Plot Summary
This is a Yu Yin drama so can be expected to be quite good with a strong female lead though a bit on the angsty side.
The story is new though there a little similarity to Letter to the Boy Who Will Break Me.
Anyway, it was Suli’s 29th birthday. She waited for her husband of 8 years to turn up but again he was a no show just like the last three years of their marriage. He had become an absentee husband who was always away and consumed with business affair.
She felt he did not need her anymore, she was redundant, as he has an office wife in Assistant Lin and for business function, he was often accompanied by Mu Can Can.
Suli decided to end it all with a divorce but as a birthday wish, she drunkenly hoped for Fu Wen Yu to come home for the last time. She wanted him to turn up just like when he was 19, when he was most passionately in love with her.
She gave up waiting after 9 hours but in the early hours of the morning, her husband finally staggered in. She took advantage of the situation for the last time because she was now determined to divorce.
They had an intense and torrid time together. When she woke up, she noticed that he was somewhat different. She noticed that a little scar on his eyebrow was missing.
When he woke up, he was so delighted to see her but then he was so shocked to find out that it was 2026 not 2015. She told him that it seemed he time-traveled.
He was ecstatic to know that they are married and expecting for her to confirm that they were madly in love.
Her husband called and 19 year old Wen Yu overhead how cold he sounded. He can’t helped himself and made sure husband WenYu could hear that SuLi was with someone.
Su Li found the comfort, nurturing, love and sex with the 19 Wen Yu which her husband had not given her in three years.
She told her husband she wanted a divorce and moved out of their marital home. She was now contendtedly shacked up with 19WY. She is now officially cheating on her husband with his 19year old self🤣🤣🤣
Somehow, husband became obsessed with her. This time, he had all the time in the world for her. He saw 19WL and only believed more that Suli really loves him as he found a doppelgänger of him to cheat with.
Su Li made 19 and husband meet. Husband finally realised that 19 is not his double but actually himself at 19. Though fantastical, he was learning to live with it. He refuses to divorce.
But Suli is determined but was getting furious and sadder.
19 could not take it that Suli was sad so he went to talk to husband. He went to find out what went wrong with the relationship because he can’t get his head around his head why Husband stopped caring for Suli.
Husband finally confessed what happened three years ago.
Ting Ting, his sister and Suli’s bestfriend met an accident together with Suli. At the hospital, Husband had to make a choice who to prioritise with the treatment as there was not enough RH negative blood in store.
He chose Suli but sadly Ting Ting died.
Husband was eaten up with guilt. So he began separating himself from Suli because everytime he goes near her can see the pale face of the dead Tingting and felt immeasurable guilt.
19 was aghast at how cowardly and irresponsible Husband was. He said to Husband that that day three years ago, Suli lost both her bestfriend and her husband. He made Suli suffer for three whole years.
Finally, Husband agreed to the divorce.
Suli was free at last, she neither chose her husband nor 19. She chose herself and be free.
Husband said to 19 to go back to his own timeline because he will look after Suli himself.
I really love this drama. Totally recommend.
