Episode 1

Zheng Min Wei is a Director in a big firm.  Lately, he is being nagged by his mother to get married or at least to start dating again.

Even his colleagues comment that he is not actually bad-looking and yet he had not dated for the last 6 years.

To pacify his mother Zhen Min Wei started going on blind dates and met all sorts of modern women.  There was a vlogger who was will to take and take but doesn’t want to give.  The dating agency was running out of women to introduce to him that they ask him if he was into men.

Zhen Min Wei categorically said no!

The agency introduced him to a therapist who could change his outlook about women and relationship.

She is An Ran, who is very pretty and well-grounded.

Zhen Min Wei told her that he was willing to speak to her but she had to wait in a corner while he works.

An Ran is best friends with Man Man who went drinking in a bar.  Man Man got so drunk, someone called An Ran to come and collect her friend.

In the same bar was Zhen Min Wei who was surprised to see An Ran.

He assisted her to put her friend in a car.  Zhen Min Wei then helped An Ran to buckle her seatbelt.  She accidentally kissed him as he was in very close proximity.

That brief kiss had woken up Zhen Min Wei’s libido.

Episode 2

An Ran is pretty flirty herself.  She was eating out with An Ran as part of the therapy when she noticed a morsel of food stuck on his left top lip.  Instead of just telling him that he had something on his face immediately, she looked at him closely for the longest time which made Zhen Min Wei nervous.  She then told about the thing on his face.

She then said to him to ignore what happened to them the previous evening.

Zhen Min Wei gave An Ran some few home truths and it seems she can give her observations but unwilling to take in comments about herself.

Nevertheless, they started meeting each other outside work.

It was the new year, An Ran went home to her parents and Zhen Min Wei did the same.

His mother once again broached to him the idea of dating.  She told him that she knew a few pretty girls.

Zen MIn Wei told his mother that he had found a girl he likes.

Romeo & Juliet (1870) by Ford Madox Brown (1821–1893)

Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is that archetypal tragic love story that resonates with everyone.

It follows the formula of a great iconic love story, where the lovers get together in the end for a brief moment and then forced to part ways in death or some tragic circumstances.

The story of Romeo and Juliet is about two beautiful young lovers who were born to be together but because their families were warring, they got caught in the middle. No way out for the young lovers but be together in death. How can you not feel the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet? How sad and horrific to watch the star-crossed lovers to die in each other’s arms knowing that it could and should have not happened?!!!

Popular quotes from Romeo & Juliet

What’s in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other word would smell as sweet.
(Juliet)

O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?
(Juliet)

Good night, good night. Parting is such sweet sorrow,
That I shall say good night till it be morrow.
(Juliet)

Tarzan & Jane

When I was a girl back in the Philippines, it was such a treat to watch Tarzan on our black and white television.

I loved the Tarzan series, I loved his weekly adventures with his trusted Cheeta, bravely going against the men who were shooting and hunting and capturing animals for money and past-time.

When Jane Porter, played by Maureen O’Sullivan as a companion to Johnny Weissmuller’s Tarzan, the show got even more exciting. It was romantic; her teaching him a bit of “culture” and him teaching her the law of the jungle was hilarious.

I think their characters were a great love story.

From Wikipedia:
Jane, an American from Baltimore, Maryland, is the love interest and later the wife of Tarzan, and subsequently the mother of their son Korak. She develops over the course of the series from a conventional damsel in distress who must be rescued from various perils to a competent and capable adventuress in her own right, fully capable of defending herself and surviving on her own in the jungles of Africa. She first appeared in the initial Tarzan novel, Tarzan of the Apes (1912), reappearing in the second, The Return of Tarzan (1913), the third, The Beasts of Tarzan (1914), the fourth, The Son of Tarzan (1914), the fifth, Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar (1916), the seventh, Tarzan the Untamed (1920), the eighth, Tarzan the Terrible (1921), the ninth, Tarzan and the Golden Lion (1923), the tenth, Tarzan and the Ant Men (1924), and the nineteenth, Tarzan’s Quest (1936). Jane also appeared in a minor role in the non-Tarzan novel The Eternal Lover (1925).
