McDonald Vs Burger King

“After extensive late night straw polls, I can confirm that this is broadly true – and also that Beatles lovers like McDonald’s, whereas Stones fans favour Burger King.”

Interesting.  So Beatles fans, love yeah, yeah a mcDo whilst Stone fans get Satisfaction from a Burger King.

I must say Burger King has a better meatier, bulkier burger but somehow the pancake thin McDonald fills you up as well.

However Burger King and McDonalds have a serious rival with Gourmet Burger.  These burgers are really tasty and posh.  They come in different flavours of meat or even different meats.  You can have buffalo, venison, etc.  I love them.  They are such a treat.

Did you know?

The very first McDonald’s opened in Britain on 1st October 1974.

Hair Colour (Colouring Hair)

In a recent survey of 1000 women, it was found that 72 per cent say that they feel more attractive after they have coloured their hair.

Hair Colour (Colouring Hair)

Nowadays, it is usual to see women and some men changing their hair colours to suit their fancy.

It is said that blondes have more fun.  We can all find out if this is strictly the truth! 😉

Dyeing hair can be done in salon or at home as a cheaper option and yet as effective.

There are rules of thumb to be fallowed to prolong the new colour of the hair:

* After dyeing the hair, wait at least two days (48 hours) before washing and shampooing the hair.  Let the new colour settle first.

* Try to wash the coloured hair in warm water, rather than in hot.  The hot temperature fades the new colour quicker.

* It is best to use shampoos and conditioners which are especially produced for coloured hair.

* Using heated appliance to coloured hair should be kept in the minimum.

* When colouring at home, dress appropriately.  Wear old shirt as any renegade dye would surely stain your clothes and your skin.  Wash off immediately where it drips off on your skin.

*  Do not dye your eye brows at home as it may cause risk to your eyes.  Consult a professional.

* Wear a hat when out in the sun.

* Deep conditioning treatment for  the hair will keep the hair nourished and looking great.

The Love of Money is the Root of All Kinds of Evils

The Love of Money is the Root of All Kinds of Evils

Apparently, in a recent survey/poll, 50 percent said that £50,000 is enough to change their lives.

This reminded me of one episode of Deal or no Deal.

A contestant, who was a student, said that a £20,000 will greatly change her life.

Anyway, she had still the big prizes on her board. The banker offered her a deal of £26,000. But greed got the better of her. She turned down the money, much to her mother’s consternation and irritation who happened to be one of the audience.

The majority of the people wanted and advised her to take it but…..

To cut the story short, she ended up with just £750. She must be kicking herself for her greed.

Smelly Socks

My Englishman has so many socks, he had to change everyday.

He had a brilliant idea a few years back to just buy him black socks and get rid of the other colours.

This made everything easier as our washing machine seems to have developed an appetite for socks.  You put a pair or few pairs for a wash, and they come out of the machine pairless.  What was that all about?

Now with all black, you can mix and match and it doesn’t matter!

Ladies, buy your man socks.  Start getting them now for Christmas!  hahaha

French, Swiss men top smelly socks ranking: survey

When it comes to socks, one is more likely to find a French or Swiss man wearing a smelly pair than a German or a Brit.

A study by Swiss firm Blacksocks found that only 66 percent of Frenchmen changed their socks daily, while just seven in ten Swiss men put on a clean pair every day.

On the other end of the hygiene scale were German and British men, with 78 percent saying they put on fresh socks daily, according to the survey of 3,000 people across six European states.

Overall, 77 percent of women and men surveyed changed their socks daily, while 11 percent do so once every two days.
Four percent put on a fresh pair every three days, and one percent changed their socks only once a week.
The frequency of changing socks may be related to the number of pairs owned.

German men were found to be the biggest sock owners, with 24 pairs on average each. Austrians came just after with 23 pairs, followed by the Swiss with 22 pairs.

Frenchmen own the least pairs — just 17 on average each, the survey said, adding that it could explain why they kept their socks on for a longer time than other nationalities.
