Episode 1

I really enjoyed the first episode.  Wow Sang Sang is back as He Jiu Ling.

The story was that He Jiu Ling came back from Wuhua Mountain of Xuantian Sanren after she finally finished her studies.

She is the beloved youngest child of General He who was so happy to see her.  He knows that she is mischievous but he was resigned from it and adored her anyway.

General He reminded her that she had come of age and time fulfill her betrothal to Rong Yu.

Jiu Ling was not happy about it as she thought she could finally stay beside her fighter and family.  General He said that he wanted that too but she had to get married as ordained since she was a child and she had always known it.

Jiu Ling started doing things to sabotage her engagement to Rong Yu. What she did not know was than Rong Yu found her cute when he saw her being so kind to the poor and the dispossess.  In fact, she even unknowingly saved him from being ambushed by bandits.

Anyway, it was the astrology festival and father gave her a stark warning not to go to the festival and create mayhem.

Jiu Ling of course is a woman unto herself.  So dressed in her favourite red hanfu and veiled hat, she snuck out of the He Mansion to go to the Astrology Festival.

I like the first episode which makes me want to continue watching.

Episode 2

Jiu Ling gatecrashed the Astrology Festival where Rong Yu was giving divination.  Jiu Ling thought that she will show Rong Yu off for his fakery so climbed into the stage and asked Rong Yu about her marriage divination.

Rong Yu was taken aback at first but asked her for her date of birth.  He was taking his time so Jiu Ling complained but then assassins who came as the musicians on the balcony started shooting at Rong Yu but Jiu Ling saw it and protected Rong Yu who in turn protected her as well until she ended up held in his arms.

But then she run after the departing assassins followed by Rong Yu’s guards. The main assassin was stabbed by Jiu Ling but he still got away, determined more than ever to kill Rong Yu.

When everything had calm down, Rong Yu was asked by his assistant what was concerning him.

Rong Yu said that he did not look into Jiu Ling’s marriage but instead he saw her fate four years from now.  She will die.

This made him sad and said that he will make her happy in the next four years, at least.
