Episode 1
The drama started with a blurb that as per an ancient story, there used to be a sacred land called Yun Huang where three tribes lived.
The tribes were the Kong Sang, Quan Xian and Cang Liu.
Lang Gan and Bai Wei from the Kong Sang tribe explored Yun Huang using the Power of the Universe.
The abyss of Bi Luo Sea was the domain of mermaids from Quan Xian. The mermaids are very musical and emotional. Their tears turn into pearls, very Novoland.
The Cang Liu lives in the Ling Qiu Mountain.
But 7,000 years ago, the fairly peaceful co-existence amongst the tribes ended when Lang Gan decided to conquer the land by trapping a dragon and sealing the Bi Luo Sea making the mermaids homeless and having to migrate somewhere else. Awww the tears might have free fallen into countless luminous pearls.
A merman tried to save his tribe but in the end, he disappeared but now…
He is back.
He is Su Mo who was still having nightmares about a princess, Bai Ying, who was a disciple of the Sword Master.
This drama is interesting but too jumpy.
Zhen Lan had been running away from guards for a long time. He had been running since he arrived at Mirror City. His marathon ended at the Star Ocean Courtyard where Aunt Ru Yi was preparing the reincarnation pool.
I must admit the three male actors: Li Yi Feng, Zheng Ye Cheng, and Liu Chang look charismatic which rather made Yukee Chen insignificant. She is really pretty though but she is rather lacking the X-factor.
Anyway, while it was rather chaotic at the Star Ocean Courtyard with soldiers chasing and fighting, Su Mo decided to dive into the pool.
But he surfaced again when Bai Ying was about to fall into the pool herself.
Seriously, I thought she was a disciple of the Sword Master. But she was a weakling, an ingenue.
General Xi Jing had been guarding Zhen Lan because he was the son of the king of Kong Sang.
At first Zhen Lan took it as a joke when he was told he was a prince because his mother was just a single mother shepherdess.
He told the General that he was going back to his mother but the General told him that his mother was dead, killed by passing Cang Liu tribe.
Xi Jing escorted Zhen Lan to the King.
The ministers questioned Zhen Lan’s identity as he was too uncouth to be a prince and being a king in the making.
The King ensured to satisfy everyone whether Zhen Lan has the king’s blood by performing the Six Ring ritual.
Meanwhile, Sumo found out from Aunt Ru that he was a prince, the son of the Sea Lord, that was the reason why he was not affected by the reincarnation pool
Episode 2
The Heavenly Ring recognised Zhen Lan. The Emperor ordered that Zhen Lan be made the crown prince and be married to Bai Ying.
Bai Ying’s father gave her the news that she had to enter the Mirror City to learn the etiquette of a Crown Princess.
Bai Ying was very unhappy because she never wanted to be a crown princess but rather be a warrior and general of the army.
She has no choice though as the order of her marriage to Zhen Lan was directive of the Emperor.
Bai Ying tried to defy her father but he told her that an alliance with the emperor is for the greater good.
So she finally agreed and had the seal for the Crown Princess embedded on her forehead. It would be unsealed from a kiss by the Crown Prince on their wedding day.
The newly appointed Crwon Princess by have been sent to the Mirror City with her two maids.
In the Mirror City, more maids and servants were being assigned different duties to serve the arriving crown princess.
One of the servants was Su Mo who had been blinded and kidnapped by Qing Wang Chen and brought to the Mirror City.
Su Mo can still see but like through a fairly thick net curtain. He had been tasked to be the Crown Princess’s musician.
The Crown Princess was board. She was only thought how to be compliant with the Crown Prince.
