Seung Hyo was finally going to confess to Seok Ryu but her ex-fiance turned up from nowhere.
The ex wanted to reconcile which upset Seung Hyo the most. Seok Ryu’s mother was annoyed at the appearance of the ex-fiance but not knowing really the full truth, she encouraged Seok Ryu to forgive and forget and then make up with her ex and go back abroad.
Fearing that Seok Ryu will have a change of heart, Seung Hyo decided to really tell her how really feels about her but then Seok Ryu stopped him. She told him that her mind is swirling with so much confusion and was now too dazed for anything more. `Poor Seung Hyo. Failed confession once again. But he did managed to make Seok Ryu to promise not to see her ex again.
The Ex won’t give up easily. So he used another tactic. He told Seok Ryu that they should have a goodbye dinner.
It so happened that Seung Hyo went to dinner with his ex, Jang Tae Hue, to discuss their business cooperation. He was so jealous and upset to find Seok Ryu to renege on her promise not to see her ex again.
Meanwhile, Seo Hye was so upset that no one seemed to have remember of her birthday. Not her husband nor even her son, Seo Hye and her Lavender gang. Everyone was so busy.
But then she got a surprised later when the Lavender girls presented her with a cake. She also finally got a birthday wishes from her son. Her husband, a busy doctor, made a point of coming home earlier and trying to get Lily of the Valley flowers for her. After extensive search visiting many flower shop, he finally found a good bunch and quite happy with himself. But then as he was nearing home, he spotted Seo Hye looking rather intimate with a guy. They were holding hands. Poor Dr Choi was so crashed he dropped the flowers.
Lovely Jung Mo Eun finally won over Kang Yeon Du, Dan Ho’s daughter. Yeon Du thought that Mo Eun is Spiderman without the web. Mo Eun was chuffed but later said to Dan Ho that she was no hero but she knew of a hero, a man who ensured that the paramedic ambulance passed through the traffic. She said she would like to find him to take her hero. All she remembered was that he was wearing a shirt with a mudflat logo. It so happened that Dan Ho was wearing the shirt but Mo Eun did not for one second think that Dan Ho was her hero. Instead, she asked him to find out who her hero was. So cute.
Now, Seung Hyo really could not take it anymore. So he went to find Seok Ryu to confess to her whether she was ready or not. He found her at her father’s cafe where she was practising her cooking. Seung Hyo told her that he likes her.💜💜💜💜

What the heck?!!!😭😭😭
This episode has some laughter but really ended almost tragic.
First the laughter: Bae Gyeon Sik and Choi Gyeong Jong went out drinking to drown their respective sorrows.
Choi Gyeon Jong believes that Seo Hye Suk was cheating on him while Bae Gyeon Sik was having a confidence issues. He thinks that he was look down on as he was not good enough for his family.
Their drunken chatter about Tteokbokki and Lily of the Valley is absolutely hilarious.
Seo Hye Suk received a text (from a lover?!!!) of ultimatum how she was going to proceed with her life now that her son is fully grown up.
Seung Hyo’s confession was so cute but he did push Seok Ryu for an answer. Instead they decided to have set a time for Seok Ryu to give him her answer. They went to the supermarket to find a suitable expiration date on something that they would base the expiration date of their big talk about their relationship.
The Ex was pursuing Seok Ryu so assiduously. He seemed to turn up everywhere.
In front of Seung Hyo and her ex, Seok Ryu felt faint. Both guys offered to take her to the hospital. For some reason, she opted to go with her ex leaving Seong Hyo absolutely gutted.
The reason why Seok Ryu chose her ex was because he knew her medical history in the US. Apparently three years ago she was diagnosed with Stage 2 stomach cancer. She had the operation and chemotherapy. But now she was suffering again.
Trailer for Episode 9: Seok Ryu seemed to have told about her cancer to Seung Hyo. He got very upset because he felt that he was not important enough that she would not confide to him of her condition.😭😭😭
Melon: Some netizen deduced from a black suited Seung Hyo that he was attending Seok Ryu’s funeral. Noooooooooooooooo
But another melon: it will become lighter again from episode 11.
