Episode 1

Xiao Long Lan is a rare herb who was about to turn into a fairy but before she does, she was plucked by the herbal master, Chu Zi Mo.

She was then chopped and then boiled.  Her roots were especially boiled to make a medicine for Jiang Qing Yun, a much-adored daughter of Lord Jiang Bu Yan, a very respected medicine doctor as well.

The herbal medicine woke a very confused Xiao Long Lan in the body of Jiang Qing Yun.  This meant that she did not recognise anyone as she rightly does not know them.

Her father was so upset about what had happened to her but he was patient.

She was visited by a handsome man who said his name was Zi MIng and that they were childhood sweetheart and now engaged.

When he left an even more handsome man came to see her.  He was Chu Zi Mo the herbal lord.

Chu Zi Mo was intrigued about her because she said that he was toxic.

Xiao Long Lan was transported to another dimension where she saw her doppelganger, the real Jiang Qingyun.  Who made a deal with her to try to make Chu Zi Mo to marry her and will allow Longlan to inhabit her body.

Episode 2

Though this drama is fluffier than anything, it does have its own charm, mainly because the leads are likable and the second male lead as well.

In episode 2, Long Lan as Jiang Qingyun became a victim of human traffickers.  She was saved by Zi Ming.

Though Zi MIng is very devoted to her and rather personable as well, Longlan has only eyes for ChuZiMo as per her pact with Jiang Qingyun to get him to marry her.

Episode 3

Qingyun was a special guest of the Xiao who were celebrating the back to good health of Zi MIng.  At the party, Ziming’s sister, Xiao Ya, told Qingyun that she could be pretty but she was just too short and ChuZiMo would not like her.

With the mentality of a plant, Long Lan asked her maid, Lu Meng, to help her dig a hole.  She then lied on the hole as asked Lu Meng to cover her with the soil.  It then started raining but Long Lan order Lu Meng not to cover her because rainwater is good for growth.

Lu Meng got scared when Longlan/Qingyun looked really ill.

Qingyun’s father was so annoyed with Lu Meng and ordered her to kneel down by the bedside of Qingyun and not to move until his daughter had regained consciousness.

Qingyun eventually did and apologised to Lu Meng for making her an accomplish to her harebrained ideas.

She was sitting under a cherry blossom when Zi MIng came to visit her and gave her a box containing ginseng root.  Qingyun said that it was not a very good specimen.  Zi Ming said that he had been had.  He said that he was assured the root was 300 years old.  He promised to be back with the real thing.

But a box was suddenly thrown in front of them. It was by the Herbal Lord, who was showing jealousy of Qingyun friendship towards Zi MIng.

Zi Ming told the Herbal Lord that Qingyun is engaged to him but the Herbal Lord said that Qingyun was very vocal of his partiality towards the Herbal Lord.

And to prove this, Qingyung ran to ChuZimo and wrapped herself to him.

When Zi Ming had gone, Chu ZiMo tried to tell Qingyung to let go of him but she was comfortable nestled to him.

Chu Zi Mo pushed her rather hard.  She ended up dead on the ground.

At first, Chu Zi Mo thought that she was playing around again but he carried her inside and used his energy force to resuscitate her.

He was not sure if it worked as Lu Meng turned up and he had to hide.

He went to Yi Ran, who is a student of Lord Jiang, to ask him to check on the dead Qingyun.

Yiran was concerned that Chu Zi Mo had hurt himself badly as his energy is barely sustaining him.

Yi Ran thinking that Qingyun was really dead wore funeral clothes and went to Lord Jiang to condole him on the death of Qingyun.

He almost got beaten up with Lord Jiang for his bad joke because Qingyun came bounding by, happy as a daisy.

Episode 4

Zi Ming helped Qingyun to enter the heavily guarded Chu Manor.

Qingyun went to look for Chu Zi Mo, who got frightened thinking she was a ghost who has not realised that she was dead.

It took a while to convince him that she was alive.

Episode 5

Chu Zi Mo gifted his nephew, the City Governor, writing materials which unfortunately was used by Lord Xiao to poison the City Governor and framed Chu Zi Mo.

Chu Zi Mo said that the City Governor could be cured with more poisons which shocked Lord Jiang, the doctor of the City Governor.

As the City Governor was too ill, Chu Zi Mo was arrested and put to prison.

Qingyun heard about this but she doesn’t know how to get to the City Governor Resident.

Thank goodness, her fairy friends were visiting.  Baby Ginseng said that he knew the ins and outs of the City Governor Resident as he had been there several times.

So fairy Saffron, Gingko and Lotus went with them.

They found the City Governor in his room.  Fairy Saffron said that he is dying.  He had only two weeks to leave.  He had been poisoned by Roving Needle Centipede.

Baby Ginseng said that Roving Needle Centipede is highly poisonous to human but like ambrosia to fairies.

So the fairies started to fight who would cure the City Governor.

In the end Baby Ginseng prevailed and before you know it the City Governor was alive and well.

City Governor saw Qingyun sitting by his bed and told him that he could have been cured immediately if they used blah blah blah on him.  He realised that the prescription she mentioned was exactly the same as what his uncle told Lord Jiang to make to cure him but instead Chuzimo was thrown to prison.

The City Governor started telling Qinyun that she reminds him of her mother.

Qingyun immediately stopped him and said that she was not going to marry him because Chuzimo was it for her.  She asked him where Chuzimo was being kept.

He was not finished with the direction but Qingyun was already out of the door and into Chuzimo’s prison cell,which is actually lovely.

He was surrounded by the fairies who were again fighting for the chance to suck the herbal element off the dying Chuzimo.

Qingyun was so annoyed with the fairies and told them to go.

She tried to wake Chuzimo but he was indeed dying.

The only thing that could cure him was if she gives him her energy which she did.

Chuzimo woke up well, never been better.  Well enough to go home after he visited the City Governor, who said that he did not believe his Uncle was going to kill him.  He said that there were plenty of chances of other people to poison the writing set.

Chuzimo said that the prisoner will suffer from the after-effect of the Roving Needle Centipede.

Lord Xiao got so nervous, he went roung to Xingshui Monastery where the High Priest was.

The High Priest was so annoyed that their plan was thwarted.

Meanwhile when Chuzimo got home he was told that Qingyun was waiting for him in his quarters.  He found her asleep on his bed.

He tried to wake her up but he did notice how weak she looked.

She told him that the only way she could be well was to get herbs and she kissed him.

Episode 6

This drama is so cute.

After sharing torrid kisses which gave Chuzhimo wet dreams, he woke up alone in bed.  He went outside the Well Endowed Place with Talent (what a name?!!!) LOL and saw Qingyun catching butterflies.

He couldn’t take his eyes off her, which puzzled Qingyun.

They were going on a hunt with the Xiaos, City Governor, Jiangs and Chuzhimo.

Xiao Ya was so jealous of Qingyun because it was obvious that she was favoured by Chizimo.

When she saw Qingyun alone gathering herb, she took position and shoot an arrow to Qingyun.

Fortunately, Chuzimo saw it at deflected the arrow.

It was proven that Xiao Ya was bent on committing the murder and was punished with 50 lashes.

But Ziming turned up and said that he will take the punishment for his sister.

Qingyun was annoyed but also very concerned that Zi MIng was not well enough to take more punishment.

She begged Chuzimo to intervene but he was really annoyed that Qingyun was very concerned and attentive about Zi MIng.

He told her that she was very pickle.  She left his bed without saying anything and now moved on to another man.

Qingyun did not understand what he was talking about. She said she wanted to apologise to Chizimo but she did not understand what he was talking about.  She was telling this to her maid which was overheard by the City Governor.

He said that there is only one thing to do.

He taught her to seduce Chuzimo.  So cute the scene where she was seducing Chuzimo.

Episode 9

Qingyun was stabbed almost fatally.  To cure her, she was brought to the High Priest.

The High Priest was good at magic and was able to bring Qingyun back to life with a fistful of energy.

Chuzimo took Qingyun away.  Qingyun lost her pouch which was found by the High Priest.

Episode 10

Qingyun was warned by the High Priest that she would do Chuzimo harm if she continues to stay with him and uses up his herbal essence.  Obviously they have not heard of Clairol, lol.

So when Chuzimo tried to pull her out from the grasp of Ziming, Qingyun chose to stay with Ziming.

Episode 11

Chuzimo asked Qingyun if she was the real Qingyun. She confessed that she was not.  She is an herbal immortal.

Chuzimo told her that he will accept her whether she is human or a monster.

Qingyun insisted that she is not a monster but an immortal but she remembered what the High Priest had said that the more she stays with Chuzimo the shorter his life will be.

So she told Chuzimo that she can’t be with him.

He told her that he would not live past 30 but he would like to be with her until then.

Meanwhile, the High Priest was working to vanish both Chuzimo and Qingyun so she planted the pouch among the dead people found in a cave and had Qingyun tried for the crime of murder.

Episode 12

Chuzimo applied to the City Governor to be in charge of the investigation regarding Qingyun being a siren who lured the men to their death.  He said that he will give the result of his findings within three days.

The Gingko fairy sought Qingyun’s help for their Grandpa Tree fairy who was dying.  The only thing that could help him was blood from the heart of Chuzimo.

Gingko told Qingyun that a few drops fo the blood would not kill the herbal lord, it would just make him weak and would recover within days with enough rest.

Qingyun armed with a dagger went to Chuzimo.  She found him asleep as was about to plunge the dagger to his chest when he woke up.

He was really sad to know that the High Priest may be right that Qingyun doesn’t feel anything for him at all.

So he took Qingyun’s hand and helped her pushed the dagger into his heart.

Qingyun cried when she saw that he was going to die.

Their backstories were told.

Chuzimo was an immortal called Yunshuang or something.  He had cultivated an herb which he found so cute, it looks like a yellow daffodil but it is an indigowoad herb.

Yunshuang was tasked by the god to go to the human realm to save them from the havoc being created by the god of plague.

He had a battle with the god of the plague but she was too good and would have killed him if the botanical fairy did not show up and used all her energy to fight the god of plague, thereby protecting Yunshuang.

The fairy did not die but she lost her capacity to love.  lol

Anyway, Qingyun found out that the gingko fairy was being impersonated by a minion of the High Priest so she realised she killed Chuzimo for nothing.

Chuzhimo went to the immortal realm and remembered everything that the woad plant was the one he nurtured as a seedling for a thousand years.

The High Priest was vent on finishing both Chuzimo and Qingyun and she almost succeeded.

Episode 13

Chuzimo and Qingyun were recuperating at Lord Herbal Valley where they were looked after by Grandfather Tree.

Grandfather Tree had assured Yunshuang that the poison in his body had been cured but he is no longer Yunshuang.  He is now fully mortal as Chuzhimo.

Chuzhimo was told that Woad Fairy was in the valley as well.  She was the shy little daisy that Yunshuang had tended all these years.

Because the mortal Chuzhimo picked the woad herb Lord Herbal Valley and had it boiled and given to the comatose Qingyun, the woad inhabited the mortal body of Qingyun and became Qingyun.

Anyway, Chuzhimo said that he will not live past the age of 30 but in the meantime, he will stay with Woad until that time.  If she wanted to go back ot the mortal realm, he will go with her and if she wanted to stay in the botanical realm then he will happily stay with her here.

Grandfather Tree reminded Chuzhimo that Woad had lost her love essence.

But when Chuzhimo saw Woad, she easily declared that she doesn’t know whether it was love but she thinks it is.  She worries for him and can’t bear it when he gets hurt. Awww

Chuzhimo was happy.

Episode 14

Woad was quite happy to stay at the Lord Herbal Valley but she saw her father looking for her even at night.  He was so sad and lonely.

She decided then that she must return to Daxing County and Chuzhimo said wherever she goes, he will go with her.

They also found out that the bones of the men found on the care had the mark of the South Star, meaning they had been cultivating the very poisonous herb. Anyone who cultivates it will die soon after and their body would immediately turn into skeletons.

Episode 15

Qingyun marched into Daxing City telling everyone that she is not a monster and she can prove it.  She put powerful anti–monster spells on herself and the people could see that they had no effect on her.

She even hopped between circles of dog and chicken blood which apparently scare monsters.  The people started to believe her after all she is the daughter of Lord Jiang who had helped many people so how can he beget a monster?

All the same Lord Xiao frogmarched her to the City Governor.

Chuzhimo was ready with is evidence that the death of the men in the cave were all due to Lord Xiao himself by making them till the highly poisonous South Star.  Relatives of the men came to testify.

As a punishment Lord Xiao was retired from the merchandising. LOL

Meanwhile, Ya heard her father talking with her brother, Zi Ming.  He said that after this case the Herbal Lord and Qingyun could only get closer.

Ya went to see the High Priest who told her that Qngyun is really a monster and she had a plan for her.

Episode 16

Ziming finally agreed to break off his engagement to Qingyun.  He said that all he wanted was to see her happy even if it was with Chuzhimo.

Meanwhile the real Qingyun asked Woad to hurry up getting married to Chuzimo.

Chuzimo was delaying the wedding because he was concerned that he will die soon.

Episode 17

Chuzimo decided not to marry Qingyun as he suddenly realised he hasn’t got much to live.

The Redfire Clan to visit Daxing City. Immediately Prince Yuwen of Redfire was attracted to Qingyun.

During a reception party for the Prince, he presented a red pearl as a token of friendship and continued stability to Redfire and Daxing.

He said the red pearl will find its master which happened to be Qingyun.

Prince Yuwen said that if the red pearl had found a man, then he would have been a lifelong brother to Redfire clan but as it is Qingyun had to marry him.

Chuzimo said that was impossible as Qingyun and him are engaged.

Prince Yuwen said that it was only an engagement so why not have a contest.  The winner takes all.

Meanwhile Ziming took Qingyun to the market to cheer her up.  He bought her a jade bracelet but unknown to Qingyun, he took her old one.

Ziming with Ya went to see the High Priest to consult her.

She said  that the original Qingyun was out of body and the current one occupying Qingyun is an evil one.

Episode 24

It is a happy ending but it has so much fighting and in-figthinng but love prevailed in the end and they got married with Ziming and Ya attending the wedding and giving their blessing to the newly married couple.
