Episode 1
“The future can change the past,” said Ye You Ning in a seminar he was giving in London where he was based in 2019.
He was talking about quantum physics when a face from the past suddenly materialised.
It was Wen Xi, who became the focus of his audience’s attention and his for that matter.
The rather embarrassed Wen Xi apologised for interrupting the talk. She said she came to the wrong room.
Anyway, because of her, Wen Xi thought of his grandpa so he went back to China; this was in 2019.
His grandpa brought him up. Grandpa used to be an electronic engineer and owned a shop. He still had the shop with all the electronic goods; unfortunately, his grandpa had now succumbed to dementia and doesn’t recognise him.
His grandpa’s illness saddened him. He was looking around grandpa’s roomy shop when suddenly the heavens opened with the full force of nature.
The thunder and lighting seemed to have targeted his grandpa’s shop and the electrics were having a merry dance. He then saw an old Nokia which started ringing even if it was off.
He pressed to answer the phone but all of a sudden he was catapulting into another dimension where he was a high school student landing on Wen Xi’s sidecar which was actually an 18th birthday present from You Ning’s grandpa who lives next door to her house.
It looked like the time travel is a culmination of Wenxi’s birthday wish though she did not know it.
