Episode 1
Ka Yeol Chan was a new graduate and interning at Ongol Foods.
His manager was Lee Man Sik, kkondae, who was an old school type of boss with an 18th-century mentality.
What he said goes and he would not take any form of criticism because he thinks it was entirely his domain to criticise.
He was also a bully when he does not get what he wanted. He was very exacting and was not averse to use violence.
He made Ka Yeol Chan’s life a living hell. In front of the team, he made Ka Yeol Chan apologise for something he did not do and made him repeat after him that he was so sorry for what he did and would work without any pay.
Ka Yeol Chan is actually a good worker with good ideas which Lee Man Sik did not appreciate especially coming from an intern.
His life at the company became so untenable that he had to resign as he was now driven to suicide especially when he was humiliated again and again. Food was thrown at him by Lee Man Sik leaving his shirt and suit dirty, smelly, and stained. What hurts him most was that his mother saw the whole thing as she works at the restaurant.
He was just walking on the bridge when he thought of jumping. Luckily, his phone rang. His mother called telling him to resign because the job was not important, he was the most important.
What his mother said calmed him down. As he looked around, he saw. a billboard about Fiery Chicken.
Five years later, there was an award ceremony for trades.
Joonsu Foods was represented by Ka Yeol Chan, who is now the General Manager.
He is popular with his team because he treats them well and he was generous and fair.
He was also able to widen the scope of their business. He had just managed to get India to partner with their company to market a vegan ramyeon called Chickenless Chicken Noodle Soup.:)
It was a hit especially when he personally played the Korean genie of ramen.
Joonsu Food is a very progressive company and was willing to accept interns from all working-age group.
Ka Yeol Chan met the first two, Lee Tae Ri and Joo Yoon Soo. He was still wondering where the supposed third person was when Lee Man Sik turned up.
They were both surprised especially Ka Yeol Chan as Lee Man Sik did not recognise him at first.
Lee Man Sik had been made redundant due to his age despite giving Ongol Food his life.
