Episode 1

It started in 1946, Si Teng was going out fairly late in the evening people who saw her commented that it was too late to go out.

Si Teng was popular in the community because she was very helpful.

Anyway, she asked a man with a rickshaw to bring her to a rather remote warehouse.  Again she was warned by the driver but in the end, he took her to the place she wanted.

Si Teng was meeting someone shrouded in purply black who after some pleasantries threw a spikey branch into Si Teng’s chest.

Si Teng fell unconscious and the blood from her chest turned into a green sap next to her.

The rickshaw man saw everything because he was curious what the pretty Si Teng was up to.

The man was gathered by a twig vine by the shrouded figure.

The figure asked the man his name which was Jia Sia.  The figure told the man to move his family to Dana and to take the body of Si Teng and his family had to guard it for generations.

Fast forward 2020…

Businessman  Qin Fang with his girlfriend, An Man, went to Dana to look for the Jia family who kindly looked after his grandfather some years back.

Qin Fang had promised his family that he would personally go to Dana to find the Jias and extend the family’s gratitude.

The bus that they were in had a documentary about aliens.  Aparently in the 4th century, during the reign of Emperor Xuan, some alien life form came to Earth.  The lifeform was plant-base but interaction with humans evolved these plant-based beings into humanoid forms.

Qin Fang was dismissing the documentary as someone’s rubbish imagination.

Anyway, when they got to the rather remote plateau where the Jia lived, there were told that the family had moved away.

Qin Fang and An Man ended up in the Highland Inn but it immediately went wrong when they met a Mr Ma who told Qin Fang to meet at that night at an inn nearby.  He said the room was 188.

Qin Fang and An Man were in their spacious room when An Man gave him a drink of water she had drugged.

An Man was actually Mr Ma’s girlfriend and would not let her leave him.

She went to see Mr Ma and after an altercation, she ended up stabbing him.

She went back for the unconscious Qin Fang and loaded him into a jeep they hired previously.  An Man was going out of her mind.  Then a car bumped them off into a ravine where the jeep was left hanging.

An Man went to the men and begged them not to touch Qin Fang.  They asked her where the item was from Mr Ma.

An Man denied any knowledge of what and where the item was but one of the men went to tip the jeep over if she does not confess.

An Man told them what they wanted and still they pushed the jeep into the deep ravine.

Qin Fang finally became conscious and noticed the cone stabbing him in the chest.  He knew he was going to die but it seems his blood seeping into the ground woke up the rattan goddess, Si Feng.

He thought he was dreaming as he saw a rattan/bamboo branch sculpting itself into a human form and quite pretty as well.

The being said that she is Si Feng and will be his master from then on.  She then healed all his wounds.  He was totally flabbergasted that the hole in his chest was completely gone.

She started treating him as her slave and he was quite willing about it having seen how powerful she was.

Episode 2

Qin Fang tried to do a runner.  But realised that without Si Feng nearby, he turned into a monster, had human, half ghost.

With not much choice, he went back to Si Feng, who found that she was losing some of her power.  She trie dto regain it that she set their hotel room on fire.

Qin Feng quickly gathered her in his arms, so cute, and brought her to safety together with a pot of rattan plant which the innkeeper said she talked to.

Qin Feng paid for the damages.

Si Feng asked Qin Feng what his dream.  Qin Feng querulously said that it was immaterial because his life is not his own anymore.,

Si Feng told him that he may be able to go back to being his normal self according to a legend she heard.

Qin Fang said that he would do a\nything.

Meanwhile, Qin Fang had contacted his friend to look for Anman.

Yan Furui and his young charge found a hole in their courtyard.  In the bottom of the hole was the root of rattan.

He realised that this was what his old master wanted him to watch out for.  He was tasked to vanquish Si Teng at all cost.

Yan Furui contacted a professor to help him figure the significance of the root.

The man who turned up was Wan Qian Kun as the professor had already passed away for quite some time.

anman was still alive but she was with her two abductors.
