Episode 1
Tiandu City, 13th year of Zhenyuan
It was not a good time for business as it had rained continously. Despite the inclement weather, Wen Xiao was on the prowl to catch demons. She happened to see E Shou who is a cute demon of the Deceptive Beast kind,
Wen Xiao used the Huanling Powder to immediately contain E Shou and would have taken her to the Demon Hunting Bureau but was ambushed by the Chongwu Camp, another faction of demon hunters who are more ferocious, they shoot to kill.
Poor E Shou became a victim which made Wen Xiao feel guilty as E Shou was a mild kind of demon.
Meanwhile at the Demon Hunting Bureau, Zhu Yan, the leader of all demons suddenly turned up. He was confronted by Zhuo Yi Chen who was brandishing the Cloud Light Sword of Bingyi Clan. They had a very balletic fight but Zhuo Yi Chen managed to control Zhu Yan.
It turned out Zhu Yan was there with a mission of overhauling the Demon Hunting Bureau which has been struggling for the last eight years especially when Chongwu Camp asserted their influence.
Zhu Yan declared that he would help to overhaul the bureau provided he works with Wen Xiao.
It seems Zhu Yan and Wen Xiao had a history.
