First of, congratulations to Shin Ha-kyun for winning the 57th Baeksang Arts Award 2021 for Best Actor in Beyond Evil, a drama that we enjoyed watching.

Episode 1

Woo Tae Suk is a married detective.  However he put his job over his married so he became stranged with his wife.

Eun Sun Jae was a middle school girl who was a witness to a gruesome murder.  She did not want to be a witness but she was promised by Woo Tae Suk that he will protect her.

Alas, he failed to and her mother became a victim of the serial killer. And she went missing.

Episode 2

Instead of being fired or accept his resignation letter, the commissioner promoted him to superintendent and created a Serious Crime Investigation.  He thought it was a back-office job because there are really no serial killers running around in their community.

His wife told Woo Tae Suk that it was over between them because she was already dating a chief prosecutor in her office, who compared to him is rich and handsome.

Episode 3

Woo Tae Suk gave his wife the divorce she wanted which actually surprised expecting him to fight to the end.

Woo Tae Suk found out that the pushy reporter was actually the young girl he felt guilty about for letting her down.  Bae Yeo Wool was none other than Eun Sun Jae.

She said that she had plastic surgery but she does not remember anything because she has amnesia.
