Episode 1
Noh Chak Hee is a very capable lawyer who was due to be made a partner at the prestigious Jangsang Law Firm.
She has a very high rate of winning cases.
A woman from her past contacted her asking for her. Apparently, Lee Soonyoung stabbed her husband suddenly.
It was found that Soonyoung was one of the women taking part in the new birth control pills test. It was found that the pill had this side effect that makes the participant either commit suicide or be violent.
Jangsang Law film was representing the company that produces the pill so when Noh Chak Hee went to visit Lee Soon young in prison, she advised her to kill herself for the sake of her child and herself.
Noh Chak Hee was on the official celebration of making her a partner at Jangsang Law Firm when the police interrupted her speech to arrest her.
Episode 2
Soongyoung did try to commit suicide as per Chak Hee’s instruction.
Chak Hee was actually shocked when she found out that Soonyoung did try to do it for real and went to see her about it.
Soonyoung said that the garter on the knickers she used was rather strong, she actually thought she was going to die.
Anyway, it looks like Chak Hee and Soonyoung grew up in the same orphanage and Chak Hee owed Soonyoung paying for her first tuition in college. Anyway, she advised Soonyoung what to say and that she had this compulsion to hurt her husband after she started taking the pills from the Kangsun Pharm trial.
She asked to meet Jwa Si Baek to meet up and then gave him the confidential finding of the pill trial.
It was Jwa Si Baek who bailed Chak Hee out of prison and then she found out that it was CEO Jang Gido who reported her.
Jang Gido told Chak Hee later that she has a choice, a suspension for one year or work as an office prosecutor.
She ofter for the office prosecutor which meant she lost her car and her plush apartment that goes with her job at Jangsang.
She quickly found out that she will be working with Jwa Si Baek.
Her mundane life as an office prosecutor that she thought had just turned interesting as Mr Cho of Kangsun Pharm who had tried to molest her turned up murdered.
Episode 3
Whoa, who is the killer of Mr Cho? Was it Jwa Si Baek or Jang Gido.
Anyway, in this episode, Chak Hee had to defend a man who has the mentality of 6 years old. She was so sure that she will get him off but he still ended up in prison. Despite this, the guy liked her and so did his mother who was so grateful.
This brought out Chak Hee’s inner kindness.
The guy made her a kite which she flew in her rooftop balcony. It got caught in the wire. Without thinking of the danger, she climb the wall and would have fallen to her death or been seriously injured if Jwa Si Baek did not come to the rescue.
Episode 4
She found out that he actually lives next door to her building. He jumped to her building to save her.
But is Jwa Si Baek the killer who is like a vigilante, killing the nasties of the world?!!!
Someone killed Yoon Seok Gu who condoned his pedophile son.
Episode 5
Detective Yoo Kyung-Jin found the body of Yoon Seok Gu drowned in the lake with the same kind of binding in his tied hand as that of CEO Cho.
She told her colleagues that it looks like a serial killer’s job.
Jang Gido kept the crime quiet with the connivance of Jeon Jae-Ho, the corrupt police chief.
Whoa! It looks like Cha Kee’s father is still alive and maybe a suspect for the serial killer.
Grandpa told Gido that covering the death of Cho and Seok Gu doesn’t mean it is over.
Detective Yoo Kyung-Jin found some evidence that Jwa Si Baek had been tailing Mr Cho.
Cha Kee was surprised and rather unhappy to find the Soonyoung’s children had been sent to the Haesong Children’s Home run by Mr Park.
It looks like Mr Park is not a nice person because he became the next victim of the serial killer.
Episode 6
The police found the body of Mr Park near the river. His had were tied using the same knots with an orange nylon rope.
Meanwhile, Detective Yoo found out that Lawyer Jwa was the one contacting clients offering for services. She began to put evidence that there is a serial killer.
Jang Gido of Jang Sang threw Chakhee to the wolves by using her as a scapegoat for the trending client who was having an affair.
But Lawyer Jwa told her not to worry about it as he had stopped the spread of the news online.
Detective Yoo tried to create reasonable doubt of Lawyer Jwa’s innocence with Chakhee.
Chakhee found out that her strange client, Choi Yoon Jung, was a former policewoman who was raped by the chief on her first day. Choi Yoon Jung sued the chief but he hired Jangsang. Chakhee realised that this was the first case that she won. Poor Choi Yoon Jung had to pay her chief 20M for defamation. No wonder Miss Choi went loopy.
Episode 7
Mr Noh, Chakhee’s father worked as a chef in a charitable school. He had been blogging about the conspiracy between high-ups.
Chakhee was surprised to find that Lawyer Jwa was the younger brother of Mr. Shin Chi Sik, who runs a cafe. He has a very sad story. He misses his wife who died a long time ago. Each anniversary, he would try to commit suicide but he would stop at the last minute.
Nokhee managed to get the file of Miss Choi from Jangsan by going to the office herself. When she was leaving the Jangsan building, she met Detective Yoo who asked her strongly to have coffee with her.
The Detective tried to make Nokhee believe that Lawyer Jwa was untrustworthy and may even be the serial killer.
The next victim of the serial killer was the police chief, Jeon Jae Ho.
Episode 8
Chief Jeon Jae HO was found unconscious.
Chakhee met up with Jang Gido who informed her that Chief Jeon was attacked now in a coma. He wanted to know from Chakhee what she thought of Lawyer Jwa.
It surprised Chakee when Jang Gido told her that he wanted to hire Lawyer Jwa to help in his election campaign. Chakee said that she did not know whether Lawyer Jwa was interested at all in politics.
Chakhee and Lawyer Jwa are getting closer especially when Lawyer Jwa rescued her from pugnacious live streamers who accosted her and accused her of murder.
Lawyer Jwa turned up and kicked their arse off.
Chakhee took Lawyer Jwa to introduce him to her favourite person, Grandpa Jang Byung Chun. Lawyer Jwa was shocked at how close Chakhee was with the Jangs.
Meanwhile, Detective Yoo managed to get a glass Lawyer Jwa drank from. She sent it for DNA testing and it match prints from the murdered victims.
Lawyer Jwa was arrested immediately.
