Episode 1
Yu Sheng is a merman who came from the Planet Kepler. Because of his planet drying up, Yu Sheng ended up alone on Earth when his father, who traveled with him died during the journey as he sacrificed himself to give the last remaining water to the young Yu Sheng.
Yu Sheng live in his spaceship which was able to camouflage itself and blend in with the surrounding
Young Yu Sheng used to swim to the seashore to listen to a girl who often played her guitar. The girl, An Xin Er, was not frightened of him, and they became friends.
Yu Sheng develops legs when he is ashore but one day, a group of naughty boys assaulted him because one of them saw him with a fishtail.
An Xin Er came to the rescue but ended up banging her head on the rock while a rather perturbed Yu Sheng accidentally scratched her. Some sort of chemical/physical change started happening to her.
Her family found her and took her away and that was the last time Yu Sheng saw her.
A few years later…
An Xin Er developed ichthyosis, which made her self-conscious. Who wouldn’t? She had green scaley scabs all over her arms and face so she started wearing a netted veil.
An Xin Er became a lonely subdued girl. To encourage her, her father and grandma hired a handsome tutor, Ling Zhi, for her.
Before long, she fell in love with him and he pretended that it was a mutual feeling.
An Xin Er comes from a very wealthy family. She is an heiress to a film production company. Alas, her father was dying, and seeing that she was happy with Ling Zhi and he seemed to be good to her, her father told Ling Zhi to marry An Xin Er who will get 70% of his business shares while Ling Zhi will get 30%. Ling Zhi will manage the business as An Xin Er couldn’t. But if they ended up divorcing, Ling Zhi had to return the shares.
The father then died.
Grandma was poorly in the hospital but she seemed to have gotten the true nature of Ling Zhi but a little bit too late.
Anyway, Ling Zhi convince An Xin Er to transfer her shares to him as well so that he will not be gossiped, so he said. Being so in love and absolutely trusting him, she did as she was told.
After the transfer, Ling Zhi threw a yacht party where An Xin Er stayed in a secluded and quiet corner of the boat.
A girl sought her out but the next moment, An Xin Er was falling into the water.
She was drowning and a hungry shark was zoning on her but Yu Sheng was there like Flash Gordon. He realised that she was the girl he used to see playing the guitar.
To revive her, Yu Sheng lends her his life crystal. She woke up looking like a different girl (Tang Min had now taken over the part🤣). All her scaley scabs are gone.
She was supposed to have a memory loss but it did not happen. She remembers Ling Zhi and is excited to get back to him.
Yu Sheng told her that he does not think that Ling Zhi is a nice guy and is in love with her because the other girl who also fell into the water was the one he went to rescue instead of An Xin Er.
An Xin Er took this on board so she went back and saw with her own eyes that Ling Zhi was already binning her personal things. She overheard Ling Zhi sigh of relief that he does not have to suffer her repulsive face.
An Xin Er was heartbroken and went back to Yu Sheng. She told him that she had to find her grandma.
Grandma was at death’s door. Grandma told her that she must find her biological aunt who can help her sort Ling Zhi.
It is really watchable. It is fast-paced and well-acted.
Episode 2
An Xin Er found her aunt. At first, her Aunt refused to help her because she was not worthy of losing her shares, and the business from the An family as well as having made a mockery of the An name.
But An Xin Er was single-minded about taking back what Ling Zhi took from her. So her Aunt finally agreed. And taking Yu Sheng as well; one mouth more to feed is nothing.
Episode 3
An Xin Er was serious about learning but then Yu Sheng was even better. He was like Superman who could read superfast and retain what he read in his memory.
An Xin Er is now her Aunt’s apprentice and decided to change her name to Li Zixin.
Episode 4
Li Zixin came face to face with Ling Zhi and he did not recognise her.
29 August 2020: The filming ceremony for this drama is held today.
This drama is based on a BL (Boy Love) romance novel.
It is apparently about a genius young detective, Zhang Ping, who gets into everything including a case under Lan Jue, who is the Minister of Rights.
With Zhang Ping’s deductive reasoning, he solved Lan Jue’s case and saved his life as well, thus they forged a lifelong bromance.
Weilong & Boran are at the pinnacle of utter gorgeousness, this alone is worth watching this drama. Can’t wait.
30 January 2023: The broadcast of this drama today took everybody by surprise. It just dropped without any fanfares.
Episode 1
Wow!
It suddenly occurred to me why I was desperate for Jing Boran to work with Zhao Lusi in Shen Yin, Jing Boran has such a sexy voice, it is as smooth as honey. Anyway, I digress.
Jing Boran with Song Wei Long is double the x-factor so this drama is a treat. A TREAT!
Let’s go.
Jing Boran plays Lan Jue, the Deputy Minister of Rites. He was in a mission to get a coin which hid a missive that tells who was behind a plot to kill him.
The coin is with a merchant who was a racketeer as a messenger. Lan Jue’s plan was almost full-proof of securing the coin from the hood but then Zhang Ping a lowly scholar, part-timing as a street-food chef, got drawn into the plot. Lan Jue did not take into consideration that the lowly Zhang Ping has logical thinking and keen observation skill.
So the carefully planned scheme Lan Jue devised came to naught as Zhang Ping told Hong Luo, the merchant, how and where the coin was taken and ended up.
Lan Jue was impressed with Zhang Ping and offered him sponsorship when he found out that Zhang Pin was a poor scholar who was about to take the expensive Imperial Examination.
He turned him down. Zhang Ping became obsessed with the one who tried to steal the bead from Hong Lou. He then suspected that Lan Jue was the culprit. He found evidence but Lan Jue just ignored him.
Zhang Ping, however, refused to be ignored.
Episode 2
It was Lan Jue’s birthday. He invited nobles and high officials to his party while the less fortunate has to buy tickets to go to the entertainment/brothel house where the party was held.
Zhang Ping and his friend managed to get tickets. They were watching some dancing when the main dancer, Xie Hou, who was suspended from the ceiling caught fire.
Everything went chaotic.
Suddenly, Lan Jue’s nemesis turned up. He was Guo Yin, who Lan Jue suspects to be behind the plot of getting him disgraced and eventually killing him.
But then the Empress Dowager, who was the real power behind the throne, turned up to watch the dancing.
So a fact-finding/forensic team which included Zhang Ping was formed to find out the truth. Zhang Ping was hindered at every step but then he was so determined he managed to do his own thing.
The main suspect was another dancer, Han Yan, who was a lover of Guo Yin.
Wow, second episode and there are so much goings-on already. Keep it up.
Episode 3
Wow, what a convoluted plot!!!
The Empress Dowager summoned Lan Jue as Zhang Ping reported that Han Yan had something to do with the murder.
Han Yan blamed Lan Jue and confessed that she has the bead hidden under her bed. When the bead was brought in, it contained a note apparently written by Lan Jue to someone plotting to overthrow the throne.
It turned out that Lan Jue’s family had a history of treason as his father and other relatives were punished for it.
The Empress Dowager was annoyed with Lan Jue because the royal family had been kind to him.
Lan Jue begged to see the letter. The Empress Dowager allowed him to read it. Lan Jue immediately declared that it was a fake and that he had nothing to do with it. The phrasing of the sentences is different from his work and the person who wrote it was left-handed.
When he was asked who could have done it, he said Guo Jin as he is the person to benefit if lan Jue becomes a pariah. Guo Jin was the other officer vying for the position of Minister of Rites when the elderly minister retires
Guo Jin was called and he denied knowing anything about it. But Lan Jue used his ace card. He baited Guo Jin that who was illicit relationship with Han Yan that he does not even know her
This triggered Han Yan into confessing that Guo Jin was not an upright official. He was eaten with jealousy of Lan Jue. He did it.
Meanwhile, Zhang Ping was still feeling uneasy about the case so he went back to the dancehall to question the girls.
He saw Zhi Xia who had gone crazy. But then Zhang Ping turned out to be a one-man-band who is Jack of all trades. In no time, he was able to hypnotise Zhi Xia. From her, he found out who really kill Xia Hoa. It was another dancer, Miss Li
Episode 4
The dancer was Miss Li who was a daughter of a general of the Army for Southward Crusade which was wholly massacred through the connivance of Lan Jue’s father with the enemy, apparently.
Miss Li almost succeeded in her revenge by killing Lan Jue who she managed to kidnap but Zhang Ping turned up and protected Lan Jue.
Zhang Ping was badly injured. The doctor later said that there was nothing he could do and to just prepare for Zhang Ping’s funeral
His friend got very upset because he had only a few coins, not enough to buy a coffin.
Lan Jue ordered his guard to get the best coffin for Zhang Pingl
Episode 5
Lan Jue heard that Zhang Ping managed to find out that Miss Li was the culprit by having one of the dancers who went crazy to hypnotism using water.
Lan Jue asked Zhang Ping to hypnotise him too so he could remember something in the past.
Zhang Ping told him that he would also remember all the secrets that Lan Jue is hiding. Lan Jue changed his mind.
Episode 6
The next case was about a dancer who danced in trance to inspire a painter but then she stopped and turned into a statue quite dead.
Zhang Ping who was with Wang Mowen said that the dancer was poisoned.
They found the Immortal Nomadic Smoke as the killer rouge. LOL
But Zhang Ping still continued investigating which annoyed and made Lan Jue nervous as he was trying to protect Miss Gong.
It was too late, Zhang Ping found Miss Gong.
Episode 7
Miss Gong is the daughter of the Minister of Rites. She wanted to be a dancer but Chu Qie’er, the dead statue dancer bullied her and even got her raped. Chu Qie’er then threatened to gossip about Miss Gong if she did not withdraw from the dance contest and support Chu Qie’er instead.
But she hated Chu Qier with such a passion, she prayed that Chu Qie’er dies. A mysterious hooded man heard her and said not to leave the death of Chu Qier to God; she has to do it herself.
She has to follow his instructions.
Zhang Ping convinced Miss Gong to surrender herself to authorities immediately. Miss Gong agreed as she was feeling guilty but then Lan Jue turned up and told Miss Gong that she had not done anything wrong. She was gravely bullied. He then told her that her grandpa was about to retire. He needs a quiet peaceful life
Zhang Ping was going berserk that Lan Jue is so corrupt and corrupting Miss Gong as well.
Minister Gong advised Lan Jue to let Miss Gong be punished for her misdeeds.
Episode 8
Before Miss Gong is arrested, she vanished. Mowen and Lan Jue were working with a very uneasy Zhang Ping to locate Miss Gong. Zhang Ping does not trust Lan Jue at all.
They found out that there is something mystical that is behind the disappearance of Miss Gong. It has something to do with the mythical Six Sages.
Lan Jue and Zhang Ping ended up in an underground cave where they saw the mysterious hooded man who was talking about them being in a canal of time.
Before he can elaborate, there was erosion. Lan Jue and Zhang Ping were almost buried. Lan Jue woke Zhang Ping to get to safety. They managed to climb up a dried up well helped by rescuers led by Mowen.
Episode 9
Lan Jue, Mowen, and the guards are in search of Zhang Ping who had been kidnapped by the city embalmer, who had also abducted Miss Gong.
The Embalmer was collecting people who could represent the 6 sages so he could perform the ritual of bringing back to life the two boys, Hu and Hu Na, who helped him escape from the quack doctor 20 years ago.
The embalmer was too powerful but Zhang Ping managed to get his water bowl from his manbag to use to hypnotise the embalmer.
Lan Jue arrived just in time before the wicked embalmer woke from his hypnotism. Knowing that he lost, the embalmer tantalised Lan Jue with the knowledge that he knew about the case of his father. But as time is of the essence to save Zhang Ping and Miss Gong, Lan Jue chose to save the two instead. The embalmer died from his own poison.
During the morning court, the Emperor refused to attend as he was redundant anyone as the Empress Dowager decides on everything.
Episode 10
Zhang Ping specially made Lan Jue some zongzi with salted egg stuffing but Lan Jue refused it because there were others around them giving him stuff as well.
But then when Lan Jue went to find Zhang Ping to ask for the zongzi, Zhang Ping’s friend had already eaten them all.
Zhang Ping is developing a lovely bromance with Lan Jue. He wanted to help Lan Jue find out about his father so he offered to have a confidential water therapy hypnotism with Lan Jue.
Lan Jue said that he does want to find out the woman who came to visit his father before he left but when he returned he was blamed for being a traitor.
Zhang Ping brought Lan Jue to the Realm of Truth and Purity to meditate.
Their LDR (Long Distance Relationship) did not work out; they ended up breaking up.
But Maybe it’s Love because they did eventually reconcile. They got married and blissful ever after.
Episode 1
A year after Zhou Shi went abroad to study, Wei Qing is not happy as she seemed to not have enough time for him.
It was Wei Qing’s birthday and called Zhou Shi hoping that she remembered that it was his birthday, instead she was uninterested and begged him to let her sleep as it was in the early hours. She told him though that she sent him a parcel.
Poor Wei Qing is disappointed and annoyed that she does not want to talk with him and ignores him.
His staff said that a parcel was waiting for him outside. Wei Xing went out and to his surprise found Zhou Shi waiting for him and she said that she would not miss his birthday for the world.
Lin Fei Fei was having a noona love with young Ning Fei but it was cut short when Xue Zi, Ning Fei’s sister took him abroad.
Meanwhile, Li Meng Cheng and Bi Qiu Jing are in a sexless marriage. Li Meng Cheng got upset with Bi Qiu Jing when he realised that he was the subject of his experiment.
Episode 2
Wei Qing and Zhou shi broke up.
Zhou Shi found out that Wei Qing complained to the university abroad that there was an anomaly in the choice of Zhou Shi as a scholar.
Wei Qing told Zhou Shi that he did it because he can’t do another LDR with her. It was painful the first time.

Episode 1
Luo Yunxi and Cheng Xiao have an instant rapport. They look cute together. But I have to say Cheng Xiao really is not a natural actress though she is improving … slowly.
Luo Yunxi is painfully thin, he could do with more sausage rolls but having said that he is gorgeous and so is Cheng Xiao
The drama storyboard is nothing new. Misunderstanding, amnesia, revenge…
Anyway, it started with the delicately gorgeous Su Xie Yi wearing a most horrendous wig which has still the mark of how it was folded on it. She was on her way to Ocean Hotel to start her investigation on why and who killed her father.
Her number one suspect was Huo Jian, who is currently running the Ocean Hotel as a proxy to Li Ze Liang.
Su Xie Yi went to look for evidence in the manager’s office where she managed to record him being involved with some dirty dealings.
Meanwhile, Li Ze Liang was being tortured by his uncle Huo Jian with a game of badminton.
Li Ze Liang was almost always on his knees trying to match up with Huo Jian who told him that it was time to man up and take responsibility for Ocean Hotel which is own by the Lis and not the Hous so Li Ze Liang will inherit it.
He told off Li Ze Liang for being lackadaisical with his responsibilities for getting drunk most of the time.
And it was in the bar that he met up with Su Xie Yi.
Li Ze Liang was being harassed by a man who got jealous when his girlfriend drunkenly hugged Li Ze Liang.
To evade the furious boyfriend, Li Ze Liang accidentally poured his drink on Su Xie Yi who was sitting at the bar next to him.
He apologised to her but got the shock of his life because he knew her.
Su Xie Yi helped him get away from the boyfriend and the bar. They got into her car to hide.
They got talking and he noticed the pill bottle which she told him was her medication as she suffers from dissociative amnesia.
He realised why she did not seem to know him.
It turned out that it was all a setup. Su Xie Yi paid the boyfriend to make trouble for Li Ze Liang so they could meet.
They have a backstory.
They first met while he was rock-climbing and almost fell down with her in tow when she hit him with a stick when he had just reached the top of the mountain thinking that he was a warthog.
He ended up spending the night with her, platonically, but he did leave her his business card the next morning
She was still thinking about him when she got a call from someone telling her that her father was in trouble, he had gone to Hou Jian’s apartment.
Su Xie Yi went to find her father and she was just in time to see him falling from the rooftop of the apartment building.
Li Ze Liang was on the rooftop with his arm extended as if trying to stop Xie Yi’s father.
Su Xie Yi does not remember this as she fainted from the shock of seeing her father falling to his death almost right before her.
Meanwhile, at present time, Li Ze Liang revealed why he was not good at badminton, he had lost his left leg and is now made of metal, bionic.
Episode 2
Su Xie Yi got a job at Ocean Hotel working at the General Manager’s Office. She became an assistant to the General Manager who was Li Ze Liang.
Li Ze Liang showed her a CCTV of her sneaking in to reveal an employee being up to no good.
Episode 3
Su Xie Yi’s sister’s fiance is a bit sinister.
He is Minghao and he looks like he was after Su Xie Yi.
Bai Yexuan found out that she lives next door to her tsundere boss.
Episode 1
Ye Xuan had just arrived in Shanghai to find a job and a place to stay.
Lucky her she got a job immediately though as an intern with a salary of 4,000 Yuan per month at 88ED.
After almost being conned, she did manage to find a place that looks so beautiful with only 4,000 per month rent. But the place has many stipulations.
As fate would have it, she continuously bumped into a guy who saw her at her most embarrassing situation stuck on top of a high fence trying to get away from a con-artist realtor.
Later on, she found out that he was the guy who lives across to her apartment.
What she does not know yet was that he was her landlord and the person who was going to be her boss when he takes over the small company she now works for.
Episode 2
I don’t what is it about this drama. It was so stupid, most of the time it does not make sense and yet I was giggling throughout this episode.
Ye Xuan had now found out that the guy next door was her landlord. She had to scream and call him a pervert first of course.
Anyway, there is a burglar going around the apartment buildings who left marks on each door. He marked Ye Xuan as a target while Li Zenan had a mark indicating the family was too influential.
He Yucheng, Ye Xuan’s work colleague had taken a protective stance on her was worried for her so while she was buying more safety paraphernalia for her doors and windows she called Zenan to ask him for money as a landlord.
Zenan was so shocked he thought Ye Xuan had been kidnapped and they were asking for random. Anyway, he hurried back and went to Ye Xuan’s apartment and found a strange guy, who was Yucheng, fiddling with the balcony door lock.
They started fighting, they were both not really good at fighting so it was more like a cartoon fighting
Thankfully Yexuan came home and found the two rolling on the ground.
In the end, everything was cleared and they managed to get the real burglar.
Episode 3
Ye Xuan was almost fired because she misplaced the USB drive when she had to do a presentation to their client.
Episode 4
Yexuan still had not realised that Zenan is Party A, the biggest client of their company
She worked hard designing but Director Li stole her design.
Zenan at least knew
Seeing how upset she was, he went drinking with her.
