Episode 1
Aww, it has a cute start.
One snowy evening, Si Qing went to see Jing Chen at his beautifully restored traditional house.
She told him that she has a house with a mortgage and a brand-new car. She holds a good job. She then proposed that they should marry. She will be responsible for everything financially while he can continue with his art.
5 days previously they never met each other.
Si Qing is a customer manager at a big bank. One of the customers defaulted and it had been six months since he paid off his mortgage of 500,000. So she went to the newly restored Jing Court where she accidentally met Jing Chen.
Jing Chen lives opposite the tea house that was mortgaged. The wife of her client said that her husband run off with the money. Si Qing explained to her that she signed the mortgage application as well so she is as liable as her husband to pay the mortgage.
Anyway, she was taking photos of the teahouse when she accidentally knocked on an ancient lantern because the woman pushed her. The woman said that the lantern cost 80,000. She was blackmailed into not foreclosing on the tea house.
She went to Jing Chen to consult him about the broken jade from the lantern. When he looked at it, he told her that it was already broken ten years ago.
Episode 2
It was her birthday and she was still busy working. No one remember to greet her, not her father, her friends, and even her mother.
Her mother nagged her though to get married. Go on blind dates and stop being too choosy with men.
She went to meet clients and had to drink too much to get their business.
She was so desolate with her empty life that somehow she ended up at Jing Court and in front of Jing Chen who gave her a box.
Thinking that he remembered her birthday because he cares for her a little, she propose marriage to him.
He was shocked and did not really know what to say.
Seeing his surprise, she looked at the box she thought was her present but actually, it has the jade the she asked him to repair.
She left half ashamed. She sat outside his gate feeling so depressed in the falling snow.
