It looks like this is a hospital baby swap.  Apparently, Park Bok Hee who is married to a good for nothing wastrel of a husband was really a second-generation chaebol.

It will be a rug to riches with Shim Yi Young starring again for this weekday drama serial of 120 Episodes.

Episode 1

Park Bok Hee is a very cheerful woman, who is a bit of a Jack (or Jill) of all trades.  She can fix cars, do electrics, brilliant vendor, this is just to start with her many talents.

She is a mother to twins, a girl who is top of the class and a boy who is in the bottom of the class.  She is married to a no-hoper who sees her only as a cash cow.  He was often away from home because he was having an affair.

Another part of the story was a chaebol family.

Kang Sang A works to inherit her father’s company.  But they are having a contention on how the company was to run.

Sang A’s idea was to disconnect themselves to people who are no longer profitable to them.

Ko Choong, the Chairman, found out and was annoyed with his daughter.

Sang A was further thwarted when the head accountant or lawyer was unceremoniously fired and replaced by Si Kyung who just came back to the country.

Si Kyung was not only going to be working in the company, he was also going to be living at their mansion.

Sang A complained about this to her father for not warning her that Si Kyung will be in the company and at home as well.

Her father told her that she did not warn them that she was coming home after she got divorced.

With a lot on her mind, Sang A almost run over a boy with her car.

The boy was Eun So, Bok Hee’s son.

Bok Hee went knocking at SangA’s car window.  She insisted that Sang A come out and apologised.

Sang A just took money from her purse and gave it to Bok Hee who threw them back at her for disrespecting her in front of her children.

Lovely first episode.

Hope Si Kyung is Bok-hee’s leading man.  Was he the gorgeous first love she was telling her children?

Her erring husbands in her previous dramas were at least fanciable but Ki Cha Ban was a total loser even in looks. LOL

Episode 2-5

Bok Hee was cheerful and really helpful to everyone.

She was so helpful, she prevented the kidnapping of the wife of a CEO.

Unfortunately, the woman was so overcome with the kidnapping experience she ended up in a coma.

As Bok Hee can’t really prove that she had nothing to do with the kidnapping, the woman’s family began to suspect her.

Bok Hee found out that her husband is cheating on her.  He also cheated her of everything they’ve got, savings, the house, the truck.

She does not have anyone to turn to as her in-laws and her own family, though she was adopted, would not lift a finger to help her and her two children.

She was at the end of her tether, she contemplated killing herself with her two children.

Episode 6

The wife of the CEO finally woke up and insisted that she goes with the gorgeous Jang Si Kyung to Busan to find her rescuer.

They were just in time to prevent Bok Hee from driving her truck straight to the river.

The CEO woman felt so sorry for her and asked Bok Hee for her address.

The next day she gave Bok Hee a cheque for $50,000 to start over.

Bok Hee was so grateful, she told the woman that she will repay her one day.

Episode 7

Bok Hee almost immediately lost the cheque to her thieving husband who ransacked their place.  With his new girlfriend, he went to the back to cash in the cheque.

Thank goodness Bok Hee went immediately to the rich lady to ask for her help and cancel the cheque as it was stolen.

Her husband almost got away with the cash but was stopped at the last minute by the security guard who got info about the stolen cheque.

The couple was arrested but did not end up being jailed because the man was Bok Hee’s husband.

Anyway, the lady instructed her daughter to write another cheque for Bok Hee. In the meantime, the lady asked why she had not divorced her husband?

She told Bokhee to think over the pros and cons of being married to her husband.  She need not suffer for life.

Bok Hee went to the company to get the cheque from Sang-A, who humiliated her first and degraded her.

This was overheard by Si Kyung.

He saw Bokhee being thrown out from Sang-A office.

He followed Bokhee to the lift to give to her bumbag she dropped.

He was curious why she let her pride and refuse to take the cheque?

They had a mini-scuffle by the lift which made her dropped her keys down below the lift shaft.

She was so annoyed at the shameful face of gorgeous Si Kyung.

Episode 8

Miraculously Bokhee had gotten back her truck key which she gave back to her husband, who became her ex as she finally signed a divorce paper.

Si Kyung seemed to be stalking her because he was there again offering her a job to be an assistant housekeeper at the mansion.

Mrs Jo was happy for her to be working at the mansion but the Sung-A was all against it.  For some reason she really hates Bok Hee.

Episode 9

Bokhee was found out hiding her children in the mansion basement which was against her contract.  But this did not stop her asking if she and her children could live in the basement.

Her first victim for emotional blackmail was Si Kyung.  She asked him to put in a good word for her her and her children to the family.

Mrs Jo, the Chairman’s wife ended in the hospital again after Bok Hee found her collapsed on the floor having banged her head on the edge of a table.

Episode13

Mrs Jo needed a transfusion. Sang-A was asked to donate blood but she was not compatible.  Bok Hee then said that she has Type which is compatible.

As the Chairman was already in the hospital, he was offered to have a quick medical check up.  He was left alone in the doctor’s office when he found medical documents proving that Sang A is not his or his wife’s daughter.

Episode 14

Si Kyung saw Bok Hee being assaulted by a man in front fo the mansion.  Thinking that he was a kidnapper, he kick him rather hard.

They ended up in the police station.

The man was Bok-Hee’s ex-husband who was after money.

Knowing this Si Kyung would not pay him compensation and opted to be incarcerated for a while.

Poor Bok Hee did not know what to do.

Meanwhile the Chairman is determined to find out what happened in the hospital 30 years ago, why his wife ended up with the wrong baby.

Unfortunately for the Chairman, Sang A was always one step ahead of him as she had bribed everyone the Chairman talked to and also she bribed the most important person that could help her, the Chairman’s driver and assistant who tells Sang A the Chairman’s every move.

Episode 32

This drama is so slow burning so I am pausing for now and probably would pick this up at episode 50. Hopefully, Bok Hee will have that wonderful life.

Still no sign of a wonderful life for Bokhee but finally she and her husband are divorced.

Episode 58

This is the best episode of the lot so far.

BokHee overheard Mrs Jo talking with the consultant the BokHee, the kidney donor is her real daughter.

BokHee was shocked when Mrs Jo had to admit that it was true.  She was switched at birth with Sungah.

BokHee left Mrs Jo very overwhelmed with grief.

The Chairman and Mrs Jo wanted her to go see them but Bokhee turned off her phone and ignore all messages.

The Chairman and Mrs Jo as SiKyung to go see Bokhee and convince her to meet them but Bokhee also ignored him.

The Chairman and Mrs Jo went to Bokhee instead.

A floodgate of emotion opened up.  Bokhee wanted to know why when they found out she was their daughter they did not come to claim her. Instead, they continue to treat her as a stranger or help.

Mrs Jo did say that the Chairman wanted to tell Bokhee immediately but Mrs Jo begged him to give her some time to get used to the idea.

This really hurt Bokhee because she said she had ups and down with her children but they are always the most important persons in her life.

She told them that they should leave or she should leave because she would only make them unhappy by sharing her heartbreak with them.

This is really a very emotional scene.  I had a bit of a cry and I felt pity for the crying chairman.   Mrs Jo was really strange.  Her monther’s love is directed at the wrong person.  She was a witnessed how Sungah maltreated Bokhee all the time and yet she listened to Sungah that it was better to leave well things alone.  Mrs Jo has so much to make up with Bokhee.

Sungah was there when Bokhee left the Chairman and Mrs Jo.  Sungah was gloating that they did not tell her that she was their real daughter because they are ashamed of her.

This time Bokhee was more than up to Sungha’s manipulation. Bohkee told her that Sungah has been living her life and that got to stop and that she believes in poetic justice so Sungah will get her punishment.

As to SiKyung, he finally had the big reveal that he was not the chairman’s son.  He thought that BokHee was his sister that is why he broke up with her and was intending to marry Sungah instead.

But the chairman put SiKyung in the picture.  The Charman was so disgusted by the very idea that he was SiKyung’s father which would mean he cheated on Mrs Jo.

SiKyung was very relieved and told Sungah that they can’t marry because Bokhee being not his sister nullified his contact marriage with Sungah.

He then hurriedly packed his suitcase with just a few jumpers, no boxers, no socks, noties and no toiletries.  He then left the house.

Episode 66

The Chairman had had enough of Sang Ah sneaky attitude so, despite Mrs. Jo’s concerns, the Chairman threw out Sang Ah and Sera while asking Bok Hee and her children to move into the mansion.

Mrs Jo just refuses to bond with her real daughter and would often cry in her sleep over Sang Ah.

Meanwhile the Chairman is a new man.  He told Bok Hee to be less formal and starts calling them Mom and Dad.

Si Kyung asked Bok Hee if he should find an apartment near the Chairman’s mansion.

The chairman did not only threw out Sangha and Sera, he also cut off their access to their debit and credit cards,  Having no cash, they ended up staying at Bokhee’s stepmother who is not Sangah’s relatives.

Episode 97

Si Kung’ failing eye sight drove him to run away from it all but Park Bok Hee found him.  She convinced him that she would gladly and willingly be his eyesight because being without him was unthinkable.

Episode 98

Si Kung was preparing to have a cornea transplant when Sang Ah ran off with the cornea to be transplanted to Si Kung.

Park Bok Hee however was not having this and went chasing after Sang Ah who ended up on the hospital rooftop threatening to chuck the cornea down below.

Bok Hee manged to grab her back and took the bag of the organ.

Si Kung was good as new.

Episode 99

Finally Sang Ah’s shenanigans had come to light in court.  It was a real catalogue of fraud, espionage and even murder but the crime that happened a long time ago though can’t be tried anymore shocked everyone especially Mrs Jo.

Finally, it was revelated that Sang Ah was driving the car that crashed which killed her brother and an injured Si Lung and gave him amnesia as well.

Sang Ah, pulled her unconscious brother from the backseat and put him on the wheel of the car to make him look that he was driving.  She then left the scene of the crime.  If only she called an ambulance her brother could have been saved and Mrs Jo was so shocked she went for Sang Ah in the middle of the court hearing and slapped her soundly.

The judge, bless him, did not say, order, order!.  Instead he asked the prosecutor how many years should Sang Ah be jailed.  Ki Ban was also arrested fro aiding and abetting Sang Ah with her crime.

Ko Bok Hee’s life is anything but wonderful.  Her leukemia had recurred.

127 – Finale

Yes finally Bok Hee had a wonderful life in the finale.  True.  126 episodes of anything but wonderful life for the heroine.  I supposed her many tribulation had garnered the actress who played her a major award.

Anyway, Bok Hee was feeling sick again but this time you sort of know that the illness will not be major because it is the finale.

Well her illness was an onset of pregnancy.   She was going to be a momma for the third time.

1 year later…

She and Si Kyung had a baby boy and they were celebrating baby Jang 100 days with a party.  The cast were there except for Sang Ah and her boyfriend who were still in prison.  Se Ra was in America under the care of her father.

Si Kyung’s mother who had dementia went back to America for treatment.

Bok Hee’s wicked but hilarious stepmother-in-law had found herself a young CEO as a lover, according to her.

Bok Hee’s twins have changed their surname to Jang so Si Kyung is now their family.

The daughter told her real father that he will always be their biological father but they are now Jangs

Their father was sort of bribed by Bok Hee with low housing rent.  He has also a child with his new wife who became a popular vlogger.

Meanwhile, Bok Hee is having it all.  She was just awarded as rookie writer of the year for her drama she based on her real life.

Bok Hee had made up with Sang Ah and told her to change her ways. When she gets out she has a place with her family.
