- Apparently there was a last minute hitch. Gorgeous Lin Gengxin bowed out and Peng Guan Ying is now the replacemernt, who is also as tall Kris Wu so back view scenes of Kris Wu do not have to be reshoot.
Loving both, as actors, Lin Gengxin (yeah to Master of My Own, etc) and Chen Zheyuan.
I have been tackling all “Gege”‘s available drama filmography since liking Our Secret, Mr Bad, and getting wowed by Hidden Love, almost morphing into yuanbao of that funny actor, master archer, and singer who is part tone-deaf hhh : he’s got infectious laughs and wicked smiles to make up for his deficiency! So, I’d look forward to watch them both with Yang Zi in this.
But it looks like another problem arose after the Kris Wu scandal (and long jail sentence after his rape-ring scheme was proved) torpedoed that Golden Hairpin to sink down into the murk and be put on the shelf.
Perhaps, like Haoyixing (but that one is not targeted for actors’ scandals, I should hope, only for being BL which is frowned upon, now, in China), this one will remain (forever?) like the Loch Ness monsters that cannot be shown except in bootlegged snippet pictures… 🙁
Lin gengxin is a great and cool prince he is really matching to play the role of Prince Li Shubai, this character is a bit similar with Yuwen yue from princess agents
