Quick Precis
Choi Ban Seok is a veteran engineer but due to reorganization and possible redundancy, he asked to be transferred to the HR Department.

Episode 1
This drama started so well, very topical and rather emotive because it is about redundancies, work-life in a dog eats dog world of business.
Jinsang (forget the name really) Electronics was being closed down and the employees were given a choice of being fired or accept voluntary redundancies.
There were some who were rather valuable employees who were transferred to Hamnyeong Electronics like Choi Ban Seok.
Episode 2
Choi Ban Seok was transferred to R&D which is an electronic development section headed by Han Se Kwon.
The guys he was would be working with were so much younger than him.
They were testing a robot vacuum cleaner when it kept malfunctioning.
Ban Seok with experience of 22 years in electronics immediately pinpointed what was wrong with the machine.
He said that the Alpha 300 is state of the art but tends to affect the other components thus the machine malfunctions.
He advised using Omega 8000 instead. And it worked like a dream.
The thing is that his young boss, Han Se Kwon was immature. He thinks highly of himself being related to the CEO of the company.
Being shown up by an aging Ban Seok in front of his staff was highly humiliating so he plotted to get Ban Seok out of his department.
What he did was to secretly change back the prototype vacuum to Alpha 300 and then blamed Ban Seok for the atrocious performance of the vacuum when it was presented to one of the directors.
Han Se Kwon then blamed Ban Seok for the vacuum failure and told him that he doesn’t have a place at R&D.
He was then transferred to HR Department despite Dang Ja Young telling her boss that it was highly inappropriate to transfer someone to HR with no knowledge nor experience of human resources.
The boss said that HR is like a pair of shoes, if they don’t fit, throw them away, meaning if she complains so could be out of her job.
Dang Ja-Young was the ex-wife of Han Se Kwon.
Anyway, Dang Ja Young told Ban Seok that she really can’t tasked him with anything HR because frankly, he would not know what to do.
But he did get a task and that was delivering cakes to birthday celebrants on the company. While he was delivering, he met an old mate from the finance department and said that R&D had ordered a lot of the Omega 8000.
Immediately Ban Seok went to R&D and looked for the prototype and sure enough, when he opened it, it had the Alpha 300.
He and Han Se Kwon ended up fighting.
Episode 3
Dang Ja Young had started showing Ban Seok basic HR duties. She then gave him the task of interviewing employees and then writing a report of the interviews.
