The Skull of Doom
The Skull of Doom or Skull of Death is a pure rock crystal that is said to be 3600 years old.
The Mayans used it in their ritualistic sacrifices.
There are at least 3 “mythical” skulls.
One can be viewed at the British Museum, the second and also known to be the largest is in Paris, whilst the third one is at the Smithsonian.
I’ve seen the one at the British Museum.
I recently saw a documentary regarding authenticity of this crystal skull. Apparently it was as old as it was first claimed. The skull was not even a Mayan but that of a Caucasian woman. F A Mitchell-Hedges allegedly did not find the skull in a dig but in fact bought it at Christie’s
