Episode 1
Two hours before Xie Wan Yin’s wedding to the Crown Prince, Wan Yin secretly went to find something to eat as she was was not allowed to eat anything before the ceremony.
She was enjoying her roast chicken in her hiding place when she spotted the Duke running away from a blindfolded man holding a bow and arrow. The duke then fell down dead almost in front of her.
She obviously was so shocked which alerted the shooter, Dongfang Zui, who is the new prefecture of the palace.
Dongfang Zui was about to kill her but realised that she was his long lost sweetheart.
Of course, Wan Yin did not recognise him at all. She just thought that he was a brutal murderer.
What she did not know was that Dongfang Zui was avenging the massacre of the 40+ members of the Na family. Dongfang Zui was Na Mian Ci, the only one left of his clan.
Anyway, he let Wan Yi get away. She returned to her quarters all excited from her experience but her maid told her to shut up as wall have ears and that it was her wedding day.
So Wan Yi calmed herself down.
She was marrying a very attentive crown prince, Li Chi.
To her horror, the master of ceremony was none other than Dongfang Zui. She tried to speak about what she know but he whispered to her that he had given her muting powder. She actually needs the muting powder because she is quite annoying at the moment.
Dongfang Zui told her that she will have her normal voice after the ceremony.
But then the auspicious ocassion was interupted by a very unusual and unforseen solar eclipse. Everyone immediately said that it was bad omen so the service was cancelled and Wan Yi was taken for questioning.
Dongfang Zui appeared before her and told her that her wedding to the Crown Prince was no longer happening but he was marrying her himself.
