Quick Precis

Apparently, Lu Wei Xun was a very precise wine critic endowed with an excellent sense of taste.

Due to accidentally kissing the happy-go-lucky bubbly He Bu Zui, he fantastically changed his sense of taste to her weak taste buds.

You can see a mile off of what is going to happen.  He would be dragging her everywhere he goes to taste wine on his behalf.

This is where the title would come into fruition, at first she would be tipsy to the point of drunkenness trying to taste the many wines she will be imbibing.

This would make for a cute drama, I can’t wait.

Episode 1

He Bu Zui was an alcohol drink hustler.  She makes a living drinking under the clock, a minute clock to be precise and she earns quite a lot from it as it seemed to fascinate people to watch a slip of a girl drinking shots of more than a dozen wine in under a minute.

She needed to earn money to pay her father’s debt from the moneylenders.

She was just about to go to another drinking bout when she noticed that her amulet got caught in a wing mirror of a passing car that happened to be driven by Lu Weixun.

Lu Weixun is a popular personality in China because he was the youngest member of the Wine Society Association (WSA).  With his youth, good looks and ability, he is adulated like a pop star.

Anyway, He Bui Zui run after the car.  In her desperation, she threw her mobile phone straight to his wing mirror which finally got his attention which made him stop.

They had a rather bitter argument about the damaged wing mirror and that she smells bad, smelt of alcohol.

Lu Weixun has the best nose, he can smell something a mile off and can tell the composition.

Anyway, He Bu Zui found her patronising and arrogant and can’t wait to get away from him.  She was standing in the middle of the road when a car would have plowed at her if Lu Weixun did not grab her.  They both flew into the air and ended up mouth to mouth or lips to lips.

After this, they both can’t get away from each other fast enough.

Lu Weixun proceeded to his engagement where he had to participate in a magic trick.

He had to guess three wines within a minute while a girl was doing a Harry Houdini, bound in a glass tank full of water.

It started well but he quickly noticed that his sense of smell had completely disappeared.  He was running against time to guess the three wines.

He failed, thank goodness the girl did not end up with the same faith as Harry. Houdini.  She was magically rescued somehow.

While this was going on, He Bu Zui was drinking wines, a lot of it within a minute. At first sip, she knew it was different.  She felt like she had gone into another dimension full of tastes and wonder.

She may have lost the drinking game but she had gotten a sense of taste and took full advantage of it.  She ate and ate and ate and would have eaten more but her stomach was full.

The next day, she went to the doctor about her stomach ache as well as her gaining back her sense of taste.

She was telling everything about it to the doctor when Lu Weixun passed by.

He grabbed her and took her outside.

He made her drink a bottle of infused water and told her to tell him how it tastes.

To his surprise, she told him precisely the composition of the taste like how he would have done it.

He told her to give what he had taken away from him.  He said that without it he was nothing.

Bu Zui thought he was talking about the first kiss…

He might have because he ended up kissing her to get his sense of taste.

Episode 2

Wen Xun found out that the return of his taste buds is only temporary.

But he can’t find Bu Zui and force her to work for him so he contrived to get her arrested by the police for thievery.

When Bu Zui got to the police station, she was so annoyed for the trumped-up charges Wen Xun lodged against her.

Even Wen Xun got rather embarrassed so he said that Bu Zui stole his heart.

The police told them to sign some documents and to bugger off immediately with their insanity.

Anyway, Wen Xun said that because of the drama of their tastebud swap she had to come work for him.

Bu Zui said that she would if he can pay her well.

Wen Xun said that he will draw a contract which he brought to her first thing in the morning.

He said that he will pay her 6000yuan per calendar month and for a duration of 336 months which equates to 28 year which by that time he reckoned he would be ready to retire.

It was actually a handsome remuneration so she accepted it as she did not have much choice as a loan shark had been threatening her and her father grievous bodily harm if they can’t pay their overdue loan.

Apparently her father used the loan to get her better.  He spent a lot of money on specialist after specialist to cure her taste bud anomaly.

Bu Zui was in the middle of signing her contract when the loan shark and his posse came barging in with wooden batons ready to break things.

Wen Xun took control and negotiated a fair payment schedule for Bu Zui, otherwise, he would get a lawyer to sue the loan shark and illegal practices.

After that, Bu Zui started working for Wen Xun which mostly involved lip-locking.

By the way Wen Xun does not get on with his father as he blamed him for his lack of care towards his dead mother.  His father was away when his mother died in the hospital right before his very young eyes.

Episode 3

Bu Zui got curious about Wen Xun. She found out that he was a babe magnet because of his good looks.  He came from a very affluent family.  He runs away from the family and was subsequently disinherited.

But being a sommelier seemed to pay a lot as he was doing alright for himself.

It was quickly noticed by Wen Xun that he could only keep his sense of taste after kissing Bu Zui for an hour to start with,

Then it became to minutes, then 40 minutes.

So the two went to the scene of their first encounter and did the things they could remember doing.  After this exercise, they were still none the wiser.

Anyway, since Bu Zui had an excellent sense of taste, she entered a taste test contest on tv,  She was doing excellent to start with but bummed out at the last and crucial portion of the program.

Having lost the sizeable prize money, she went drinking with her friend, completely forgetting that she was to meet Wen Xun at 10 pm that night.

She was in a barbecue place eating liver, gizzards, intestines, tec.  I must say it looked so tasty I suddenly crave some grilled liver.

Anyway, she was late when she realised the time.

Wen Xun had already left the book place where they arranged to meet.

She sent him a profused apology but he was really unhappy with her.

She woke up the next morning with Wen Xun watching television with her father.  They were watching the tasting contest which she participated in.

Wen Xun said that they had to rewrite her contract because she was absent yesterday.

He gave her longer hours with a higher salary and she had to act as a bodyguard for his tastebuds.  LOL

She had to work 16 hours a day which meant that she had to be with him all the time and to do that she had to move into his house.

Meanwhile, there was a person that they might both be reacquainted with in the future.

It was a bar owner who wanted to have a drink with Wen Xun.  The guy sounded like an old boyfriend of Bu Zui whom she had not seen for seven years.

Episode 4

Wei Xun woke up the next morning finding that the stray cat brought home by Bu Zui had made such a mess in the house and that it had tried to eat his goldfish.

He then found that Bu Zui is as messy as her stray cat.
