My Lovely Wonderful Wife and I arrived at the iconic O2 centre East London at 4.30pm. We had two hours before the concert to look around the O2 Centre
At 6.30 the doors opened we and thousands cascaded through into the vast arena. It was cooler than the near humid outside weather.
The support group, a trio of young ladies called ‘Stooch’ who had a hit record called Black Heart, where good at warming up the crowd before the main JLo event.
They had mentioned in an interview that they were hoping to meet JLo.
JLo, as a true superstar and diva kept us waiting for 45 minutes when her dancers resplendent in white top hats and tailed suits strutted their stuff. JLo appeared in white Russian fur hat and cape. JLo then raised the temperature and was all action with fun stage sets, lasers, dry ice mist and fire works and fast costume changes such as for Jenny on the Block. Her fans were legion dancing and singing.
We were sad when her act ended. Her encore was her signature hit ‘Get down on the floor’ sent audience & fans away happy.
We did enjoy the concert and it was great to see JLo, who now is more of an entrepreneur and successful actress than superstar of song and dance and sadly may not come this way again or any time soon. We are indeed lucky to have seen her.

This brings back memories of the 70s when life is more laid back; for me anyway. I was actually still a child. No worries about mortgage, money, food, etc. I was completely reliant to my hard-working father and mother.
Anyway, Dust in the Wind has such a lovely melody. It is somewhat bizarrely melancholic and yet the tune is rather hypnotically soothing. Strange that!
I think the 70s has given us the best music of all times. There are so many songs that you can relate to whatever your age.
All the fame and riches we aspire to in life, in the end will amount to nothing as we cannot take it with us as we are really just dust in the wind! How great is that? It really brings you to earth!

I remember reciting a more biblical version of this verse when we had our novena prayers every Wednesday night when I was still a child living in the Philippines. We used to play up a little bit and my mother would pinch us into attention. Hehehe, love those memories.
I woke up early this morning to read my emails and found this topic about Lara Bohinc’s perceived racism against a Filipino maid. I wonder, did the police interview Ms Bohinc about her comment? I thought racial discrimination in the United Kingdom is now illegal?
Who is Lara Bohinc?
I know that this topic might have been overblown but if we let Lara Bohinc get away with saying this things without qualifying what she meant, then we are acting complicit to her low opinion against maid and most especially the Filipino ones. Where is social equality?
Lara Bohinc should know that these Filipina maids are well educated women who for economic reasons have come to clean the world’s toilets. We do not need to add to their self degradation.

Lara Bohinc, who created the woven bracelet that Samantha Cameron gave to Michelle Obama during the
American president’s visit earlier this year, is not a fan of freeloading stars.
“I think celebrities should buy their own jewellery,” she declares at the Jurlique and Agua Spa luncheon at
the Sanderson hotel in London. “I don’t send stuff to anyone.
“Kate Moss asked for a belt once, so I gave it to her, but I had to say, ‘Are you sure she’ll be wearing it? I
didn’t want to see it on her Filipina maid.”
Of the wife of the Prime Minister’s purchase, she says: “It was an amazing surprise. Samantha Cameron’s
people came into the shop to buy it, but they didn’t say who they were, so I had no idea.”
