Quick Precis:

A remote and rather cold military soldier falls for a kind and gentle medic.

Episode 1

It was a thrilling first episode, a lot of action, the choreography was excellent, but overdone on the number of coincidences.

The leads have chemistry right from the start.

Li Qin is so lovely and Johnny Huang is sexy with rippling muscles.

Anyway, the action started within Isaia Hunter Military School.  It was some sort of graduation day for the chooses few from the best of the best in the world, so they were from communist countries?!!! They have been trained in combat, tactics, and everything military.  Liang Zemu excelled in the training.

Meanwhile, at the Isaia Medical Hospital, Xia Chu was a medical doctor.  The place is beautiful with Mediterranean/Moroccan architecture.

Xia Chu was well known in the village not only for being a doctor but more for her beauty.

She was eating with gusto when a shower of water sprinkled her falafel.

She went to confront the boisterous man.  It was Xia Chu.  It was hate at first sight from both sides.  They were in the middle of their contretemps when they both received calls from their respective mobile phone.

Xia Chu immediately rode her bicycle back to the hospital while Zemu drove in their jeeps.

Xia Chu stopped a trolley of an injured man because she thought there was something iffy about them.

Immediately, the mean escorting and pushing the trolley got their guns out and started firing.  The hospital was in chaos of injured patients, staff, doctors, nurses, and security guards.

Those uninjured were rounded up in a group.

Meanwhile, Zemu realised that they were waylaid and had to go back to the hospital where the terrorists are reigning terror.

Back at the hospital, another doctor would have been killed if Xia Chu did not volunteer to see to an injured terrorist.

She had just finished seeing to the injured man when the soldiers started firing at the terrorists.

Thinking that she would be of help, Xia Chu tried to pick a gun.  She became a target but she was saved by a soldier who covered her with his body.

The last of the terrorists were killed but the poor Chinese soldier was in a bad way and they had to operate on him.

Xia Chu became the attending anesthetist and helped save the soldier.

After the surgery, she went to look for Zemu to apologise to him but he would not accept it. Instead, he blamed her for what she did.

He told her that they were in a battle and the least she could have done was to stay put and not make any move, instead she endangered a soldier.  He also added why she volunteered to cure the injured terrorist?

She told him that it was being a doctor was all about.  You try to cure anyone that is injured according to the Hippocratic Oath and Geneva Convention.

As this point, she asked him to apologise to her instead.

He did not apologise instead he used her white doctor coat to tie her up on the pillar and left her screaming for him to untie her.

A week later, back in Nanjiang, Muze was in a cell.  He was being punished because they the Chinese military received the complaint from Xia Chu of tying her up.

The brigadier commander told MuZe that it was bad to have tied a doctor.  Anyway, he was let out after he had written a retrospective letter.

MuZe was waiting to order in a busy restaurant when the waitress asked if he doesn’t mind sharing his table.  He said he was fine with it.

Then in walked Xia Chu to seat opposite him.  They immediately arguing especially when the last salted egg which they both ordered was given to MuZe.

Xia Chu hoped that was the last time she was going to see him.

She found a cute abandoned kitten and brought it with her to the apartment her mother was able to arranged for her to stay.

She was a little confused when she got there because the front door was not locked and someone was showering.

And then walked, gorgeous muscly Mu Ze straight from the shower.

Xia Chu was annoyed at first but MuZe told her to stop screeching because the apartment was his.

He hen gave her a week to move out.

Episode 2 – 3

Somewhere in Southeast Asia, a mafia-like boss was being berated by a client who had been waiting for an organ, which his men failed to get because of their unsuccessful mission at the Isaia Hospital.

The boss had the man shot along with his bodyguards.

His in-house shooter was Zhuo Ran.

He gave Zhuo Ran another mission.  He had to go back to China to get an innovative medical research by Dr Xia.  The boss added that he may know the doctor as he was the father of a young medic, his friend Xia Chu.

Zhuo Ran can’t say no to the Boss because he has got Zhuo Ran’s mother as captive.

Meanwhile, MuZe asked Xia Chu to go with him to see a child who needed medical treatment.

When they got there, Xia Chu was introduced to young Xiao Jun.

Xiao Jun told Xia Chu that Muze was his father.

Actually Xiao Jun was the son of Muze dead buddy, who was also a soldier.  A short role by Ou Hao.

Anyway, Xia Chu noticed that Xiao Jun lips are rather purple and when she asked the boy if he suffers from shortness of breath, he said no.

Xiao Jun had a cut on his forehead which he got from someone who was trying to bully him.

Xiao Jun ended up in the hospital with cardiac problem as what Xia Chu suspected.

Xia Chu and Muze has a very ambiguous relationship.  Sometimes he was so nice and protective of her and then the next he would asked her when she was going to move out.

Xia Chu’s friend, Mi Gu had some come back from abroad.  She was telling Xia Chu that she met a very handsome man at the airport but she did not get his contact number or even his name.  What Mi Gu did not know yet was that the guy was Zhuo Ran.

Zhuo Ran went looking for Xia Chu in the hospital.  It had been eight years since they saw each other and Xia Chu can still remember how heartbroken she was when he just disappeared one day.

And to turn up now as if nothing had happened was something that Xia Chu could not fathom so she blanked him.

Xia Chu went drinking with Mi Gu.  They did not realised that they were talking about the same guy.  It was only when a couple of men started harassing them and Zhou Ran intervened that MiGu realised that the man of her current dreams was Xia Chu’s Zhou Ran who broke her heart.

Episode 4

Xia Chu went to Zhou Ran to asked him to cart a 3D printing of the heart.  They used it to practise with the surgery for young Liu Xiao Jun.

The operation was successful.

MuZe went to look for Xia Chu after the surgery.  He found her asleep still holding on to the noodles that Zhou Ran had brought her.

She woke up when Mu Ze tried to remove the takeout box of noodles from her hand.

MuZe then surprised her.  Telling her that she doesn’t have to move out but under or condition:  They had to date.

Before she had died of shock, he told her that it would only pretend.  Just to stop nagging him about getting married.

As it was only pretend relationship, she agreed.

Episode 5 – 7

MuZe and Xia Chu were living together as if they were newlyweds.  They fight over tiny things but get on many things as well.

Meanwhile, poor Zhou Ran found out that MuZe was from the Special Forces and that he and Xia Chu are living together.

The new information was too much shock on his system that he fainted .  Mi Gu who was with him took him to the hospital.

Zhang Yi Chi bumped into Mi Gu in the hospital.  He ended up asking her to add him in her Wechat. Romance here!!!

The army was training on the usage of teargas which brought sad and nostalgic memories of Luo Liang to MuZe.

He remembered how he and Luo Liang were friendly competitors in everything but they had different personalities,

Luo Liang was calm and collected while Mu Ze was boisterous.

Their friendship was off a bit when they both went to the same promotion and then Luo Liang got it.

He did realise later that Luo Liang deserved the promotion.

Then they were on a mission.  Apparently every time there was a dangerous mission, soldiers were asked to write their last will or farewell letter.

Everyone did including Mu Ze but not Luo Liang because he said nothing would go wrong and was determined to come home to his pregnant wife.

Later, everyone did come home except Luo Liang.  And every time his birthday happens, Mu Ze is especially depressed.

Xia Chu found out about Zhou Ran being in the hospital.

Zhou Ran told her that he became very sad because he thought she had forgotten him.  He then implored her to not be together with MuZe.

Episode 8

Xiao Jun thought that Xia Chu was stealing Mu Ze from his mother so he started being nasty to Xia Chu.  He did not like her looking after him.

Xia Chu found out the truth from the boy and decided to help Xiao Jun to complete his mission.  Xia Chu encouraged the boy to do whatever he can to throw Mu Ze and his mother together.

But it backfired when Mu Ze found out that Xia Chu had a hand in it.  He told her that she should have known better.

Xia Chu was so upset she crashed into a trolley.

Zhou Ran intruded into Mu Ze’s apartment and planted a bug on the cat’s bow.  He was almost caught by Mu Ze who came back to get books for Xia Chu.

MuZe noticed something was amiss because his bedroom window was open.  He knew he closed it as he has got a cat and he will be away.

Who looks after the cat while they were both away?

Episode 9

Mu Ze asked Xia Chu later on if she left his window open. She said she was not sure but she doen’t think so.

After this, they started flirting nonstop.  He even washed her hair.  He was in her beck and call.

They are so cute.  Li Qin is adorable although overacting but then you do in real life when you are beginning to fall in love.

They clear the misunderstanding regarding Xiao Jun and his mother.

Mu Ze told her that he looks after them until Xiao Jun was old enough to look after his mother.  He was doing this for Luo Liang.  The mother understood it.  He never thought of marrying her.

Xia Chu was flirting non-stop back at him.  So cute.

MuZe and his team were called to assist in the flood.

Xia Chu went back on duty.

MiGu was so in love with Zhou Ran while Dr Zhang was crushing on her.  Now she did not know what to do.

Episode 10

Dr Zhang advised her to forget about Zhou Ran who is in love with Xia Chu.  He told her that an ex of a friend is like a used car driven by a friend. LOL

True though because Zhou Ran kept running to Xia Chu to try and rekindle their puppy love.

Though it was so sweet, Xia Chu was left heartbroken when he just disappeared without notice.

Anyway, she was really into the gorgeous tall and muscular Ze Mu.

She decided to volunteer to go to the flood rescue hoping that she meets Ze Mu.  And she did.  They were so cute their chemistry was such that you wanted them to hug instead of just staring longingly at each other.

Episode 11

Aww the two continue to flirt at each other.

Ze Mu was rather sad that Xia Chu was going back home but she told him that she will wait for him at home.

Zemu was going to take one of the sleeping tablets that Xia Chu prepared for him but it tasted strange.  It started bubbling in water.

Xia Chu was so excited when she learned that Ze Mu was coming home for a few days.

They flirted up a storm which can be heard by Zhou Ran through the bug he put on the cat’s collar.

Zemu saw a recording of MiGu changing the tablets that Xia Chu gave him.  What is going on?

Episode 12

Zemu gave the drug to Dr Zhang for testing.

Xia Chu saw the bottle of the drug she gave Zemu and was upset that he was having it tested when she prepared it carefully for him.

Then she overheard that the drug was strange.

Still she went to Mi Gu to moan how ungrateful Zemu was having the drug tested.

Migu confessed immediately that she changed the tablets.  They were tranquilisers given to her by Zhou Ran who told her to substitute any drugs that Xia Chu got because he knew her history.  She gets stressed and won’t be able to sleep. The tranquilizer will calm her down.

Now, Xia Chu was so upset.  She doesn’t know who to trust anymore.  So she decided to move out of Ze Mu’s apartment but he would not let her because he needs her for her cousin who was coming to stay.  The cousin apparently has adult ADHD.

Xia Chu told him that she was a cardiologist but he said she is still a doctor.

Meanwhile, Dr Zhang called Zemu and told him the result of the drug testing.  It was harmless but not quite.  He said that the drug was manufactured with the help of 3D printing.  The side effect of the drug if taken excessively would be liver cancer.

MiGu was being courted by Zhou Ran again.

Episode 13

This is an exciting episode but ruined by the introduction of the most annoying demented girl.  Why why why would they write in a girl that would ruin an otherwise good drama.

Her screams and winning were enough to turn this drama off.

Please send her back to America or wherever she came from.

Anyway Xia Chu’s father came to town to attend a conference.  I think they were planning his assassination but not too sure because of that stupid bloody noisy girl.
