Quick Precis:

The story will be about a kiss that changed the fate of an arrogant editor-in-chief and a young fashion designer.  His luck passed on to her, while her misfortune besets him after they accidentally kissed.

Sounds so good already.

Jerry Yan and Shen Yue showed an enormous amount of chemistry when they reenacted a scene from Meteor Garden.

Jerry Yan was Dao Ming Si, the lead guy, in the 2001 version of the Meteor Garden while Chen Yue was Shan Cai, the lead girl  in the 2018 version.

They both guested in Ace Vs Ace variety show and they had to play their respective character in the show and it worked beautifully.

They were so cute.

11 October 2019:  It is a wrap, people!

2 November 2019:  First trailer had been released.  It looks good, fresh, with gorgeous cast.  Leads have sizzling chemistry.  Can’t wait.

Rumour has it that this drama will be released on 3 August 2020.

Episode 1

Wow!  First episode delight!!!  It was such a treat, and this was only for the half-naked Jerry Yan in the bath.  What a physique!!!  Whoa!!!

Tong Xiaoyou had been so unlucky in life.  If it could go wrong, it would absolutely go wrong for her.  She does not get many breaks in life and she works three-four times harder than anyone else to get even the most ordinary things.  Because of her unluckiness, she even brings misfortunes to others.  She is a jinx.

Tong Xiaoyou had been working in the administration department for two years.  She was waiting for an opening at the design department, which she was told she would be considered if a position or slot becomes available and that was two years ago since she started at the admin dept.

As she can no longer wait, she took it upon herself to make the transfer happen.

She approached the legendary design editor, Lu Xing Cheng, to beg him to accept her at the Design.

Thinking that she was one of those autograph hunters, he quickly scribbled in her portfolio and proceeded to leave but she followed him explaining her real agenda.

But he was not interested.

In desperation, she pretended to her manager at the admin that her transfer had been approved by the main man himself.

The manager very pragmatically said that whether the signature was real or fake, she will suffer for her art.

The manager was quite right too because when Tong Xiaoyou excitedly went to work at the Design Department, she immediately noticed that it was peopled by pandas.

They have all black ringed tired eyes and getting abused for their lack of originality of design as judged by Lu Xing Cheng.

Tong Xiaoyou had wanted to be a fashion designer since she was 14 years old, and that was ten years ago, when she saw the Niki dress on display.

Lu Xing Cheng saw her design trying to capture the Niki dress essence.

What Tong Xiaoyou did not know was that the Niki dress was Lu Xing Cheng’s own design.

Lu Xing Cheng was rather impressed with Tong Xiaoyou’s attention to details so he said that she would be the one to represent their magazine to a design competition.

She did a very intricate design which is very structured at the same time. It was lovely and even Lu Xing Cheng said it was well made but the judges had been paid to bring down Lu Xing Cheng, who had been the fashion icon for six years so Tong Xiaoyou was awarded zero points by all of the five judges.

Was she upset?

Nope, she was radiant because the winner was Yu Yan Zhi with his version of the NIki dress.

Even the presenter told Yu Yan Zhi, that he was a proponent of copyism, which Yu Yan Zhi did not understand.

Tong Xiaoyou was so happy to see him, thinking that he was the man she met ten years ago who inspired her to be a designer.

But then entered Lu Xing Cheng who gave Yu Yan Zhi a great right hook, it ended in started a proper fisticuff.

Yu Yan Zhi plagiarised Lu Xing Cheng’s design.

Poor Tong Xiaoyou tried to act as a referee and she got push down into Lu Xing Chen who was already lying on the ground.

Episode 2

Yu Yan Zhi held Tong Xiaoyou back stopping her from falling completely into Lu Xing Cheng.

I must say Shen Yue has vastly improved in the acting department and she was even more beautiful than before.

These three leads are really bright and shiny.  Miles Wei is so fanciable and what can I say about Jerry Yan that had never been said before?!!!  I would also like to commend the costume/wardrobe department for this drama, they chose suitable clothes for Shen Yue.  She looks stunning. She was not drowned in many laces, ruffles and oversized tops with overlong sleeves. Her natural beauty shone.

Anyway, Lu Xing Cheng renamed Tong Xiaoyou, Olympics because of the 5 zeros she received from the competition.  He also made her the youngest assistant and had transferred her from Design to Editorial.

She was given so much work, she made a fatal mistake. She allowed a plagiarised material to be published.  The assistant editor was all for firing her but Lu Xing Cheng came to Tong Xiaoyou’s rescue.

Tong Xiaoyou did warn him that she was so unlucky in life, she was born unlucky and to prove it she got a tub of Buddhist sticks and she draws them one by one and she always got the short straws.

Lu Xing Cheng just laughed it off thinking that she was mad.

Tong Xiaoyou just kept making mistakes and she had a fainting spell as well due to low blood sugar, and every time Lu Xing Cheng was there to save the day until he asked her to take care of a necklace he forgot at the fashion set.

She promised to look after it but when she got back to the office she could not find it.  She went back to the set to look but it was not there.

She got so desperate she went to various shops to buy a replacement but it was not available and then her knight in shining armour suddenly appeared.  He said he could make it for her.

She was so happy that Yu Yan Zhi is being so helpful and so handsome as well.  She was halfway falling for him.

Lu Xing Cheng demanded his necklace back so she hurried to get the replacement one being made by Yu Yan Zhi.

She gave the necklace back to Lu Xing Cheng who seemed unimpressed.  He then showed her that he’s got his original one which he found on floor of his office.

He fired her for lying.  He said he can’t trust her and would not work with her.

Tong Xiaoyou was very upset.  She was drinking alcohol and staggering drunkenly when she came across Lu Xing Cheng who had also been drinking.

They got into a fight.  She insisted that she resigned and he said he fired her.  Because of the alcohol consumed, she was out of balance and fell on top of him and their lips touched into a kiss.

Episode 3

Lu Xing Chen and Tong Xiaoyou were found by a janitor the next morning under the cover of a jacket.  When he lifted it he found the two asleep and in a comfortable tight embrace.

The janitor took a photo and posted it immediately.  Dali was shocked and called his boss immediately.

Lu Xing Cheng woke up and saw Tong Xiaoyou next to him.  She woke up and climbed the wall overlooking the sea.  She said that she was going to commit suicide.

She then said to the gathering crowd that she was going to jump to her death and only Lu Xing Cheng can come near her.

He went immediately to her side and she whispered that it was damage limitation, She’d rather be thought trying to kill herself than being in a relationship with him.

He then dumped her on the ground which gave more credence to the fact that they are not dating.  The crowd then went away.

Lu Xing Cheng asked Dali to ask Xiaoyou to come in but Dali told him that she’s gone as he had fired her.

Tong Xiaoyou still had to explain what happened to her friends and to Yu Yan Zhi.

Yu Yan Zhi was very supportive and offered her a job at Yange immediately when she told him that she had resigned from Chic Magazine.

She seemed to be having good luck because when she went to gather her things at Chic, a taxi stopped in front of her.

She immediately saw Lu Xing Cheng at the foyer of the Chic building.  He told her that whether she was sacked or resigned she can’t leave without his say so and he was not saying so.

Poor Yu Yan Zhi was having a hard time.  Their magazine was inundated with controversy but he had the full support of the president.

He gave the two sets of necklaces to Tong Xiaoyou to untangle.

She can do it but she was not sure which one is the right necklace to give him.  Entered the fragrant Yu Yan Zhi.  He said that the right necklace should be easy to tell because it was not perfect since he had to rush it.

Xiaoyou was so grateful, she told Yu Yan Zhi that they agreed to be partners and to mark the occasion she engraved the necklace he made with TL after their initials.

She started working closely with Lu Xing Cheng again.

She got a call from a reporter who was trying to blackmail Lu Xing Cheng about the accident which happened ten years ago killing his mother.

Lu Xing Cheng met up with the reporter.  Xiaoyou secretly bugged the chair of the reporter and they got him recorded doing his blackmail.

He sent her to supervise the preparation.  She was by an investor for a quick word and was taken to a room.  The investor had more than talking in his mind but poor Xiaoyou had another attack of low blood sugar.

The investor was concerned about what happened to her but Lu Xing Cheng who turned up pushed him away from Xiaoyou.  He then gave her a sweet from his stash stored from his pocket, which he keeps especially for her.  So cute.

He then asked Dali to look after her.

When Xiaoyou came too, she was being supported by Yu Yan Zhi, they decide to go for a meal.  As he had been drinking he said that Xiaoyou could drive his car.

She drove happily and then straight into poor Lu Xing Cheng.

Episode 4

Poor Lu Xing Cheng was in a very sorry state physically, financially, and work-wise.

Xiaoyou felt so sorry for him because he was worse off than her at her sorriest time.  She decided to look after him while he is unwell after all she did run him over.

She was also feeling guilty because he had saved her so many times.

Ruru the little shaman guru, her best friend, told her that it looks like they had an exchange of luck.

From being a hoodoo, Xiaoyou is now the lucky one.

Ruru asked her delicately how she got his luck, did they kiss?

Xiaoyou remembered the drunken accidental kiss.

Ruru said that to turn things back to normal, they must kiss again.

She told this to Lu Xing Cheng who refused to kiss again and just laughed at her.

Lu Xing Cheng though noticed that since meeting her he had misfortune after another.

Episode 5

There have been a number of netizens who are boycotting this drama because of the age difference of the leads.

But I say there are missing a treat.  Shen Yue and Jerry Yan are so good together.  Though Shen Yue’s chemistry with the handsome Miles Wei is undeniable, she really sizzles with Jerry.  They have extra twinkle between them.  It will make you smile watching their antics.  Love the.

Anyway, Lu Xing Cheng was really the guardian angel to Tong Xiaoyou who does not realise yet the extent of it.

Xiaoyou’s parents had come back from their holiday and came straight to the hospital to see the man their daughter had run over.

Xiaoyou came to the room asking Lu Xing Cheng if he was ready to kiss, not knowing that her parents were there.  Her parents jumped into the conclusion that Xiaoyou and Lu Xing Cheng are dating.

Lu Xing Cheng was having fun, he told them that they are indeed in a relationship for three years already.  Her parents were ecstatic despite denial from their daughter.

Sarah Lin was able to inveigle the editorship away from Lu Xing Cheng by continuing to bug the President of Chic.

She was a hard task maker and assigned Tong Xiaoyou the impossible assignment of interviewing Professor Lu Ran.

Xiaoyou became determined to get an interview with Professor Lu Ran and her contact to get to the elusive professor, who does not grant a one-on-one interview, was Yu Yan.

She later finds out that Yu Yan was actually the professor’s son.  I reckoned that Lu Xing Cheng his estranged son as well.

The professor only granted the interview because he heard the interviewer was from Chic, where Lu Xing Cheng work or worked.

The professor went along with the rather farcical interview where Lu Xing Cheng was dictating each of the question to ask the professor who gamely answered each one.  He then asked critically if he is alright at this point, Lu Xing Cheng had cut off communication.

The hospital has told Lu Xing Cheng that he was well enough to go home which made him rather sad.

Episode 6

Lu Xing Cheng had to check out of the hospital because his bed is needed for an incoming patient.

He drove around and around for nearly six hours costing Daly 2000RMB.  Though Daly moaned, he accepted it because to him Lu Xing Cheng is Mother Teresa. LOL. Lu Xing Cheng protected him from the bullying Sarah Lin, Chic’s assistant editor.

Episode 7

Lu Xing Cheng moved into Xiaoyou’s apartment and promptly made himself at home.

Episode 8

What I like about this drama is that despite Xiaoyou being dealt with bad luck before, she was never a pushover.

That is why when she was framed at worked she fought back and did not cave in.

Lu Xing Cheng’s designing mojo is coming back.  He instructed Daly to liquidate all his assets (probably he will establish his own studio.

Episode 9

Xioayou was told by Lu Xing Cheng to go to his apartment to collect more clothes and books for him.

When she got back she asked him who was Mu Yang to him and why does Mu Yang hate him so much.

Lu Xing Cheng that Mu Yang was a fan and now he hates Lu Xing Cheng.

Xiaoyou asked that she also saw a photo of the Niki dress.

This time Lu Xing Cheng got a bit stroppy and told her to shut up basically.

But Xiaoyou was too intrigued to just let the subject go.

She enlisted the help of Wen Xi to find out about Mu Yang and Lu Xing Cheng after all Wen Xi was supposed to be Lu Xing Cheng’s girlfriend.

Wen Xi said that she will help as she is now officially part of the friendship with Ruru and Xiaoyou.

Wen Xi and Xiaoyou went to the former high school that Lu Xing Cheng and Mu Yang used to go to.

They spoke to a teacher who remembered the boys too well. She said that those two were the bestest of friends and she does not believe that there is real animosity between them, it was impossible as they were so close.

The girls are more intrigued.

Ye Mang, a top actress was to celebrate her 30 years in showbiz.  She wanted to recruit designers to make her dress and her first stop was Yangye.

Lu Yan Zhi wanted Xiaoyou to submit her design because he was not confident he can do it.  He then took her back home but not all the way through as she said she wanted to take a walk.

When she got home, Lu Xing Cheng was so happy to show her a new bigger and better desk which she did not know replaced her old one he broke in a fit of anger and depression.

They were happily chatting when there was a knock on the door.  She saw that it was LU Yan Zhi which she tried to ignore.  But he was knocking insistently.

So she had to open the door.  Lu Yan Zhi to find Lu Xing Cheng feeling very at home at the apartment.

Lu Xing Cheng noticed the twin necklace to his own worn by Lu Yan Zhi who bragged that it was a cooperation necklace between him and Xiaoyou.

In a fit of madness and anger, Lu Xing Cheng blurted that Xiaoyou would do anything to kiss him for good luck.

Xiaoyou was absolutely humiliated and slapped Lu Xing Cheng for making her feel cheap.

Lu Xing Cheng immediately know that he went too far but cannot apologise and Xiaoyou went back home to her mom and dad’s home.

Episode 10

Lu Xing Cheng regretted what he said but just can’t bring himself to apologise.  He did try to text her but he can’t get the nerve to actually send it.

But in the end, Lu Xing Cheng went to Xiaoyou’s parents’ house to see her in the guise of missing her parents’ cooking.

Wen Xi is being threatened by Sarah Lin about her contract.  Sarah ordered Wen Xi to discredit Lu Xing Cheng more so they would renew her contract.

Wen Xi, however, was made of sterner stuff and was loyal to her new found best-friend Xiaoyou.

Wen Xi and Xiaoyou tracked Mu Yang at a club.  The girls got drunk and ended up a brawl.  Ruru called Lu Xing Cheng to come rescue Xiaoyou.

When he arrived he took the drunk Xiaoyou off the stage and gave her a fireman’s lift.

They were so cute.  I suddenly realised that there is really one Dao Ming Si and Jerry is it.

At work, Xiaoyou is getting really unhappy because the gorgeous Yan Zhi shows his partiality over her which is not really doing her any favours amongst her workmates.  Because of this, her natural talent is overlooked and instead, she was being gossiped about that she only got her position because of the boss.

What they don’t know was that she has a flirtatious homelife with Lu Xing Cheng. 🙂

Wen Xi called Xiaoyou to Mu Yang’s apartment where they found him drunk.

His drunkenness did not stop the girls from interrogating him.  They found out the whole story of Lu Xing Cheng and the Niki dress.

That on their way to a design competition, Lu Xing Cheng and his mother got into a car accident.  His beloved mother died instantly.  This ended his life as a designer.

Episode 11

Mu Yang continued that he gave up his first job for Lu Xing Cheng to support him in his designs but Lu Xing Cheng called him brainless.  Now as a journalist, Mu Yang intentionally slanders Lu Xing Cheng to at least have a form of communication with him.

Xiaoyou told Lu Xing Cheng what she found out about his background about the Niki dress and his mother.

She said that she wishes he continued designing because he was the inspiration to her dream.

Obviously Lu Xing Cheng mighty pissed off.  He told her that her dream is his nightmare.

The next morning, Lu Xing Cheng had calm down when he saw the little notes with the food which were painstakingly left for him by Xiaoyou.

Xiaoyou told Yan Zhi that she will be resigning.  She also mentioned that she knew that he plagiarized the Niki dress.

Yan Zhi said that he did not. He was inspired by a design by Lu Ren, his father.

Poor Yan Zhi.

Xiaoyou and Lu Xing Cheng are getting closer.  So close they almost had that sizzling kiss by the couch which was interrupted by a very scandalised Ruru.

Just as the romance between Xiaoyou and Xingcheng is heating up there is another woman in the offing.

It is Jiang Yan who was trying to recruit Xingcheng to work at C&G.

The romance between Wen Xi and Muyang is so cute.

Episode 12

Poor Yan Zhi.  His homelife is so stressful with his parents fighting likes cats and dogs all the time to the point where Lu Ren walked out and told Yan Zhi to look after his mother.

He was so sad and stressed and could have needed the company of the often cheerful Xiaoyou but found her instead in hysterics having a good time celebrating Lu Xing Cheng’s birthday.

Lu Xing Cheng does not normally celebrate his birthday since the death of his mother ten years ago.  But he found that Xiaoyou had given him a new lease of life.  He was happier.

He later confided to Xiaoyou that Mu Yang’s challenge for him to go to a reality tv designer contest might not be a bad idea.

Xiaoyou was in seventh heaven for him.

Lu Xing Cheng had asked Daly to look for an art studio with a living space for him.

Meanwhile, Xiaoyou had to continuously prove herself at work because her colleague, Wu Meng, a serial plagiarizer of Tong Xiaoyou’s work does not get punish properly.  Wu Meng should have been sacked before but not in this drama.  LOL

Episode 13

This episode is so cute.

The Next Runaway reality tv had opted not to engage the services of Xing Cheng but Muyang got so annoyed and told the producer/director that he was making a big mistake.

Xing Cheng was an audience catcher.  As soon as it was announced that Xing Cheng was going to be at doing the show, their ratings had already gone up a few notch.

The director was easily convinced and officially asked Xing Cheng to be in the show.

The team of the show was the marriage of Chinese and western culture to create a dress.

Xing Cheng was very dismissive of the dress from the rep of C&G.  He said that it was just a qipao with the addition of glittery phoenix and peonies, nothing special.  Netizens are loving his running commentary.

Then the next contestant had a very simple gown which really nothing special but according to Xing Cheng, the designer really put a lot of thought about.  The folds are heavenly as if floating.  I must admit I did not see what he was talking about.

Then finally it was his turn to be on stage.  Xiaoyou who turned up to support him told him that she heard Sarah Lin was planning dastardly to sabotage his design.

Xing Cheng just laughed.  He then told her that he was glad she was there.

Then to everyone’s amazement, his model was a shrouded lifeless mannequin.  When the judges asked where the live model was?  Xing Cheng said he did not have one and when he was asked to show his design at least, the floor assistant uncovered the mannequin which did not have anything on it.

Everyone was thinking that Xing Cheng had lost it, even Xiaoyou though that since he thought he was not going to win he did not even bother to design one.

But Xing Cheng announced that he could not design a gown because he would need a nobility and a pure girl/woman to model something which East and West would meet.

He said that the only one to embody the design will be Ye Mang, who he intends to design her 30th-anniversary dress.

Everyone was with him.  They were blown by his confident audacity.

Now, Sarah Lin was working with Mrs Cheng (Lu Ren’s wife) to take Xing Cheng down.

Meanwhile, Xing Cheng was at the Tong’s house again dining with them.

Xiaoyou and Xing Cheng almost choked on their food when Mrs Tong asked when they were going to get married?

In fact they should get married in real life because Jerry Yan and Shen Yue looked good together when they were in the supermarket. So cutttteeee
