Episode 1

Love it.

It is available now at Huace Tv, Youtube with an English sub.

The cast is likable.  I have always been partial to Sun Qian and I must say Daddi Tang had come a long way.

He is absolutely gorgeous.  I did not think much of him in the drama where I first saw him called Put Your Head on My Shoulder.

In this drama, Way Back Into Love, he is absolutely smoking.

The story starts with Lu Jia resigning from her job in an accountancy firm in Beijing.  Lu Jia is 25 years old and had been living in Beijing for the last 7 years.

Now jobless, footloose, and fancy-free, she decided to go back to her hometown, Dongzhou, where her father still lives.

Another reason she was going back to Dongzhou was that her best friend was getting married and she wanted Lu Jia to be her bridesmaid.

She almost changed her mind when she heard the best man will be Xu Jiaxu.

It seems Xu Jiaxu was her crush in high school but it did end well.

Anyway, she was loathed to confess to her father that she chucked in her job in Beijing but he found out anyway as he overheard her telling her friend on the phone.  Not wanting to get scolded, she told him that she has already got a job lined up.

Thinking that her experience from a Beijing accountancy firm was such a plus point, she applied for jobs.  She had some strange experiences during interviews that she began to lose hope of finding a suitable job until someone from an HR department interviewed her and more or less advise her that she’s got the job in a small local firm which is very up and coming.

It was the wedding day.  The bride relied on Lu Jia to keep accounts of the wedding money.

And then she saw him,  Xu Jiaxu was in front of her.  It looks like they were both curious and surreptitiously checking each other.

The bride tasked Lu Jia to get rid of the guests who kept ordering more food.  Lu Jia went to the power station and turned off the aircon, making it uncomfortable for the guests to stay and enjoy their hotpots.

The bride gathered all her former school mates and Lu Jia sat between Ye Anyang, who remembered and happy to see her, and Xu Jiaxu. They were all curious about her because they heard she had come back from Beijing.

At that moment, she got the confirmation of an offer to start in a firm.  So when she was asked if she has got a job, she said she, yes but it is still a secret.

They toasted her and she drank quite a bit and became so merry she kissed a surprised Lu Jia on the cheek and then Ye Anyang and the rest.

Bonus Scene:

Both Lu Jiaxu and Ye Anyang received love letters in high school.  Anyang showed Lu Jia his letters and when it was returned back to him, one was missing.  Anyang said that he was sure he had seven and why were there only six?

It was because Lu Jiaxu stole one.  He then opened his backpack and revealed exactly the same letter as the one he stole.  It looks like Lu Jia wrote love letters to both boys at the same time.  LOL

Episode 2

She went to the company to sign the contract.

She was surprised to find that her new boss will be Lu Jia.  He was the CEO of Voya Technology and the Vice President was Ye Anyang.

When they said it was a small firm, it was really a small firm with only a handful of employees.

Her position was Finance Manager but she felt that the firm was not for her because Xu Jiaxu was the boss and might be awkward working for him.

She told him that she can’t accept the position so he told her that she will be a Finance Director and her pay will be 30 percent more than the salary she was originally offered.

Seeing that they were schoolmates, she signed the contract.

Xu Jiaxu reminded her to read the staff handbook.

The next morning, the first day at work,  Lu Jia was late for two minutes.

Xu Jiaxu said that as per company policy, being late for up to an hour would mean being fined for 2 hours’ pay. Also, there was a ‘no office romance’ rule at work.

Lu Jia could not believe it and was told by her colleagues that Xu Jiaxu is very punctilious and remembers and notices everything.

Lu Jia was told to prepare the financial report on the same day but her computer broke and cannot be repaired.  She went to Xu Jiaxu who told her that he expected the report to be available on that day.

Lu Jia told him that she wanted to resign.

Xu Jiaxu said that was fine but she had to stay a month and pay the three-month penalty for leaving early.  It was in the contract she signed.

So her hands are tied.

She did manage to get a financial report together.

She was with Anyang in the lift when she asked him if he could be her boyfriend.

Bonus Scene:

The reason why Xu Jiaxu hated office romances was that he was a victim of sexual harassment for being such a pretty boy.

I really enjoyed the two episodes I have seen so far.  They are very likable, with a strong intelligent female who is not at all annoying.

Episode 5

Lu Jia ended up taking Xu Jiaxu in the hospital.  She got so upset when the doctor felt Xu Jia Xu and said that there is no time.  Lu Jia immediately jumped into the conclusion that Xu Jiaxu was dying.  She was complaining that she really had nothing to do with him, she barely knew and could not be responsible for him while he was dying.

The doctor had to calm her down and said that Xu Jiaxu was not dying but needed an emergency operation for acute appendicitis.

She stayed with him all night and when her workmates came the next day, the tried to feed Xu Jiaxu with little treats but the nurse just came in time to stop them as Xu Jiaxu is currently nil by mouth until he passes gas.

It took days for this to happen. Lu Jia did everything she could to help him but it was not just happening.

She noticed in the hospital that the staff and nurses were glued to an app on their mobile phones.  The app is called the Intimate Tree which could tell the compatibility of couples.

She started using it and showed it to her colleagues at work who told her that the Intimate Tree is actually their project.

Episode 13

You might have noticed the gaps here.  It was because this drama is so entertaining, I just went from episode to the next and then the next.  I love the lead actress and then promptly fell in love with Daddi Tang as well.

In this episode, there are a lot of cute and hilarious scenes.

It always rankled Lu Jia that she was not Xu Jiaxu’s first love.

She still remembers the incident of the Woods during high school when Xu Jiaxu and Yang Shanni got caught in the woods behind the bulletin boards in a love tryst.

Anyway, Xu Jiaxu was getting them coffee when she noticed how popular he was with the girls. She was not jealous because she reckoned they matched in looks because she was born beautiful.  Love her and her character.

Then her worst nightmare happened, Yang Shanni was in the same shopping centre and she was looking at Lu Jia.

Thinking that she can’t let Xu Jiaxu have any contact with his first love, Lu Jia ran out of the coffee shop and dragged Yang Shanni.  They went everywhere just to evade Xu Jiaxu who looking for her.

Though Yang Shanni is finding Lu Jia rather weird, she went along with her until finally they were found out by Xu Jiaxu.

Lu Jia gave the two some time to get reacquainted.

Then Xu Jiaxu told Yang Shanni that Lu Jia is his girlfriend. 🙂

Xu Jiaxu then made Lu Jia drink the now cold coffee he bought for them and asked what was the drama with Yang Shanni.

Lu JIa was annoyed with him and reminded him to the woods incident in high school.

Xu Jiaxu said that it was a misunderstanding.

He said that he was playing basketball with Anyang when one of her classmates came to him telling him that the belle of their class wanted to meet him by the bulletin board.

He confessed that he went to the meeting place but was surprised when Yang Shanni turned up.  He thought Lu Jia wanted to him because he always thought that she was the prettiest.

Awwww

And it got even cuter when he later found her looking at her shopping wish list with Janice while at work.

Janice warned her that she was in big trouble now.

What Lu Jia did not expect was Xu Jiaxu buying all the items in her wish list.  Awwww

Bonus Scene:

Yang Shanni was asking Xu Jiaxu if he remembers her.  He said not really.  She asked if he was married, he said no but went bashful and said looked how cute Lu Jia was.  He then told Yang Shanni that Lu Jia is his girlfriend.

Episode 14

Xu Jiaxu officially met Lu Jia’s father and had a good drink up after signing the 10 commandments of being Lu Jia’s boyfriend.

Episode 15

Xu Jiaxu was a very jealous boyfriend which is causing Lu Jia a bit of a problem at work.

Then poor Ang Yang found out from Zhong Jin, Meng Tian Tian’s husband, that way back in high school, Lu Jia sent him a love letter.

Ang Yang was shocked because he never received it.  He then realised that the letter must have been the missing letter.

He was so annoyed with Xu Jiaxu because he told him how much he liked Lu Jia.  He bought her milk every day and they were getting closer.

He reckoned that if he had only received the letter he would be together with Lu Jia now.

Xu Jiaxu was hurt when Lu JIa wasn’t totally focused on him especially when Angyang wanted to know the content of her love letter.

Xu Jiaxu walked out leaving everyone in the office.

Episode 16

Lu Jia went chasing for Xu Jiaxu but she can’t find him.  He even changed the password for his digital door lock.

Meanwhile, at the office, it was chaos as some people tried to take their computers because their landlord got into debts and the bailiff mistakenly tried to take goods from Voya.

The landlord confessed about what happened and also dropped a bombshell that he does not actually owned the building, he was only subletting the office to them and now the real owner wanted them all gone.

They need Xu Jiaxu to make a decision but he was nowhere to be found.

Jiaxu and Lu Jia did return to the apartment and iron out their misunderstanding.  They decided to stay together to save other from the evilness emanating from them both.

It was the night….

Lu Jia showered and preparing the candles and wine while Jiaxu was going from shop to shop to get condoms.

They finally…

Jiaxu went to take a shower but he took so long, he wanted to be perfect.

Poor Lu Jia drank a glass of the red wine to stave off her nervousness. And then another glass, another glass until she finished the whole bottle.

When Xu Jiaxu has completed his preparations, Lu Jia was gone… gone to sleep.

They then got disturbed by Janice and Anyang who wanted to tell him about the office situation.

The next morning on the way to the office they met the CEO of Sisixto(???) who seemed intrigued with Lu Jia.

Anyang and Jiaxu continued to wage war against each other.  Jiaxu sent him 8 big boxes of baby milk to pay him for the milk he gave Lu Jia in high school.

Both were behaving immaturely.  But Anyang couldn’t take it anymore and said that he was quitting the company and he will be selling his shares.

Jiaxu was only too happy to accept his resignation.

Janice and the rest were begging Anyang to stay but Jiaxu told Janice that now that Anyang was going she can have Anyang’s office.

Janice then said to Anyang to go but come and visit them often.

Love this drama.  So much tongue in cheek humour.

Episode 17

Anyang is now back at the Voya as he did not really leave, he was just sulking.

Jiaxu and Anyang made up after a game of basketball.

Anyang realised that Jiaxu had always loved Lu Jia from high school.

JiaXu said that Lu Jia is the girl he loves but Anyang is his best friend.  He doesn’t one to lose any of the two.

Zhou Junbo, their former landlord is now employed by Voya.

Voya bought out Zhou Junbo’s company, Wova and the building.

Anyway, Voya had more or less finished Pickup, their new apps, a better version of Intimate Tree.

Through Pickup, Janice was able to contact and meet her puppy love from kindergarten.

At first Anyang was killing himself laughing at the boy Janice met because he was not the one from the coffee shop that Janice thought and hoped would be.  But then Anyang beginning to realise that he was jealous of the rather comfortable friendship she has with the puppy love.

Episode 18

Pickup had been launched and it was popular but they then investors to make money.

Their number choice for investor was Sixinte but how are they going to court the CEO?

Lu Jia sort of confessed to Xu Jiaxu that she knew Song Juanxi of Sixinte because they worked on a project before in Beijing.

Episode 19

Pickup was in competition with another company with almost similar apps.

Pickup and Crisscross had to present their product to potential investors, i.e. Sixinte.

Pickup won the investment for 200,000,000 RMB.

Xu Jiaxu said he wanted to travel and asked Lu Jia where she wanted to go.

She simply said that she will go anywhere he wanted to go. Ahhhh

Episode 20

A college school of Lu Jia now works fro Sixinte.  She wanted to know if the rumours were right that she had a relationship with Song Juanxi which led him to divorce his wife.

Lu Jia was shocked saying that the rumours were not true.

But Lu Jia did wonder whether Voya got the investment because of her.

Xu Jiaxu idly looked into Lu Jia’s old CPA review book and found Song Juanxi’s name and phone number written on it.

This gave him food for though.

Lu Jia was still pondering about the investment so she asked to meet him.

They met in the noodle shop and he admitted in the end that he did favour Voya because he wanted to do something for her.

It started to rain heavily outside, Song Juanxi reminisced that it was also raining when they first met.

Lu Jia said that she does not remember.

Xu Jiaxu began to worry for Lu Jia because it was pouring with rain.  He took an umbrella to go looking for Lu Jia.
