Zhang Yang saved a girl on a bike on impulse. He told her to stop starring at him.
She looked innocently at him quickly denied it because it was untrue as she was distracted by a quarreling group by the side of the road.
Zhang Yan then released her bike and she went careering on a parked lorry.
It turned out that they were classmates at middle school. They were both 16.
They met again and told her that he was rating her as D.
She immediately went to get an English dictionary to look for adjectives beginning with D. She thought perhaps he thought she was diligent. But she heard from boys talking that there was a list of girls with ratings and D means ugly.
Zhou Jing Mang was not amused.

Episode 2
Every time Zhang Yang sees her, he always say something rude like she looks like six years old.
She told him about her dream. She wanted to be a writer, write good literary stories and be the best in the field.
He just smiled at her.
Their military training was almost ending and their friendly platoon leader allowed them to take a groupie but the very strict Mr Zhou, their instructional and English teacher, went absolutely mental and confiscated the mobile phone and then threw it on the ground.
Zhang Yan was so annoyed and would have gone for Mr Zhou if Jing Mang did not hug him on the leg preventing him from moving.
Mr Zhou seemed to have come out to his senses especially when the other students started chanting that it was physical punishment and they were going to sue Mr Zhou.
Jing Mang is a budding writer and she had this notebook about story loosely based on Zhang Yang.
Unfortunately it fell on the hand of her classmates who used the notebook as paper planes.
Jing Mang was gutted and went to find all the pages of her story.
She did not noticed that Zhang Yang had followed her and when he handed her some of the pages she accidentally bumped her nose in his hand causing her nose to bleed.
Jing Mang took her to the infirmary.
At this early stage, Zhang Yan already adored her. He lent her his MP3 and then went out and started reading her story.
He absolutely enjoyed it and told her so later.
Then jumped to the present time, at the class reunion, Zhang Yan was missing and

Episode 1
Twenty years ago, Rong Xuan was captured at Mong Qingya by the Five Lakes Alliance together with other brave fighters.
Rong Xuan left an armory of invincibility. But this legendary armory could only be opened by the Glazed Armour.
Therefore, there was a race to find this key.
Prince Jin secretly created an army of assassins to kill corrupt court officials.
This secret organization is called the Window of Heaven which is headed by Zhou Zi Shu.
Their latest mission is the military governor, Officer Li who was trying to run off with important court documents.
Zhou Zi Shu killed him.
The assassins killed everyone at the manor.
Zhou Zi Shu especially went to see Princess Jing An, the daughter of the governor to tell her to drink poison, apparently a more elegant way to die rather than beheading.
Zi Shu noticed that the princess was holding the wooden hairpin his brother, Jiu Xiao, carved. He felt a bit sorry that the princess had to die.
Bi Chang Feng and Zhou Zi Shu are the only two left from the original 83 members of the Window of Heaven – Four Season Manor. Uncle Bi is old and Zhou Zi Shu was not in the best of health either because of the Window of Heaven which like a Black Hole, once entered, you can’t leave.
Uncle Bi was tired of it all and told Zi Shu to end it for him. So Zhou Zi Shu had to kill him using the Seven Points Three Autumn Nails, which meant Uncle Bi will live for three years as a zombie and then die.
It turned out that Zhou Zi Shu wanted to leave the Window of Heaven he created because he blames himself for the death of all of his brothers. He had the nails embedded in his body but not all at once, so he would only lose half of his martial art and still basically compos mentis. For 14 months he had been in pain and suffering.
At last, he went to see Prince Jin, who was pissed off from waiting for him to appear.
He told the Prince their mission was a success and that he will leave the Window of Heaven and then he proceeded to strip his top half to show his chest with 6 nails.
He told the Prince that he only needed one more which will kill him. He said that he had lost his full martial art power and now quite useless.
The Prince was raging and told him that he was so stupid. He did not have to do that.
The Prince was so annoyed and a little sad that he has no one he can trust anymore. He was desperate to take down the throne from the emperor.
Zhou Zi Shu went home and had a prosthetic face to disguise himself as a drunk.
Meanwhile, in the Devil’s Mountain, there was an uproar because the Glazed Armour was missing.
Three months later…
Gorgeous Wen Ke Xing was in a resto-bar in the capital with a pretty girl who was chattering away.
The girl was going on and on about how sad the beggar was. No one was stopping by to give him alms.
But then a young man did stop and gave him a few coins which the beggar threw aside.
The girl, Gu Xiang, hollered to the beggar that she will treat him to a meal.
The beggar said he does not need food, he needs more wine.
The girl flew to him with a carafe of wine which the beggar appreciated.
But the girl wanted to be entertained and started trying to beat up the beggar which she was finding impossible to do as she can’t seem to touch him despite her excellent martial art.
In the end, she took her whip and was using it on the beggar but finally, the elegant Wen Ke Xing intervened and caught the rope to stop the girl.
Wen Ke Xing had a very meaningful gaze with the beggar who was Zhou Zi Shu.
Based on how the female lead is presented, I don’t blame the two male leads to go for each other instead. LOL😜🤪😝
Episode 2
Wen KeXing knew that the beggar is no ordinary man. He saw how the beggar was using a technique unique to Four Season Manor.
This episode is so flirtations. Wen Ke Xing was seducing Zhou Zi Shu who at the moment is resisting but he can’t help having a second look at Wen Ke Xing.
Anyway, the boy who tried to give him alms also gave him a token which allows Zhou Zi Shu to be a guest at Mirror Lake Manor.
When Zi Shu got to the manor, he was shown the woodshed as his room.
He did not complain but that night his nails activated some worms in his blood. His pain was interrupted by some noises outside. He then saw those ghost-masked assassins having invaded the manor and were killing all the servants and the young master who invited him was being hunted as well.
The young master was being protected by the old boatman, who brought Zi Shu to the island.
Later on, the old boatman was dying and made Zhou Zi Shu promise to take the boy to Five Lakes Alliance.
Meanwhile, Zhou Zi Shu, Wen Ke Xing, Gu Xiang (the feisty girl) and Zhang Cheng Lin (the young master) have formed an alliance.
Episode 3
The four seemed to end up at the same place all the time and Wen Ke Xing calls this fate.
He told Zhou Zi Shu that he will sort of leave him alone if he shows him his real face which must be very handsome.
Zhou Zi Shu said that he will show his true face if Wen Ke Xing shows his first.
Wen Ke Xing said that his real face is monstrous.
Anyway, Wen Ke Xing was exhibiting intense boy love for Zhou Zi Shu who was still resisting. LOL
I am beginning to like the girl, Gu Xiang. She is very upfront and she was giving confidence to the orphan Zhang Cheng Lin, who was grieving and had a very bad wound that he won’t tell them about.
It seems Zhang Cheng Lin is a target of the ghost sect because he was once again saved by Wen Ke Xing in between the men’s flirtations.

Episode 4
Wen Ke Xing and Zhou Zi Shu with Zhang Cheng Lin were just about to have some breakfast at the busy marketplace when a horde of ferocious beggars started surrounding them.
The gang said that no one will get hurt, they just need to fetch Cheng Lin for their boss.
Cheng-Lin got frightened and hid behind Zhou Zi Zhu, who told Wen Ke Xing to look after the boy while he sorted out beggars.
He did a pretty good job fighting with the beggars, that was until he started coughing blood. He took Cheng Lin away and left Wen Ke Xing to obliterate every single one of the beggars.
Gu Xiang was pretty shocked when she finally turned up. She scolded her master for making so much mess.
Gu Xiang later found Zhou Zi Shu feeding the unenthusiastic Zhang Cheng Lin with grilled fish. Gu Xiang told Zhou Zi Shu that the fish was bitter because he did not gut it before cooking.
Zhou Zi Shu could not help but asked where Wen Ke Xing was.
Gu Xiang pointed to the nearby yacht and sure enough, Wen Ke Xing was with a couple of girls while he started playing the flute.
After a while, Wen Ke Xing could not bear teasing Zhou Zi Shu and he flew to him.
Cheng-Lin asked Zhou Zi Shu to be his master. He wanted to learn martial arts.
But at 15, Zhou Zi Shu, told him that he was too old. To become good at a martial art, one should start at 5 years old to learn the basics.
Cheng-Lin was crashed but Wen Ke Xing took him aside. He said that Zhou Zi Shu looks ferocious but he has a kind heart. The secret was not to give up. Keep asking until you get a satisfactory answer.
This applies to Wen Ke Xing as well and it seems Zhou Zi Shu is beginning to warm to him, so much so, he allowed Wen Ke Xing to tag along with them when they went to deliver Cheng Lin to Zhou Jing of Tai Lake Sect of the Five Lakes Alliance.
Episode 5
At the Sanbai Manor of Tai Lake Sect, Cheng Lin was warmly welcomed but somehow Zhou Zi Shu was rather suspicious.
A banquet was held at the manor and many attended from different sects.
Wen Ke Xing is more openly gay 🤗, he eyed the young men.
But hell broke loose in the manor when some assassins turned up.
They thought that the assassins were after Cheng Li but actually, someone from the inside stole the three of the five of the Glazed Armor.
There were also women from the Ghost Valley who were attacking men who committed infidelity and this added to the confusion when men from another sect were found hanging by the outside wall of Senbai Manor, presumably attacked by Ghost Valley Sect.
Cheng Lin was looking like a lost soul but Zhou Zi Shu told him to hold his tears because men don’t cry.
Anyway, Wen Ke Xing and Zhou Zi Shu ended in the mortuary then the Zhou Ancestral Home where they both became victims of hallucinogenic incense.
After seeing his young self and his father, though it made him happy he knew that it was not real. As to Wen Ke Xing, he embraced his hallucination completely.
When Zhu Shi tried to tell him that it was not real, Wen Ke Xing called for his mother telling her that Zhou Zi Shu was being mean.
Zhou Zi Shu was surprised! He asked himself if Wen Ke Xing knew that he was Zhu Zi Shu all along
Episode 6 – Flirtation 101
Zhou Zi Shu was able to wake himself from his hallucinations while Wen Ke Xing was behaving like a very tactile child to his mother which was rather inappropriate at that time as they were being attacked by a hoard of zombies coming out from the many coffins in the courtyard.
There were so many mummified zombies that Zhou Zi Shu thought it was the end of him when he ended up flat on his back ready for the attacking zombies.
But Wen Ke Xing chose the right moment to come out of his dream and with one whip of his fan the zombies were flying all over the place.
Wen Ke Xing found the Soul Winding Box; he then carted Zhou Zi Shu to safety.
They were sitting by the lake when Zhou Zi Shu started tending to his own wounds from zombie scratches and bites.
Wen Ke Xing tenderly cleaned up the bite on Zhou Zi Shu’s shoulder and he had to suck off the blood from the wound which made Zhou Zi Shu felt uncomfortable at the sensual act.
Zhou Zi Shu fought off the feeling and they ended up literally fighting and ended up in a barge in the lake.
Wen Ke Xing won the fight and had Zhou Zi Shu toppling in the lake.
Wen Ke Xing waited for him to surface but he did not. He started to get worried and dove in to find him.
I thought he will find him and then Wen Ke Xing will give him a mouth to mouth but nope.
Zhou Zi Shu was alive and his prosthetic mask was gone.
Wen Ke Xing was smitten. Zhou Zi Shu told him to stop looking at him.
They got talking about the Soul Winding Box and the Hanging Ghost. Zhou Zi Shu said that the real Hanging Ghost was not the one they saw at the Zhou Courtyard.
The real Hanging Ghost is only a young man. I bet he is Wen Ke Xing.
Wen Ke Xing gave the box to Zhou Zi Shu but warned him to be careful with it.
Zhou Zi Shu was able to open the box quickly and found a piece of the Glazed Armour which he gave to Wen Ke Xing.
Wen Ke Xing teased Zhou Zi Shu about giving it to him because it was bad luck.
Zhou Zi Shu was that he was already bad luck to him but if he doesn’t want it then he can throw it away.
Flirteously, Wen Ke Xing said never, it was the first gift Zhou Zi Shu had given him and he would treasure it always, he will put a chain on it and it will be in his body all the time. 🙂
Zhou Zi Shu just rolled his eyes but he can’t help the smile on his face.
Wen Ke Xing was now sure that Zhou Zi Shu is the real Zhou Zi Shu.
Zhou Zi Shu was pondering that it seems the Window of Heaven was involved in many things that he did not know about. He was wondering if they were involved with Ghost Valley because the incense of hallucination was actually Zhou Zi Shu’s own creation which is called Drunk-Like-Dream which gives one 5-7 days of sweet dream unless one takes the antidote. So how did the Ghost Valley got the Drunk-Like-Dream.
Zhou Zi Shu took an antidote for the Drunk LIke Dream and then thoughtfully gave an antidote to Wen Ke Xing as well.
This made Wen Ke Xing so happy.
Poor Cheng Lin was not having a fun time at Sanbai Manor because the Fifth Brother was forcing him to tell them what happened when the assassins attacked Mirror Lake.
Cheng LIn said he could not remember and this only infuriated the Fifth Brother.
Zhou Zi Shu and Wen Ke Xing went back to Sanbai Manor but found out that Tai Lake Sect had left for a seminar in Yueyang.
Zhou Zi Shu saw someone familiar at the Sanbai Manor and knew more than ever that Window of Heaven was involved with the Ghost Valley and in many more things.
Wen Ke Xing went to a jeweler and asked that he wanted 30 copies of the piece of the Glazed Armour.
He then gave them to Gu Xiang to put them together.
Episode 7
I am not sure about the translation of names here but the woman with long white hair presiding over a council with the List of the Unfaithful was called Tragicomic Ghost of Mount Emei Sect. 😜
Anyway, Tragicomic Ghost first case was Mu Yun Ge of the Broken Sword Manor versus the ghost of Mo Yan Wan of Most Emei Sect.
Apparently, Mu Yun Ge promised eternal bliss to Mo Yan Wan to get into her knickers but after she got pregnant, he cast her away so Mo Yan Wan killed herself and her baby.
The Tragicomic Ghost said that since he promised Mo Yan Wan an ever after relationship, Mu Yun Ge was forced to marry the Mo Yan.
Then there were 10 fighters from the Yueyang Sect. They were put inside a ring and they had to fight and kill each other until only one is left who will be forgiven. But by the looks of it, they ended all dead.
Cheng Li overheard the Second Brother and the Fifth Brother that Cheng Li is a very unsuitable heir to the Five Lakes Alliance.
Second Brother said that they had to give the boy a chance because he was still mourning and pretty shocked about the death of his family.
Zishu continues to shadow Cheng Li to make sure that he is well-taken care off. He was reassured that Cheng Li was in good hands but then he noticed a guard outside who seemed to be sending a signal to someone.
He noticed someone doing the same signal. Zishu followed him, at first he thought that the man was from Window of Heaven. He ended up killing the man when Kexing suddenly appeared and told of Zishu for being barbaric. So different from Kexing’s philanthropic character.
Anyway, after their flirting, Kexing said that the man Zishu killed looked like he was a member of the Scorpion Sect, the second biggest assassins next only to the Window of Heaven.
Anyway, the two ended in a resto-pub for some dinners and drink.
They noticed that Gu Xiang was on a date with a young scholar, Cao Wei NIng.
Kexing went to see them and put the fright on the young scholar, especially when he heard that the scholar rather looked down on Gu Xiang when he found out that Gu Xiang is Kexing’s maid.
He told the scholar to disappear.
Gu Xiang then noticed that Kexing was also on a date with someone very handsome but very familiar looking.
She realised that it was Zishu. She started fondling his face and Zishu was quite happy for her to do so until Kexing removed her hand and remarked to Zishu that how come Gu Xiang can touch his face but he would not allow him to.
Zishu said because Gu Xiang is a cute girl.
Anyway, they noticed that the scholar did not have money to pay for the date.
Gu Xiang said that she has money but Kexing behaved like the wife of Zishu.
Kexing asked Zishu to give him Zishu’s wallet. They flirted back and forth until Zishu gave him his wallet. Awww. They are so cute.
Episode 8
Cao Wei Ning became the ticket for Gu Xiang to enter the Yueyang Manor.
Upon learning that Cheng Li was being taken to the monument of the Five Lake Alliance by Chevalier Gao, Gu Xiang went to Kexing immediately to tell him the latest. She added her concern that it was pretty late in the afternoon to go traipsing in the mountains.
This was all Zishu needed to hear. He went haring off in pursuit and followed attentively by Wen Kexing.
They were just in time to see that the Five Lake Alliance was surrounded by Window of Heaven army who were armed with sophisticated crossbows.
The Window of Heaven was demanding the surrender of Cheng LI.
Chevalier Gao refused and was preferred to fight to the death if Zishu did not take that time to run in supersonic speed which distracted the Window of Heaven soldiers while Kexing was able to snatch their leader by the throat.
The leader was Han Ying who recognised Zishu immediately and was in awe.
Han Ying owed his life to Zishu and was loyal to him and when he learned that Cheng Li was a disciple of Zishu, he promised to protect the boy as well but secretly.
When they were left alone, Zishu thanked Kexing for his part.
Kexing could not help but asked Zishu who he is to to him.
Zishu said that Kexing was a good friend.
Suddenly, Kexing went flirty and asked only friends? He mentioned that he had saved him several times already and surely they are now more than friends.
Zishu just left Kexing who said to himself that Zishu is his soulmate.
The next day, they met Chevalier Gao and when they asked him if they could visit Chengli, they were told that Chengli was under the weather.
Episode 9
Kexing invited Zishu to have a drink under the moonlight. So they flew into the rooftop and enjoyed a bottle each. It was a rather convivial evening until fighting commenced from the street below.
Zishu saw that martial artists are fighting and ended up killing each other and later noticed that it was because of the same piece of the Glazed Armour that he gave Kexing.
Kexing laughed it off which made Zishu abhorred him a little bit.
Kexing and Zishu saw many side attractions to the forthcoming Heroes Conference held at Yueyang.
Zishu mentioned that only those who wanted to be heroes are those who are unqualified to be heroes because real ones know that being a hero knows the tragedy of it. It is a bloodbath involving oneself and those who get killed.
They saw the legendary quartet of the Sages of Anji. These martial artists were soulmates who chose to leave the arena and live in a secluded part of the country. They were happy and contented and would only surface into town once in a while like the Yueyang’s Heroes’ Conference.
Then Kexing was a witness when the four sages became victims of the greed of men. To get their Glazed Armour, the three were killed one by one by marauding sects. The fourth one was so aggrieved he killed himself.
Kexing realised what he had done. After all, he was the one who saturated the area with his fake pieces of the Glazed Amour that made ambitious people kill or be killed.
Cheng Li was a victim of bullying at Yueyang. He was being beaten for just being there during basic martial art exercises.
Kexing implied that he was going to die within three years.
Episode 10
Zishu found Kexing burying the Four Sages of Anji.
Zishu asked him if he was happy now that these exemplary people were dead because of what Kexing did. Was is worth it?
Kexing asked him back if he had only ever killed bad people. Kexing felt his own guilt remembering a little girl being a victim of a massacre perpetrated by the Window of Heaven which was led by him, then there was the princess, etc.
This conversation affected them both. Zishu was mulling over what he previously thought that Kexing was his soulmate; he told himself that he was obviously wrong. He said he will die soon anyway.
While Zishu was drinking alone and getting really sozzled, Kexing was also drinking with the ladies or rather he was getting the ladies drunk while he remained sober.
They are obviously missing each other but they both let their pride run riot.
Cheng Li was immediately engaged to the daughter of Chevalier Gao. The girl told his father that she does not want to marry the kid because he doesn’t even like her.
Chevalier Gao said that marriage is decided by parents.
Kexing went really gorgeously and sexily badass. He is the master of the Ghost valley and was presiding over the ten ghosts including Tragicomic ghost, Black Grim Reaper and White Grim Reaper, who he throttled to serve as an example that he, Kexing, cannot be trifled with.
Episode 11
Cheng Li received a letter which was seemingly from Xu or Ah Xu (Zishu) instructing to meet up at 11pm at the North Garden.
So under the cover of darkness, Cheng Li went out but was seen by one of the stewards of the manor.
Cheng Li said that he was starving and looking for the kitchen for some nibbles.
He was told to go back but thankfully Gu Xiang turned up and did a neck pinch to the steward who fell to the ground.
Cheng Li quickly explained about his letter from Zishu. Someone did turn up but it was not Zishu. It was a woman of the four assassins aided by Qin Song, the Phantom Musician.
The woman was too good, even for Gu Xiang. The woman was able to spirit Cheng Li away which was seen by a drunk Zishu, who was feeling very sorry for himself.
Zishu flew to follow to woman and Cheng Li.
Soldiers from the Chengwu Palance saw Kexing and told him that Cheng Li had been abducted by assassins with the Phantom Musician.
Kexing did not waste any more time. He flew to follow the musician and killed him after he found out where Cheng Li was taken.
Kexing then threw the body of the musician to the two women assassins who had tortured Cheng Lin by waterboarding.
Kexing saw Zishu all spent, beaten up, and ready to fall.
Kexing went mental and prepared to destroy anyone who had hurt Zishu but Zishu stopped him as they needed to get Cheng Li to safety.
They stopped in the forest and had a lovely barbecue. They then quizzed Cheng Li about why he had been abducted.
At last, he confessed everything. He told them that his father did not trust the Five Lakes Alliance so his father embedded the piece of Glazed Armour into Cheng Li’s stomach.
Cheng Li said that Zishu could take the amour from his tummy but Zishu said to keep it for now.
They then asked if he knew any more information.
Cheng Li said that the Five Lakes were never interested in him personally as well as taking revenge for his family. All they wanted was the Glazed Armour and make him an excuse to hold the Heroes Conference. He continued that he was given a letter which he hid under the Buddha at the abandoned temple. His father told him to deliver the letter to Elder Changming Sword Immortal.
They then asked Cheng Li the gist of the letter.
Cheng Li said that it talks mainly about the five brothers of the alliance: Gao, Shen, Zhang, Lu and Zhao and how they fought and lost against their old friend Rong Xuan.
Apparently, Rong Xuan went evil because he was betrayed by his friends who put poison on one of their swords which drove him absolutely crazy that other martial artists started fighting with him. None of his five friends came to his aid.
Cheng Li ended his narration by saying that the poisoned sword belonged to Chevalier Gao.
It looks like Rong Xuan might have been Kexing’s father because he was especially upset.
Cheng Li noticed the distance between Kexing and Zishu so he asked they if they were having a domestic.
The two told him to shut up. Then Zishu started coughing. Kexing moved behind him a gave him some of his qi energy which eventually made Zishu calm down from his nail torture.
And everything is once again well in their world for two. LOL. Aww
Cheng Li said that what he really wanted was to learn martial art and he would like Zishu to teach him.
Zishu said that he had to know him first before Cheng Li pledges his loyalty to Zishu.
Zishu confessed that he was from the Window of Heaven. He created the group and basically killed every one of the 81 members himself because of his negligence. He said that he knew about the Scorpion Sect because he had a few conflicts with them.
Cheng Li said that the first time he saw Zishu, he saw Zishu as his master.
Episode 12
Zishu advised Cheng Li to give his piece of the Glazed Armour to Chevalier Gao.
This shocked Cheng Li because he felt that he was betraying his father and what entrusted to him.
Zishu asked him which is more important the Glazed Armour or his life?
Cheng Li immediately said that it was the Glazed Armour.
Zishu told him that there in nothing more important than life itself. Cheng Lin’s father did not cling to the importance of the Glazed Armour but rather to the brotherhood, otherwise he would have done something about the Glazed Armour twenty years ago.
Kexing said that he knew the origin of the Glazed Armour.
Rong Xuan, known as the Death Sword came out of nowhere. He has a theory that all martial artist came from the same source and therefore if you pool together their strength and knowledge, they could create an unprecedented mastery of martial art. This was twenty years ago.
But Rong Xuan wanted a total perestroika of the thousand of years tradition of Martial Art. He started searching for the X-files by whatever means. This obsession drove him crazy that his long-suffering wife, a master healer, had to rescue him from death.
But he descended into madness, however he was still able to find all the secret files. Rong Xuan created the World’s Armoury in a hidden location and the key broke into five pieces.
The Five Lakes Alliance then held a conference where they invited heroes to kill the madman Rong Xuan.
Rong Xuan killed them but realised that he was tired of it all and killed himself in despair.
Cheng Li said that Kexing’s story was different from the norm.
Kexing said that because was he told was the story of Rong Xuan (his father?) and not the end of the Martial Art world.
Anyway, they advised Cheng Li to go back to the Yueyang Sect.
When Kexing and Zishu took Cheng Li to the gate, they looked at the boy wistfully as if bringing their own child on his first day of school.
Zishu teased Kexing that he looked like a mother worrying for his child.
Zishu and Kexing then became inseparable and doing a pub-crawl.
Cheng Li removed the glazed armour piece from his tummy which he then gave to Chevalier Gao who was so pleased.
Gu Xiang went to see Kexing and Zishu.
Zishu told her that she doesn’t have to return to Yueyang manor anymore as she had done her job. She was rather reluctant and they found out why when Cao Wei Xing turned up.
Cao Wei Xing said that he would like to look after Gu Xiang and then he then said that his master knew of medics who could cure the terminally ill Zishu.
Zishu refused the medical help because he would rather travel with his soulmate for his remaining years rather than hope that he will be cure.
Episode 13
Cao Wei Xing was feeling romantic after realising that Kexing was the soulmate of the dying Zishu. He told Gu Xiang that his master once told him that he had never married because he had not found ‘the one’. However he is pretty sure that Gu Xiang was his ‘the one’ the scabbard to his sword. Awww that is really romantic.
Anyway, Ke Xing and Zishu are now more or less a couple and admitted to each other that they are each other’s soulmates.
Ke Xing found Zishu putting on a facial disguise once again which KeXing did not approve of. He said that Zishu was perfect in his natural state.
Zishu said but not as handsome as Ke Xing.
Ke Xing was over the moon and asked Zishu to confirm that he found Ke Xing handsome. Aww they were drooling at each other and me at them. LOL
Zishu asked Ke Xing if his real name is Rong, son of Rong Xia?
Kexing said he was not.
Anyway, Zishu said that he was putting on a disguise so he could check on Cheng LI because it was strange that Chevalier Gao had not announced yet that Cheng Li had surrendered the Glazed Amour to Gao Chong.
Zishu disguised himself as a steward at the Yueyang manor. He found Cheng Li who told him that he was going to be married off to Gao’ daughter in two years time.
Cheng Li was concerned that if he leaves after the announcement of his engagement to the Gao girl, that the girl would suffer. The Gao Girl had only been kindness to him.
The conference was getting nearer and more and more guests are arriving including a very handsome man in flowing white robe. He was Ye Bai Yi, the swordmaster.
Chevalier Gao was impressed how excellent Ye Bai Yi’s martial arts when he looks so young.
Apparently he was not so young because, Zishu found out later that he was the one who gave Zishu’s master the wraparound sword that he was given by his master.
Ye Bai Yi seemed to know a lot about Zishu and even said that he was a way of curing him.
Zishu was not interested by being cured so he was stopping Ye Bai Yi touching him and they were flying romantically over the bridge.
At that exact moment, a rather jealous Kexing turned up and he started fighting with Ye Bai Yi to stop him from fighting with Zishu.
Episode 14
Ye Bai Yi and Kexing had a beautiful prolonged fighting scene. Ye Bai Yi was stronger and told Kexing that he could kill him in ten moves.
Kexing told him that he could kill him in ten years.
Anyway, Zishu got fed up of watching them fight and stopped them.
Ye Bai Yi tried to open Zishu’s hanfu to see his chest but Kexing stopped him. Then when Kexing found out what Ye Bai Yi was doing it for, He tried to open Zishu’s hanfu as well.
Zishu complained that now he knew how a woman feels.
And then the two tried to open his hanfu at the same time.
Zishu told them to stop. He told them what would people say if they saw two men trying to undress another man on the street at midnight.
Anyway, Kexing was really shocked when Zishu gave up and finally allowed him to see his bare chest and saw the nails.
Ye Bai Yi knew what it was.
They asked him if he could cure Zishu.
Ye Bai Yi said that of course, he can even bring a newly dead to life.
Anyway, he said he can give Zishu a minimum of another ten years to live but he had to disable Zishu’s martial art.
Zishu suddenly lost interest. He told Ye Bai Yi that he will think about it.
When Zishu was alone with Kexing, Kexing did not lose any time in asking Zishu what is there to think about.
Zishu said that without martial art, he might as well be dead.
This really upset Kexing, who told Zishu that the world is so vast, he will travel with Zishu to find ways to resurrect his martial art.
Zishu however was not interested.
Kexing asked him how much time has he go left.
Zishu told him two years at the most.
Kexing was heartbroken. He was like a lost soul that when Gu Xiang reported that the Ghost Valley had been ransacked any the most of the ghost maidens had been killed and Tragicomic Ghost had been abducted, Kexing was uninterested. Instead, he told Gu Xiang that Zishu has only two years to live.
It turned out that Tragicomic Ghost was a former girlfriend of Zhao Jing, who betrayed her. When she entered the Ghost Valley she had to drink the Water of Lethe to erase her memory.
The Heroes Conference had started but not how Chevalier Gao had wanted.
Episode 15
It was chaos but Chevalier Gao managed to put everything under control by declaring that he was to retire after everyone had helped him vanquished the Ghost Valley with the help of everyone. He said that Five Lakes Alliance would not be able to exist at the same time as the Ghost Valley.
He asked everyone, enemy or foe, to stand with him so there will be peace in the land.
Most agreed with him including Zishu in theory.
Zishu noticed that Kexing was almost catatonic with rage and said that everyone of the fighters are inhumane.
Again Zishu asked Kexing if he was the son of Rong Xia.
Again Kexing denied it and said that he had never lied to Zishu.
Episode 16
The Heroes Conference ended in a complete bloodbath when most of the invited guests, incited by the leader of the Beggar Gang, turned against Chevalier Gao and blaming the Five Lakes Alliance for all manner of atrocities.
Chevalier Gao, however, offered himself to fight against any one of them to clear his name because he said he had nothing to hide.
Everyone fought against him. He was aided by the Fifth Brother Shen Shen and his military but Second Brother knelt down before the leader of the Beggar Gang asking him to spare Chevalier Gao. They will surrender the Glazed Armour but they must not kill Chevalier Gao. He will take Gao Cheng to a monastery where he promised to spend the remaining days of their lives.
Chevalier Gao forbade the Second Brother from begging. He took the Glazed Armour and crunched the pieces into uselessness. But seeing that the Five Lakes Alliance was over, he killed himself.
The thing that made me happy during this battle was that someone killed the annoying midget that sits on the shoulder of an equally annoying man. Yipeee
The Beggar Gang leader had told his two cohorts that the Glazed Armour was gone forever.
No, it is not. Knowing that there will be trouble during the Heroes Conference, Chevalier Gao gave the Glazed Armour to his closest friend, the leader of the Gentle Wind Sword Sect.
Zishu managed to rescue the heartbroken Cheng Li with the help of Kexing.
They took refuge in a cave where Ye Bai Yi found them.
Zishu rather suspected Zhao Jing, the Second Brother of a hidden agenda. He should have supported Chevalier Gao to the bitter end but he played like he was downtrodden and very sorry for what the alliance had down.
They were correct to suspect because the Second Brother is the father of the Scorpion King.
Shen Shen left the manor to look for the kidnapped Xiao Lian.
Episode 17
Gu Xiang can’t help but get closed to Cao Wei Ning who was saved by Master Yu of Mount Hua Sect, aided by Qian Qiao.
Meanwhile, poor Cheng Li had started training with three masters, Zishu, Kexing and Ye Bai Yi.
Kexing was like a mother hen trying to protect Cheng Li from the brutality of the training Zishu was putting the boy under. But Ye Bai Yi was not helping and encouraging Zishu to be stricter.
Because of this, Kexing became rather quiet which puzzled Zishu and thought that Kexing was behaving like a wronged wife.
Meanwhile the Scorpion King was busy recruiting members of the Ghost valley while Zhou JIng, who is now known as Chevalier Zhou tried to resurrect Five Lakes Alliance in his own way.
Those sects who tried to leave were given an offer they can’t refuse.
Episode 18
Zishu, Kexing and Ye Bai Yi with Chengli carrying the brat Long Xiao in a rattan woven basket on his back proceeded to Longyuan to find the Longyuan Cabinet that his all the secret of immortality.
They came across a bridge which leads to Longyuan.
Ye Bai Yi crossed the bridge with no problem so Zizhu, Kexing and the heavy laden Chengli followed. They were midway when the bridge collapsed after Kexing stepped on some sort of mechanism.
The brat Long Xiao fell out from the basket into the abyss bellow immediately followed by Chengli. Both Zishu and Kexing flew down after him. They managed to catch and throw Chengli up towards Ye Bai Yi.
Zishu and Kexing fell into the deep abyss.
Kexing woke up cradled in Zishu’s arms.
Zishu transferred to Kexing some of his qi energy.
They found themselves stranded on top of a rock in which below it were the living dead: zombies and mummies.
They quickly found out these beings were creation by the brat Long Xiao who appeared in his wheelchair on a crevice above them.
The brat taunted them that his ‘kids’ are very hungry.
Between Zishu and Kexing they managed to fell down all the ‘kids’
They got away and ended in a meadow. It looks so lovely and green that Kexing said they landed in Xanadu.
They saw a farmer leading an ox. They hollered to him but he did not hear so they went near him and found that he was not human but a puppet. A Pinocchio who when they touched exploded. They were lucky to getaway.
They started flirting when Ye Bai Ye appeared and told them to stop because Cheng Li is missing.
Ye Bai Yi sort of lost Chengli who fell when the floor underneath him opened up.
He rolled and rolled until he ended up in the underground and nasty brat Long Xiao was there with his two minions who ordered that they take out Chengli’s eyeballs.
They inserted a needed on top of his head. A minion was only a few inches away from plucking his eyes when both KeXing and Zishu fell from the ceiling of the cave.
Kexing and Zishu beat up the minions as well as the nasty brat Long Xiao, who was enraged because they were killing all his kids.
As they left the cave a puppet replica of the brat Long Xiao appeared. They seemed to instinctively know that the puppet is a goody, an antithesis of the brat. The puppet gave them a detailed mao of the underground. It then led them into another mouth of a cave that stunk. Still they went in and found a man tethered in chains.
Zishu recognised him as Long Que, the great Long Que, the architect of the Lonyuan cabinet.

Episode 1
I love this drama so much I binged watched it and had no time to make my summary. I supposed I have to go over each episode all over again.
Guan Xiaotong and Neo Hou had a lot of chemistry. They were so stunning together. They are very suitable for their respective roles especially Guan Xiaotong as a confident opinionated, spoilt, devil-may-care kinda girl, Ban Hua.
Ban Hua belongs to the two richest and most powerful families in the kingdom. Ban Hua is a favourite of the Emperor, her grandma is the Princess Royal who the Emperor owed a great deal to..
Anytime the Bans get into some scandal the Princess Royal was there to smooth it out. Ban Hua herself is the noblest girl in the kingdom having been conferred as a baroness by the Emperor.
Ban Hua’s family was preparing for her wedding to Xie Qi Lin. Amidst the hectic atmosphere, Ban Hua fell asleep and dreamt of her fiance dumping her and eloping with a girl from the brothel. Also, her dream ended with a different groom.
Ban Hua felt that the dream was so real.
She went looking for Xie Qi Lin and sure enough, he was with another girl and said he does not want to marry Ban Hua. She was so annoyed she chased them all over the city street until she noticed a guy looking exactly like the groom in her dream.
Episode 2
Ban Hua dreamt again and this time of Rong Xia. She saw him draped by a polyester curtain, lol.
She thought that she could convince her mother of her dreams coming true if she could prove this could happen.
And it did happen.
Ban Hua told her family that Xie Qilin will become blind in one eye.
Ban Huai and Ban Heng went to find out by climbing the Xie manor wall to spy on Qilin who was with a woman giving him a manuscript.
They saw Qilin falling over and catching his eyes on something while he was reading the manuscript.
Ban Heng was so surprised he fell down.
The Xie blamed him for Qilin blinding his eye.
Poor Ban Heng was put in prison and Shi JIn was investigating.
Shi Jin started stuttering when he was near Ban Hua, who thought that he had grown more handsome.
Meanwhile, Ban Hua was stalking Rong Xia in order to convince him to help her brother. He promised he would but Ban Hua did not trust him.
She went to sneak at the Xie manor to confront Qilin, who was rather cute. She told him that if her brother really did him wrong then tell the truth. She will not cover for her brother she then gave him a letter from Rong Xia, who also sneaked into the manor.
OMG, Guan Xiaotong and Neo Hou got more than their fair share of good looks, I must admit. They are both works of art.
Episode 3
Qilin did not want to implicate Fei Xian so he told the truth that he tripped on his own feet.
Ban Heng was vindicated.
Ban Hua dreamt that there was going to be a new emperor but could not be sure whether he was the crown prince of the second prince. She also dreamt that their family will be in trouble and all their properties will be confiscated.
The family plotted what they needed to do. One is to bury their treasure for future use.
With this in mind, Ban Hua and Ban Heng went to bury a chest of money and jewels in the forest in the dead of the night.
Rong Xia found them and they told him that it was a game between Ban Hua and Ban Heng to bury treasure and then find it.
Rong Xia had secretly ordered his guards to dig up what was buried and if the content was anything but treasures, he ordered his men to kill Ban Hua and Ban Heng.
Ban Hua was trying to seduce Rong Xia and was doing everything to attract him. Ban Heng was helping her to find out what Rong Xia like.
Fei Xian tried to set Ban Hua by telling Xie Wan Yu that Rong Xia loves skating the most.
Wan Yu delivered this information to Ban Heng.
Episode 4
Ban Hua took Rong Xia skating. She immediately realised that he really can’t skate and started teaching him.
They had a great time until Rong Xia went to the thin ice and fell into the pond beneath.
Rong Xia was so overwhelmed that Ban Hua saved his life.
He was beginning to be attracted to her but stopped himself because he does not want any destruction for his mission to avenge his family.
Meanwhile, the Second Prince was heavily castigated by the King for saying that he will never marry anyone from Daye except for Fei Xian.
The King slapped him and put him under house arrest. He said that he cannot allow the Crown Prince and the Second Prince to both marry into the Shi family because they will become too powerful and will be a threat to him and the Crown Prince when he ascend the throne.
A young poor scholar was thrown out of an inn/restaurant because he objected when the men started talking about Ban Hua being a jinx that is why she can’t get married.
Ban Hua saw him being pushed on the ground and took him back to the inn to tell off the men.
The scholar Shen Yu then started stalking Ban Hua. He asked Ban Huai for permission to marry Ban Hua.
He was becoming a pain to the Ban family.
Episode 5
Thinking that it would be impossible to achieve, Ban Hua’s mother told Shen Yu that they will allow Ban Hua to marry him if he passes the Imperial examination as one of the top three.
Oops, he passed the exam and came third.
He was now strutting like a peacock as he will be married to Ban Hua.
Ban Hua found him weird and suspicious because she saw him searching their things.
Episode 6
Ban Hua confronted Shen Yu who was with another woman in the marketplace. She broke off their engagement but the vindictive Shen Yu snapped the jade token which shocked Ban Hua as the jade was precious to her father.
She ended up whipping him and got into trouble for it as it was against the law to hurt an imperial official.
Shi JIn and Rong Xia helped her clear her name and had Shen Yu punished instead.
Ban Hua was ecstatic later on because instead of being punished by the king, he upgraded her into a countess from being a baroness.
Episode 7
It was the annual hunting season.
The Second Prince had it in for Ban Hua, he took a chance to hunt her with his men during the hunting party.
Ban Hua was saved by Rong Xia by kissing her to keep her quiet.
The Second Prince arranged the assassination of the Crown Prince but Rong Xia’s guard got to the assassin first. Upon being found out, the assassin killed himself.
Meanwhile, the Second Prince snatched the bow the Emperor intended to give to the crown prince. It got to ugly so Ban Hua intervened. A drunk Rong Xia also intervened
The Second Prince challenged Rong Xia which Rong Xia accepted because he told Ban Hua that he does not like seeing anyone bullying her.
Unfortunately, Rong Xia was a novice at shooting arrows. Ban Hua, however, helped him and he got a bull’s eye.
At the game, the Emperor praised Ban Hua’s expertise in bows and arrows and said that it reminded him of his mentor, the Old General Ban. And as a homage to the old general he promoted Ban Hua into a princess status. She is now the Princess of Fule.
At the palace, the Emperor beat up the Second Prince and then had him under house arrest.
Ban Hua went to see the Emperor beg him to allow her to arrange the birthday celebration of her grandma, the Princess Royal.
The emperor said that the task is so big that he will assign Count Chenga’an to help her.
Before Ban Hua could leave the palace, she was accosted by the Second Prince. Ban Hua was ready for him because she remembered her dream of the one who will shoot her has a scar on his chest. She started pulling on the second prince clothing until he was left on his underwear only.
Count Chenga’an found them and started siding with Ban Hua.
I quite like the Second Prince, he is so evil but finds him very charming.
Episode 8
Qi Lin was regretting his decision of not marrying Ban Hua.
The Second Prince said that he will tell on Ban Hua to the Emperor.
Ban Hua said that was fine because the prince could just not insult her grandfather.
Ban Hua then made it look that the second prince beat her up when she went flying into the floor as the Emperor was just passing.
I love the characters in this drama. The Queen was brilliant, she knew her sons well and how sneaky her second son was and she was not spoiling him.
Ban Hua and Rong Xia started working together but seemed not able to agree on anything.
Meanwhile, Grandma Princess Royal warned Count Changa’an (Rong Xia) to stay away from the Bans.
Episode 9
Rong Xia managed to make the Princess Royal tell him why his family were murdered. She told him that it was all because of the Tiger Tally.
But she told him to stay away from Ban Hua and the Bans because they had nothing to do with the case years.
Rong Xia took his frustration out of Ban Hua and told her that he thought he was different from other girls.
It was the birthday celebration for the Princess Royal and she was no show.
The Emperor was getting worried.
The Princess Royal was in a coma. A doctor was called and inadvertently gave a poisoned tonic to the Princess Royal.
Rong Xia was a quick thinker and pushed the poison away and instead gave a tonic for the Princess Royal.
Despite, being upset with the Bans, Rong Xia ordered his men to protect them.
And Rong Xia had to protect them when during the party some people started making trouble accusing the Bans led by the Princess Royal of being corrupt.
The Yan boy fell in love with Ban Hua when she saved him from tripping.
Episode 10
Xie Chongjin was trying to convince Rong Xia to join forces with the Second Prince because the prince was the only that could reopen the murder case of Rong Xia’s parents.
Rong Xia said that he will think about it.
There was a house party at the Shi. Young people are invited. It was really a party to match up Rong Xia to Feishan.
The Crown Prince invited Rong Xia to tea so they can have a foursome tea party with the sisters Crown Princess and Feishan. Ban Hua, however, thought that she was invited too so despite being trying to be waylaid by Master Yan and Shi Jin.
At last, Ban Hua cottoned-on on what going on. Being a straightforward girl, she asked Fei Shan if she would marry Count Changa’an.
Fei Shan hesitantly said that there are knots to be tied. Ban Hua asked what does that mean but she turned to Rong Xia and asked him if he was prepared to marry Fei Shan. He looked at Ban Hua and said that the state his priority and has no time for marriage.
Ban Hua concluded by telling the Crown Prince that he was wasting his time match-making the two.
Master Yang though turned up and proposed to Ban Hua.
Ban Hua turned him down.
Episode 11
Master Yan would not give up. His mother went to Ban Hua’s house to forcibly propose marriage and would not take no for an answer.
It took the Princess Royal to drive her away.
But the Yans persevered and it got to a point when it became a problem for the Emperor as well.
The Emperor asked Count Changa’an if he likes Ban Hua but Count Changa’an said that he was busy with the state. The Emperor then asked Shi JIn if he wanted to marry Ban Hua?
Shi Jin said that he will do everything the Emperor wanted him to do.
This shocked Count Changa’an to the core.
When he saw Shi Jin next, they had a bit of word. Shi Jin told him that now that the Emperor had approved an engagement for him and Ban Hua, he hopes that the Count would now keep his distance from Ban Hua.
Rong Xia disagreed. He said that he had promised Ban Hua that he will always be there for her and protect her.
Episode 12
The Yans continues to harass Ban Hua to marry their son. But finally, this was sorted after Prime Minister Han was found to be corrupt. He was removed from his position and forbidden to continue their harassment towards the Bans.
Meanwhile, Ban Hua became rather closed to Shi Jin. She taught his the Old General Ban’s technique of Backstroke Spear.
Shi Jin went hunting and got fox furs and deer meat for Ban Hua.
She happily accepted them which made Rong Xia jealous and furious.
Ban Hua did not understand him but Rong Xia told her that she ignored his feelings by accepting love tokens from Shi Jin. He then recited a poem to her about lovers token of furs and hunting for his lady.
Ban Hua sarcastically told Rong Xia that he should know that she was not the kind of girl who is bookish and would know this poetry.
Rong Xia could not contain himself anymore, he kissed Ban Hua as the snow started falling over them.
Episode 13
The Princess Royal told the Emperor that she had lost the Tiger Tally.
The Emperor pretended to be shocked and commisserated with the Princess.
She then qualified that she lost the fake Tiger Tally.
The Princess Royal held a family dinner to which he invited both Rong Xia and Shi Jin. The two men started competing for Ban Hua.
But in the end, Shi Jin assured Ban Hua that he will not be like the Yan Boy. He will not force himself to Ban Hua but will show her his feelings.
Meanwhile, the Princess Royal once again dissuaded Rong Xia from getting together with Ban Hua. She commented to Rong Xia is Ban Hua would find out his real intention of getting to know her and her family.
Ban Hua can’t help but flirt with Shi Jin, who loves her more and more.
Another man came into the scene, he saw how Ban Hua kindly spoke to a young eunuch who accidentally bumped into her.
The man was Akeqi, Princeof Aipo.

Love this drama so much. I love Guan Xiaotong, I love her character, Ban Hua. Though Ban Hua is in love with Rong Xia, she still does her own thing.
If Rong Xia and Shi Jin were not enough, another man came along.
He was A Ke Qi, the prince of Aipo. He heard of the number one lady of Daye which was Shi Feixian. Then he saw Ban Hua looking so beautiful and being so kind to a child who bumped into her.
A Ke Qi thought that the woman merited her sobriquet of being number one lady of Daye.
It was the Emperor’s birthday which was attended by the prince of Aipuo. He gave a couple of large jade tiger carvings to the Emperor.
The emperor said that he likes the gifts very much. He asked the Prince what he wanted in return.
A Ke Qi said that he noticed the beautiful ladies of Daye but he wanted to marry the number one lady, Shi Feixian.
Actually, the Emperor did not have any problem granting his wish because it would solve his problem of the growing power and influence of the Shi.
All eyes were on A Ke Qi as he strode to Ban Hua. The Emperor was surprised and Ban Hua’s parents were shocked by another suitor.
Ban Hua told A Ke Qi that he had the wrong girl, the number one lady is Shi FeiXian.
A Ke Qi said that Ban Hua is prettier than Shi Fei Xian.
Ban Hua can’t help but smirk.
Anyway, as a party game, they played paintball.
It was Daye vs Aipuo.
A Ke Qi requested Ban Hua to be part of his team as they did not have enough.

It was a very tense game but one by one members from both teams were falling down. Ban Hua got the Second Prince and then the Crown Prince. The Second Prince shot the Crown Prince himself.
Then there was Shi JIn who had his sight on A Ke Qi. Ban Hua stood in front of A Ke Qi which made Shi Jin stopped but got shot by A Ke Qi. Then there was only Ake Qi, Ban Hua and Rong Xia.
Rong Xia found Ban Hua. He told her that he could never shoot her so she believed him. She thought he was going for a snog but as she closed her eyes, he marked her forehead with blue paint.
She was so annoyed but she saw A Ke Qi coming. She hugged Rong Xia and signalled A Ke Qi to shoot Rong Xia.
So Ake Qi’s team won and he said he owed the win to Ban Hua.
Ban Hua told him that she cannot consent to marry him because she already had someone in her heart.
AKe Qi said that it was ok but instead they will be a family, they will be a nominal brother and sister and gave her a beautiful dagger as a token. He told her that he will always be there if she ever needed him.
Episode 15
Rong Xia with guards searched the Princess Royal’s palace despite Ban Hua commanding him to stop. Instead, he put a sword against her next to tell her that he means business.
Ban Hua knew then that he would kill her if he had to.
A eunuch put a bracelet belonging to Rong Xia’s mother among the things of the Princess Royal. The bracelet was found and Rong Xia accused the Princess Royal of having something to do with the death of his mother.
The Princess Royal denied it of course but Rong Xia just went on and on until the Princess Royal started spewing blood.
Ban Hua really had it with Rong Xia.
The Princess Royal knew she was dying so she told her loyal lady in waiting to dress her as she was going to the palace where she was born and where she was going to die.
And it was there where she died at the hand of an assassin trying to save the king.
Ban Hua saw this happening in her dream and she raced into the palace where she was stopped by Shi JIn by hitting her horse. She tumbled down on the grown.
Shi Jin asked if she was alright but Rong Xia appeared out of nowhere telling her to trust him for one last time. He was going to bring her to the Princess Royal.
The Princess Royal was cradled in the king’s arms. The Princess told Ban Hua why she was wearing red. She then looked at Rong Xia and said that he must be Ban Hua’s husband. She made him promised to look after Ban Hua.
The rest of the Ban Hua turned up. Rong Xia asked the king to marry him to Ban Hua.
The King was like, seriously?!!! You would ask me to allow you to marry Ban Hua when her dead grandma is still in my arms?
Love this drama. I don’t know how to describe it but there is something really clean about it. LOL
Episode 16
Ban Hua started blanking Rong Xia. He was so surprised because she had always made no secret that she fancied him but when the King granted a marriage for with with Rong Xia, Ban Hua declined the marriage.
She said that she was not ready and she felt she had been unfilial to her parents and brother and so she had to make up for it.
Rong Xia started stalking her, well she was always at their family ancestral hall by her grandmother plaque, praying.
Rong Xia began to worry that Ban Hua was suffering too much, she does not it and it looks like all the happiness had been sucked out from her.
Rong Xia, himself was not eating also. He was advised that the best thing to do was to be upfront with Ban Hua. Confessed what really happened.
He told her that her Grandmother planned the whole thing to protect the Ban family as she was dying. The Princess Royal hired her own assassin. He also told Ban Hua the history of his family which was deeply connected to the Bans. It has something to do with the much sought after Tiger Tally, which can recall every single soldier who served under the General Ban to report back to work. The holder of the Tally will be the new master, no question asked.
The General had always had it and he was friend with the Rongs. So their foes assassinated Rong Xia’s father and older brother while his mother was given a choice of killing herself for the sake of her youngest boy.
After the death of his mother the emperor looked after him and Rong Xia was particularly closed to the kindly Crown Prince.
It was a bit strange that when Ban Hua first met Rong Xia during the first episode, she did not know him. Why is this? When she was in and out of the palace and quite close to her cousins the princes and princess.
Anyway, the dying Princess Royal gave the Tiger Tally to Rong Xia and made him promised to protect her Ban family.
After the confession, Ban Hua was still unmoved and told Rong Xia to leave.
Episode 17
Ban Hua dreamt that Rong Xia was killed by an assassin. She was so worried for him much more so when in the morning she heard that there was a death at the Rong Xia household.
Ban Hua did not stop to hear anymore. She rode her horse to Rong Xia.
She cried when she saw the coffin being taken out of the mansion.
Then, Rong Xia appeared. It was his butler who died and it was a suspicious death.
Rong Xia had a heart to heart talk with Ban Hua. He was able to make Ban Hua admit that she had to turn down his offer of marriage because she did not want him involved in her family’s trouble.
Rong Xia said that her family made him feel welcome and her family is his family and he will protect them every single day of his life.
She then fainted.
Awww. These two really is the most radiant couple in a historical drama. They look so fragrant. LOL. Love them.
On the balcony of Rong Xia’s place, he proposed to Ban Hua. She asked him when he first fell of her?
He said it might be in the bush when he suddenly kissed her to save her, or when he got drunk and she had to help him with the arrow, or when they were skating.
She then asked what would he do if her family meets some upheavals and she dies.
Rong Xia sincerely said that he will always protect her family and think only of her.
She teasingly said that if he dies she will definitely remarry.
Rong Xia was shocked and completely ignored the fact that she agreed to marry him.
They wore their red lover’s knot bracelet. They then become totally loved up.
Poor Shi JIn found out about the couple’s engagement rather suddenly when he encountered Ban Hua in a noodle eatery. He asked her why she was alone but Rong Xia appeared and said that he had ordered the dumplings. He then told Shi Jin that Ban Hua is now his fiancee.
Poor Shi JIn was heartbroken; it did not help when it rained heavily and he was so soaked.
When he got home, Feixiaan saw him. She went on and on about Rong Xia but he told her to forget about him because he is now engaged. But he would not tell her who Rong Xia was engaged to.
Feixian said that she won’t gve up.
She held a poetry recital and invited Rong Xia.
Ban Hua turned up. Feixian said that she did not invite Ban Hua.
Ban Hua said she came with someone and then Rong Xia was suddenly there saying that he thought he brings in his fiancee with him.
Poor Feixian.
Episode 18
Ban Hua tried to be more Rong Xia’s ideal by learning to play the zither. She was terrible at it but Rong Xia said that she was remarkable.
She practised all day until her family said for her to stop. She was making her father ill with all the racket she was making.
Rong Xia was just in time arriving and she was so annoyed with him for lying that she was good.
She then tried playing Go/chess with him. Again she can’t get the hang of it.
He tried to teach her painting but he made a mistake of mentioning Fei Xian who was the best in painting.
Ban Hua was annoyed but Rong Xia said she misunderstood. He was saying that Fei Xian was good at painting because she had studied it for over ten years and yet Ban Hua was showing so much promise as a painter in just one day.
They were so cute. Poor Rong Xia was so loving and walking on eggshells all the time so not to incite the rather prickly Ban Hua but then he thought he will not have it any other way. She was just too adorable.
Episode 19
Love this drama.
It was the wedding of the second prince and Xie Wan Yu. The Second Prince told Wan Yu that he did not want to marry her and Xie Wan Yu said that the feeling was mutual. She wanted a divorce.
During the wedding, the Empress tried to play matchmaker between Shi FeiShan and Xie Qilin but both declined. Xie Qi Lin said that he was in love with someone else.
Shi Feishan confronted Ban Hua thinking that she was instrumental in getting the empress to set her up with Qi Lin.
Ban Hua denied it of course but Feishan did not believe her and made it a mission to humiliate Ban Hua.
Ban Hua started feeding refugees with humble porridge.
Feishan thought playing a musical instrument to the refugees would make them stop queuing for food at Ban Hua’s stall but she realise people would rather have food than listen to music.
Feishan then served roast chicken.
Porridge vs roast chicken!
The refugees of course went for the roast chicken.
Episode 20
Ban Hua dreamt about her father being hurt by a flower pot. The family forced him to stay at home but he escaped.
Luckily, Ban Hua and her brother found him and were just in time to tell him not to move as they saw a flower pot being thrown on his head.
They got the assailant and named Fei Xian as the mastermind.
Episode 21
Fei Shan was arrested for having mastermind the attempted murder of Ban Huai. The person who accused her said that she gave him a pearl as payment for the deed.
Fei Shan admitted that the pearl was hers but she lost it when she was meeting someone.
She then presented a letter supposedly written by Count Changa’an for an assignation; telling her that she was the one he really loves.
Ban Hua was upset but she trusted Rong Xia.
Both Feishan and Rong Xia were thrown into prison.
The Crown Princess forced her husband to speak to the emperor to get her Feishan out of prison.
The Emperor was so annoyed he beat up the Crown Prince telling him that he was a prince of the state above being a husband. The Emperor was very disappointed that both his sons were unworthy to succeed him to the thrown.
Episode 22
Prime Minister Shi used his granddaughter to hide his corruption. So Feixian was arrested and banished to Xeishuan.
On the way to her banishment, Feixian and the troop guarding her were attacked by bandits which were engaged by Xie Chong Jin. He was hoping that Feixian dies so she won’t upset his sister’s marriage to the Second Prince.
Episode 23
Feixian was cornered by the bandits and would have died if Prince Akeqi, who was asked by Ban Hua to keep a lookout on Feixian, was not there in time.
Prince Akeqi paid someone to look after the comatose Feixian.
Meanwhile, the Second Prince begged the Emperor to bring back Feishan; he promised to be good and obey everything.
The Emperor told him that he is stupid and gave him a smack.
I love the Empress.
Rong Xia promised Ban Hua that he will never lie to her.
Xie Chong Jin reported to the Second Prince that Feixian was attacked by bandits. The prince warned him that if Feishan was hurt he will answer for it in a big way.
The fragrant Ban Hua and Rong Xia took their fostered boy, Zhou Shunzi, kite flying.
Rong Xia later warned Ban Hua that investigating his parents’ death might indirectly hurt her.
Ban Hua said that she is the toughest person in Daye so no one would dare to hurt her. But he should take care of himself instead. Awww
Ban Hua was heartbroken when little Zhou Shunxi was assassinated.
And the culprit was Prime Minister Shi and he made to pay for it because ironically the evidence for his downfall was found stitched on the clothing of the dead Zhou Shunzi. It was the evidence of his parents, which was written in blood, of Shi Chonghai’s corruption.
The Emperor gave him the death penalty.
Episode 24
Feishan finally woke up and got told that someone was paying her carer for her upkeep. She asked who was it but her carer said he did not leave his name but he was young and handsome.
Immediately, Feishan assumed that it was Count Changa’an.
The carer’s husband had taken a salacious fancy to Feishan and almost abused her but the carer turned up and blamed Feishan for being ungrateful and seducing her husband.
She then burned the husband and wife to death.
She went back to Deya and found her former house had been sealed so she sought the Second Prince.
Rong Xia confronted Minister Shi about the death of his father.
Minister Shi was very honest about it because he thought he was about to die by poisoning as Rong Xia brought him a cup of tea from the emperor.
He said that it was about the Tiger Tally. When the emperor ascended the throne, he wanted the Tiger tally but Old General Ban said it was lost.
Minister Yan acted without the emperor’s knowledge and poisoned Minister Rong, who was a great friend of the old General when he can’t help with the search.
Ministers Shi and Xie wanted nothing to do with Minister Yan plot. Minister Shi who was fond of the Princess Royal ran to her manor and told her not to eat her tea cakes because they had been poisoned. It was confirmed after testing it. Then the Old General died.
Rong Xia was very upset of what he learned because he remembers how much the Emperor looked after him after fostering him and became study partner for the first prince. The emperor treated him like one of his own and yet ultimately he covered up the death of his father.
Poor Rong Xia was suffering from depression and taking solace from alcohol, until his beloved Hua Hua (I just loved him when he calls her Hua Hua so lovingly and tenderly) decided to make him ginseng chicken soup.
He almost gagged but tried not to show it. She decided to make more for her family who told her never to attempt it again. She found out how rather horrible it was. Love her.
Episode 25
Feishan moved in with the Second Prince and Xie Wan Yu welcomed her friend.
Meanwhile, Rong Xia confronted the emperor, who told him the truth and the cover-up for the country.
He was so upset so he cut his robe in front of the emperor telling him that any relationship they had was over.
The emperor was left crying because he did care for Rong Xia.
Rong Xia later found out that the emperor was interested in his well-being the moment he was born. In fact it was him who gave Rong Xia his name.
Rong Xia gave the tiger tally to the crown prince to give to the Emperor.
The Emperor was very ill but issued an edict that Ban Hua and Rong xia should be married at the Moon Palace which was unprecedented and opposed by the two princes.
Episode 26
Because of the preferential treatment being given to Ban Hua and Count Changa’an, rumours started flying around that Count Changa’an is the Emperor’s love child.
Also, that he is Ban Hua’s toyboy or plaything. 😝
Xie Chonglin hired assassins to attack Rong Xia in the name of the Second Prince.
The assassins almost succeeded in killing Rong Xia if Ban Hua did not come to the rescue with her phenomenal whip skill. But there were so many assassins, though she was able to fight them off Ban Hua was hurt and left in a coma.
On that same thunderous night, Xie Wan Yu decided to spend the night at Feishan who was afraid of thunder. When she got to Feishan’s room, he found her canoodling with the second prince.
Wan Yu slapped her husband but Feishan knelt down and told her that she and the second prince are in love. They cannot help it.
Wan Yu said that Feishan had always told her that she was in love with Count Changa’an.
Feishan said that that was not true love.
Wan Yu ran off in the rain and ended up in a cave where she bumped into Ban Heng. They got chatted and spent the night in the cave.
The next morning, Wan Yu had made up her mind, she will divorce the prince.
Meanwhile, Feishan was being seen by a physician who said that she might be pregnant. Whoa, just one day after a night of passion and the doctor could tell she was pregnant?
Rong Xia went to see the crown prince regarding his attempted assassination and confirmed how hopeless, weak and ineffectual the prince was.
Episode 27
Shi Jin found out that Feixian is alive and back at Daye. He told her to go back with him but she refused.
Wan Yu asked the second prince for divorce but he locked her up instead because she was still useful to him.
Ban Hua continuous to be comatose. But she was dreaming of grandma telling her to get up.
Rong Xia was whispering that he was missing while she was incapacitated and told her that whether she wakes up or not he would stay with her forever.
She then woke up.
Feishan had completely changed much to the worry of Shi Jin and Suyue, the crown princess.
Finally, Rong Xia proposed to Ban Hua in a very romantic setting with fireflies, etc. He asked her to marry him and be his wife from that they.
Ban Hua suddenly remembered her dream and said “No”
Episode 28
Ban Hua found out the assassin price list. She is worth 5,000, Rong Xia was 3000, Shi Jin is 2,000 and Ban Heng was only a measly 100 and he was not happy about it.
Ban Hua, always the proactive sister 🙂 said that he wanted to increase the price of his life then he had to go on a mission with her.
They went to the Xie Manor and found Xie Chongjin paying the assassin. Ban Hua recognised the assassin as being the man who put her in a coma.
The man almost saw them so they moved fast only to bump into gorgeous Shi Jin who was sitting calmly on the wall as well.
He said that he followed them.
Ban Hua and Ban Heng with Shi Jin continued their conference in her bedroom but were interrupted by the arrival of Ban Huai with Rong Xia
Ban Huai was shocked to see her daughter harbouring another man in her bedroom when her husband to be is visiting.
Anyway, Rong Xia was not happy at first and told Ban Hua not to make a habit of it otherwise he will be waiting for her in her bedroom every night under their wedding. But he knew that Ban Hua, Ban Heng with Shi Jin had been investigating the Fude House, house of assassins.
They learned that the assassins will have a broad day meeting at the Yunxi Restaurant. So they prepared and had a mighty battle with the assassins.
The defeated assassins apparently had a rule of killing themselves rather than submit.
The man who masterminded the assassins was Xie Chongjin, who was assassinated.
Meanwhile, Feishan had truly become the consort of the second prince and playing him.
She was acting like a modest woman but she was working her own agenda. She found out that she was getting weaker and not pregnant and probably not ever getting pregnant because she had been drinking the tea Xie Chongjin told the servant to give to her.
Feishan told Wan Yu who was still under house arrest that she had begged the second prince to allow Wan Yu to go home to see her injured brother.
The emperor called Ban Hua and Count Changa’an to give them a superior house in the Capital as a wedding present.
Episode 29
During a court meeting between the Crown Prince, Crown Princess, Rong Xia, and Ban Hua, the crown prince announced that Feishan is back and residing at the second prince manor.
Ban Hua asked if the emperor and empress knew about it. The Crown Prince said that they were keeping it quiet.
Ban Hua said that Second Prince can’t be trusted and would only get worst. But the Crown Prince said his brother is a bit unruly but really a good boy.
Ban Hua said remember my word.
Ban Hua and Rong Xia went to see the wedding gift from the emperor. It was the Qinyu House which they renamed Baishou house which apparently means they can live together till old age.
Xie Chong Jin told Wan Yu to go back to the palace to her husband.
She was reluctant because he was openly living together with Feishan but her brother told her to get back in there because she was the only one now that their family could depend on.
She was deep in thought in the street when Ban Heng surprised her and told her to clear her mind by baking him cookies.
Softly and De
Princess An Le prepared a bachelorette party for Ban Hua and arranged all her male followers to attend, Rong Xia got to hear about it and went to get her.
Princess An Le whispered to Ban Hua that it is the time to see Rong Xia jealous so she played along and he was so jealous.
Feishan is inciting the Second Prince to usurp the throne.
The Crown Prince was told by his wife to be wary of the Prince Luo (second prince) who volunteered to help organise the farmers festival.
So the Crown Prince tried to butter up Ban Hua and Rong Xia but Ban Hua told the prince to cut the crap and say what he wanted.
He said that he wanted them to attract the sacrifice of the festival.
Ban Hua said that only married couple are allowed but the prince gave them a special edict from the emperor declaring them as official husband and wife.
Episode 30
It was the Farming Festival.
Ban Hua attended with Rong Xia which surprised Shi JIn as he did not know that the two had been granted a special married status.
Being in love with Ban Hua unconditionally, he congratulated them.
The festival started well, but during the vegetarian banquet, some pure orange juice was offered. It was a treat so Ban Hua drank hers immediately. She said it was not enough.
Hearing this, the Crown Prince offered her his glass of juice which she gladly took which made the Second Prince nervous.
Wan Yu noticed how nervous the Second Prince had become so she stood up before Ban Hua could take more sips and went to her and purposely bumping into Ban Hua so she drops the cup.
Rong Xia noticed how strange what had just happened. Rong Xia gave his juice to Ban Hua but before she could take a sip she started vomiting blood and became unconscious.
It was mayhem.
Ban Hua did wake up for a short period and had a talk with Rong Xia. It was simple but it caught me unaware and made me tear up a bit. She said to Rong Xia that if she dies she wanted him to find someone he truly loves and get married. She will give them her blessing.
Rong Xia told her to stop saying nonsense but in the end, he sort of half-agreed to humour her.
Then she fainted again and the Ban family doctor said that it would be up to fate for Ban Hua to wake again as she needed the antidote for the poison.
The king heard about Ban Hua’s condition and he vomited blood saying that he will be so ashamed to see his aunt and Old General Ban for letting them down.
Rong Xia went to Prince Luo to ask for the antidote but the second prince spoke person now is Feishan who told Rong Xia that she could give him the antidote but under two conditions. First, he had to break up with Ban Hua and her family and second Rong Xia had to help the Second Prince to ascend the throne.
Feishan reminded him that he has only 3 days to decide because the poison will kill Ban Hua in 9 days and 6 days had gone already.
Rong Xia went back to the Ban family and he had to tell them that he had let them down. He failed to get the antidote.
The family left Rong Xia to talk and say his goodbyes to the comatose dying Ban Hua.
Totally heartbroken, Rong Xia tore their marriage certificate and told Ban Hua that he will not see her again.
Ban Hua seemed to hear it as a tear fell from her eyes.
Episode 31
The Bans were shocked by the tattered pieces of Ban Hua and Rong Xia’s marriage certificate. Before they could really think about what had happened Ban Huai was called to the palace.
The Emperor was dying and called in Rong Xia. The emperor said that he was worried that the crown prince is too weak.
Rong Xia produced a testamentary edict where the Crown Prince will become the Vassal King of Shu, while the emperor supposed to have named the Second prince as his heir.
Everyone was in an uproar and even the queen who complained was arrested.
The Crown Prince was put under house arrest.
Feishan gave the antidote to Shi Jin to give to Ban Hua. Shi Jin was annoyed that Feishan had something to do with Ban Hua’s poisoning. Feishan denied it but told Shi Jin that Ban Hua has not much time to live without the antidote.
Prince Luo became the new emperor and make an example of the Bans, true to what Ban Hua has dreamt about.
Episode 32
The Ban’s property was confiscated.
Without money as the treasure that Ban Hua and Ban Heng had buried was taken out by Rong Xia and Ban Hua would not give him the satisfaction of begging for it.
So Ban Hua volunteered herself to lead the ward in the south.
Rong Xia disagreed to let her go to war but Ban Hua told him to mind his own business.
Rong Xia knelt down before Emperor Luo to beg him to be a part of Ban Hua’s expedition.
In the end he allowed Rong Xia but Ban Hua would not have so she asked Shi Jin’s helped to stop Rong Xia from. going with her.
Ban Hua realised that the army she would lead was inexperienced and in fact, they were a bunch of criminals.
Episode 33
Ban Hua is proving to be a capable general and she finally accepted Rong Xia as her adviser though she warned him that she is not Hua in the battlefield but General Hua, there is no place for romantic dalliance.
But Rong Xia later got jealous when they received a consignment of sweet potato from Prince Akeqi.
Meanwhile, the Bans were invited to the palace but they know it was by force so they scaped by pretending that they manor burn and with them in it.
Wanyu heard about it and realised that she was in love with him. She left the palace.
Episode 34
Wanyu was almost abducted by bandits but Wanyu found her.
His parents were at first worried that their son was in love with the Queen but they reasoned that love is love so they welcomed Wan Yu.
But their little cottage was found by the emperor’s guards so they had to get away again and somehow they ended up in the Xie Mansion. Duke Xie, the enemy of Ban Huai was very welcoming.
Wanyu and Ban Heng ended at Ban Hua’s HQ.
Ban Hua is having a problem with food supply and learned that there was a granary of food just outside their HQ owned by a rich merchant who adored his daughter who likes handsome men.
The handsomest was, of course, Rong Xia but she was not interested in him because she had heard how he dumped Princess Ban and that was despicable.
But then she saw Ban Heng and she liked him.
Miss Sun went to see General Ban and told her that she could give a whole granary of grains in return of her brother.
She then said her family had another nine granaries.
Ban Hua said she has a deal. She sold Ban Heng for ten granaries of grains. 🙂
Episode 35
Xie Chongjin found his parents giving haven to the Ban family.
He surrendered the Bans to emperor Luo, who held them hostage to get Ban Hua to return back to the Capital.
Episode 36
No one can stop Ban Hua to return to the Capital.
But as soon as she returned, she was drugged by the emperor through the pomander.
Feishan told the emperor to marry off Ban Hua to Shi Jin which would make Rong Xia heartbroken and would surrender the Crown Prince.
Shi Jin assured Ban Hua that he was so happy to marry her even if it is a fake marriage. Apparently, he fell in love with her since he first saw her when she was a young girl tagging along with Old Genral Ban. The young Ban Hua was so free and brave; braver than most men.
Shi Jin said that he will not force her to stay with him because he would always like to see her just like that free girl.
Episode 37
Ban Hua took Shi Jin in her arm with a dagger pointed on his throat. Ban Hua and Rong Xia then told Shi Chong Jin that it was over and if must surrender himself to the Crown Prince.
Shi Chong Jin though was a wily character and got away chased by Ban Hua and Shi Jin. The Prince Akeqi was also waiting.
But Chong Jin was clever with a powerful martial art that even Ban Hua was no match.
One of Chong JIn’s darts flew and scraped Ban Hua’s arm but enough for her to get poisoned (again).
She was put into prison.
Meanwhile, the new Emperor who led soldiers to get to where he thought the crown prince had been hidden found the place deserted. The escaping Feishan saw her grandpa died protecting her.
The Emperor was annoyed with Chongjin’s plan of attack but Feishan protected him.
Feishan visited Ban Hua in prison. Ban Hua must be the most fragrant and freshest-looking prisoner in a costume drama.
Feishan told Ban Hua that she now knew that Ban Hua had helped her once when she was banished in Xioushu so as a last wish before her death, she will grant it.
Ban Hua asked for her favourite fur coat in the mansion. She said that she would like to die in it.
When the fur coat materialised, Chongjin hurriedly told her to wear it because he will take her to the top tower.
Below were Rong Xia, Shin Jin, Akeqi, the crown prince and the soldiers.
Chongjin told them to surrender themselves otherwise Ban Hua was dead.
He started counting. Rong Xia had an arrow pointed at the top tower and remembered suddenly what Ban Hua had told him. She was wearing her fur coat and she will be shot by an arrow and die.
Rong Xia suddenly lowered down his arrow but also remembered Ban Hua telling him that he had betrayed the state because of Ban Hua by making the Second Prince to be the emperor. He must never do it again at all costs.
So he shot his arrow, unfortunately, straight to Ban Hua’s chest.

But it turned out that Chongjin has already made a deal with Ban Hua and Rong Xia so he made sure Ban Hua had been given the antidote and medication for later.
The Emperor and Feixian were expelled from the palace and the Crown Prince was now rightfully sitting on the throne but he has thrown a cat among the pigeon by announcing that he was abdicating in favour of Rong Xia as the next emperor.
This was out of the blue which shocked everyone but Ban Hua was enraged.
She and Rong Xia had already planned to retire for a quiet life in the outskirts of the city.
So Ban Hua let it rip. She told the new Emperor that she and Rong Xia and many more had fought tooth and nail to get the throne back for the emperor and then only for him to easily give it away. Ban Hua asked what was their sacrifices for?

Ban Hua had been elevated to Princess Changle.
It is the wedding. I just smiled all throughout this episode. It is the cutest though intrigues are still about to happen.
The Emperor and Suyue, the new Empress were having a bit of a domestic. Suyue was against the emperor abdicating. The emperor asked who or what does she love, being an empress or him? She just walked off but started plotting, including inciting Princess An Le against Rong Xia. She planted the idea that Rong Xia had planned to become the next emperor all along and would not stop until every single member of the royal family answers for the death of the Rong family.

Happy Ending.
Oh yes! Ban Hua and Rong Xia were on the final part of the marriage ceremony when hell broke loose because Rong Xia was poisoned.
The Empress reckoned that Ban Hua poisoned her own husband through her red lipstick. She then said that she will be upholding the law as the emperor is unwell, she then ordered her husband to be taken away.
Shi Jin heard about the empress commanding the arrest of Princess Changle. He stopped his men from pursuing Princess Changle.
The Empress then sought the help of Empress Dowager and Princess An Le to stop the Bans and Rong Xia from seizing the throne.
Their connivance was found out after they tried to have Ban Hua arrested.
Rong Xia, Shi JIn, and the emperor turned up.
For the first time, the emperor developed some backbone and ordered that the three women are arrested and put to prison.
Shi Jin spoke to Suyue, who was even more ambitious than their younger sister, Feishan. Suyue said that she will be the empress no matter what.
Shi Jin said that she will never be the empress now because she will be exiled. He added that if she was less self-serving and more devoted to her husband, there would have been no reason she could not be the empress.
Finally, Rong Xia and Ban Hua were on their own. Ban Hua said that her wedding was ruined and she wanted a divorce.
Rong Xia was shocked. He said that he could not help it. He had to right the wrongs for the state and the people and Emperor.
Ban Hua was not impressed but he kissed her and that stopped her moaning. They ended up in bed and Ban Hua said she must be on top.

The Second Prince is a reformed character, he regretted everything and now looking after chickens and ducks with Feishan.
Empress Dowager and Princess An Le had become nuns.
Rong Xia is Prime Minister.
Ban Haui and his wife moved to the outskirts of the town for a quieter life.
Akeqi was pursuing Bang Bang, Ban Hua’s assistant.
Du qui is now married to a pregnant Softy.
And Ban Heng runs a restaurant with his very pregnant wife, Wan Yu, who was about to give birth.
As to Ban Hua, she went to the temple to ask the monk about her dreams that come true. He said it has probably to do with her kindness of helping him saved the statue of Zhou Gong.
The monk said that there are bad dreams and there are good dreams. Reality can be changed.
Rong Xia is just happily waiting for her outside. Loving her only in this lifetime.
But wait, as to Shi Jin, he just noticed a girl, amongst the new army recruits, reminding him of his first love, Ban Hua. Awww nice that he had a happy ending as well as he was the nicest character in the drama.
What I love about this drama is not only because the cast suited their role but the closeness of the Ban Family is really appealing, thus I ended up rooting for them throughout the whole drama and did not want anything grim happening to them.
