinner.
Liu Wangyu excitedly cleaned and cooked to impress Jia Liang who did not show up in time because he was dragged to a blinddate arranged by his parents.
It so happened that Chen Shu Zhen who knows both Xin Jia Liang and Chengyuan dearly was in the same restaurant where the blind date was happening.
Jia Liang quickly explained that it was a fake blind date. Chen Shu Zhen, however, called Chengyuan to inform her of seeing Jia Liang on a blinddate.
Of course Jia Liang got upset.
Episode 4
Mai Chengyuan was chosen to lead the project for the 520 Chinese Valentine’s Day gala where the theme focused on parental love.
It started well and her parents were given tickets to attend.
But then Jia Liang turned up in a cumbersome knight armour suit and then proceeded to propose to a very embarrassed Chengyuan.
Chengyuan was not impressed. But her mother pressured her into accepting the proposal.
Episode 5
Chengyuan’s mother wanted to know when the wedding was and when are they going to meet JIa Liang’s family.
Jia Liang informed his family that he had proposed to Chengyuan. His sister, Jia Li was very dismissive of Chengyuan but their mother said that Jia Liang seemed very happy and that was all that mattered to her.
Meeting the family was arranged. Jia Li said to pick the most exclusive and most expensive restaurant to show Chengyuan’s family that they belong to the upper crust.
Episode 6
The family dinner happened and it was the most patronising and humiliating the Mai family was put through.
Jia Liang tried his best to intervene but he was really not forceful enough while Jia Li run riot with her insult to the family.
Chengyuan could not take it anymore so she ask her family to leave with her. She then told Jia Liang that they should take a break for a while to calm down.
Chengyuan told her mother that she does not want to marry into Jia Laing’s family but her mother wanted a rich in-laws so she told Chengyuan not to be silly and marry the nice Jia Liang.
