Yey, I have always been partial to female-centric dramas so here we go…..
I love the first episode. It is stylish with very classy leads.
Lei Li is the founder of Rising Lady which is a cosmetic company. She had a surprise one day when an irate woman came barging into her office and gave her a slap.
She was shock because she can’t think of a reason why would someone wanted to slap her.
Then, she and her team saw the new VP of the conglomerate, Yu Fei Fei.
It suddenly clicked that Fei Fei does not want to be VP only, she wanted Lei Li’s promotion.
Ren Duo Mei is a stay-at-home housewife of a rich doctor who was currently abroad. Duo Mei is a beautiful woman from an ordinary family who graduated from an ordinary university.
Though she looks polished and very accomplished, everyone can’t help but comment that she does not belong to her husband’s league.
Her husband was due to come home so she arranged a dinner party for the new hospital director to meet her husband.
Her husband texted her to say that he was not coming home just yet because there was another experiment that he had to attend.
Shen Jia Nan comes from a rich family but she does not want to rely on them. This was rather hard as she just quit her job. She is trying to get into Rising Lady to work as an assistant but the interviewer, Tan Tian, found her too maverick to work as Lei Li’s assistant.
Episode 2
Lei Li and Jia Nan met in the hospital when Jia Nan helped An Yan who had her water broke in the toilet who then got rescued by Jia Nan who took her to the hospital.
An Yan was Lei Li’s pregnant assistant who was supposed to go on maternity leave.
Anyway, Lei Li noticed that Jia Nan was rather competent but they did not have much time to talk as Lei Li the nurse was telling them that it was time for them to go. Jia Nan said she will stay to look after An Yan.
Duo Mi was beginning to be suspicious of her husband especially when she saw an entry in her husband’s young colleague’s Moment of her rather intimate pose with her husband. Even her mother-in-law told her to get a ticket and go see her husband in the state. Duo Mi, however, thinks that if her husband is doing the dirty on her then what can she do? Anyway, she thought that she needs to trust him.
Lei Li went to her school reunion where she was the guest of honour.
Episode 3
Lei Li went with her best friend, Sun Yutian to the school reunion.. They met again Zhang Wen who could not stop bragging.
Anyway, Lei Li could not take it anymore so she told Sun Yutian to give her a lift home. They were still laughing when they bumped into Wen Jin, who was Lei Li ex-boyfriend.
Sun Yitian was all agog about him.
Lei Li told her later that Wen Jin was a mistake.
Lei Li and Sun Yutian met up with the third member of their Single Sisters group. But their friend said that she was getting married. Lei LI and Sun Yutian were shocked and a little envious.
Sun Yutian and Lei Li went to a bar to dance and drown their sorrows. Yutian hooked up with someone she used to know from college while Lei Li was approached by a guy, young enough to be her son. And he was quite persistent as well.
They ended up spending the night in a hotel room with nothing happened.
It looks like Lei Li and Duo Mei were friends from the gym they both go to.
Anyway, Duo Mei does not seemed to be the helpless poor woman. She managed to convince her husband before he went abroad to pay her 15,000rmb monthly as an allowance.
Finally, Jian Nan got a job at the Rising Lady despite Tan Tian not trusting her.
Tan Tian told Lei Li that Jian Nan might be a spy as he found her taking secret photos of Lei Li.
Lei Li was not bothered but Tan Tian had a right not to trust Jian Nan who at the first opportunity searched Lei Li’s office.
Episode 4
Zhang Wei Chen surprised Duo Mei for returning from the states without telling her. They had a passionate reunion but, Wei Chen’s junior was in the background.
Episode 5
Shen Jia Nan and her friend were thrown out of their apartment. Homeless, she tried to stay at Rising Lady but Tan Tian found her. Jia Nan half confessed that she was homeless so he let her stay in the office.
Dou Mei was having problem with Wei Chen’s junior but she warned her that she does not want to start anything with Wei Chen because reputation is everything.
Dou Mei was ready to hold on to Wei Chen but he seemed rather skittish especially when she wanted to have unprotected sex to try for a bay. He told her that he was not ready.
Episode 26
Dou Mei with Lei Li and Jia Nan confronted Wei Chen who was in a rather intimate situation with Zhou Min.
Wei Chen said that nothing was going on with him and his junior but Zhou Min was rather aggressive.
Zhou Min did feel threatened at first thinking that Dou Mei was going to slap her but she slapped Wei Chen instead for allowing Zhou Min to cross the line because he did not really refuse or stop Zhou Min’s overtures.
