Quick Precis
This 6-part drama will revolve around D. P., an acronym for Deserter Pursuit. A team of military hunts down runaway soldiers.
Episode 1
Ahn Joon-ho was doing his military service.
He was recruited to be a DP. DPs work in pair.
Ahn Joon ho was teamed with Corporal Park Sung Woo, who was a son of a minister.
They were assigned to bring back a deserter, who was suicidal.
Park Sung Woo told Ah Joon Ho that they could take their time and if their prey runs away then so much the better.
They then could stay out longer.
Park Sung Woo led Ahn Joon Ho astray. He made him go to karaoke and drink to the point of being senseless.
Ahn Joon Ho was woken by a call by Park Bum Goo to tell him that the soldier they were after was dead.

Episode 3
They got their man but swindled by the man’s girlfriend of 3M won.
Episode 4
Episode 5
Episode 6
Finally finished this drama last night. It was a really sad ending.
No, the leads did not die or anything.
It was because the situation in the army did not change despite the death of soldiers under compulsory military training.
It is so shocking to see what goes on in the military. The level of bullying and harassment was horrific.
This explains why some would desert the army.
It somehow explained a case of an actor who went for his compulsory military training but ended up developing panic attacks. When he started his six weeks training, he was top of his batch. But two months into his life in the army, he had panic attacks. It got so bad he was transferred into public service.
I thought he was a little diva but now, I totally understand why he was panicking.
So this drama is great, it highlights what needed to be addressed and changed for the boys and men who are compulsorily enlisted into the military. They go to serve their country but may be let down by their own countrymen!
Hope there is a Season 2.
14 December 2021: There is going to be a season 2.
