Quick Precis
Gu Xi Xi and Yin Sichen enter into a contract marriage for a mutually beneficial business transaction.
Episode 1
Gu Xixi is a budding fashion designer who has an online shop called XiXi and Mumu’s Magic Cabin. Amongst the services provided by her shop was fashion buying.
Yin Sichen is the president of a department store and wanted to do a cooperation with a rather elusive fashion designer, Alex.
He went online to get fashion buyers to get them to buy all of the Marry Me wedding dresses designed by Alex.
After some fruitless search, Yin Sichen found Xixi and Mumu’s Magic Cabin.
Episode 2
Xixi broke up with hr boyfriend Zengang who she thought at first that the was upset with the trending news of her being kissed by Yin Sichen. Instead, she found Zengang having a romantic lunch with another girl, who looked like they had been dating for a while.
Xixi met up with the man she almost run over with her hired Porche. He was Mo Xi Zin, a boy she was kind to when they were children.
He had been looking for her as he had always remember her when he was at his lowest ebb.
Episode 3
Poor Xixi and her mother had to put up with her father who was a no-hoper, who likes to invest in non-starter money-making schemes. To top that, his mother has delusions of grandeur and had invited other members of the family to celebrate her birthday in a five-star hotel.
It was left to Xixi to fork out for the expensive meal. But she went mental when she was also billed for missing silver cutleries and plates.
She told the maitre d’ to call the police to investigate this matter which frightened her aunt who brought out the missing items from her bag.
Lucky for her aunt, Mo Xi Zin turned up and advice the harrassed Xixi not to further humiliate her family.
Sichen got the contract to showcase Mr Alex’s Marry Me wedding dresses but after he had married Xixi who had become Mr Alex’s favourite.
Sichen told Xixi that they should get married. This was after he had humiliated her so she does not fall in love with him and leave him alone.
Episode 4
Xixi did not have any intention of marrying Sichen but then Sichen’s childhood sweetheart, XiWei, returned from abroad and immediately sought Xixi warning her to stay away from Sichen.
Xiwei insulted her so much saying that the likes of her were after some culture and riches from other people.
This made Xixi agree to marry Sichen, who would not take no for an answer anyway.
They signed a pre-nup where after three months of marriage they will divorce and he will give her a million yuan.
He was falling in love with her but still denying it.
On their wedding day, Xixi got drunk to get through the day and night.
Sichen stayed with her and she unconsciously pulled him to her as she fell asleep in the bed.
By the way, Sichen’s assistant is gorgeous. Love his curly hair. Whoa! Just realised that he was Chen Xun in Just An Encore and Way Back Into Love.
Episode 5
The newly married couple shared the same bedroom but not the same bed.
Sichen who is an amnesiac found himself falling asleep listening to Xixi reads.
Sichen’s grandma is so adorable and she had taken to Xixi. She encourages the couple to have a baby immediately.
Grandma unwittingly broke Xiwei’s heart by asking her to customise a bag. She had her design sent through Xiwei’s connection to artisan in France. When the bag had arrived Xiwei learnt that Grandma was going to give it to Xixi.
As much as Sichen’s grandma is kind and generous to Xixi, it was another story for her own family.
Her mother is as bad as her husband and mother-in-law. She makes her daughter be responsible for every money problem and lets her husband and mother-in-law live the life of Riley.
Xixi found out that her childhood friend was the president of Wenge, the rival of Sichen’s store.
Episode 6
In order to bail out her mother’s rent debts, Xixi pawned her customised handbag which was given to her by grandma.
Grandma asked her where her bag was which Xixi said was too precious to use during sunny weather.
Grandma said that bags should be used in all kinds of weather and get a new one when it breaks. She especially told Xixi to use it in a week’s time for Grandma’s birthday.
Xixi went to the bag shop but someone already bought her bag.
It was grandma’s birthday and Xiwei gave grandma Xixi’s bag which surprised grandma as the bag was supposed to be a one-off.
Xiwei knew that Xixi sold the bag.
Grandma ordered Xixi to get her bag.
A frightened Xix went to get her bag followed by an irate Sichen.
Xixi took a replica bag from her drawers and told Sichen she made a copy of the bag she sold.
Sichen was raging because Xixi is obsessed with money.
Anyway they showed the bag to grandma who got confused. Poor grandma, they would drive her to dementia.
Anyway, Sichen said that both handbags were real. The designer usually make a sample bag and then an ‘original’ one.
So Xixi was saved from further humiliation which annoyed Xiwei.
Later that night, Xixi wanted to explain what happened to Sichen but he refused to listened. But still she said that Sichen never had to experience without out money.
Actually, I don’t have any sympathy for Xixi or her mother. They are both willing victims of their family. The mother was actually loving being a victim which she was passing to her stupid daughter.
Anyway, Sichen had the bag issue investigated and Chen Fei Ang told him that the money received by Xixi from the sale of the bag was immediately transferred to her mother to pay a year-long rent arrears on her dry-cleaning business. How can the mother not pay the rent? Why would she willingly support her no-good of a husband and be downtrodden by her mother-in-law? Usually, mothers developed backbones when they had their child or children. But Xixi’s mother instead passed the responsibility for the family to her daughter. A hateful mother.🤣😜
Xixi is as dumb for allowing her father and grandma to get away with so many things.
Episode 7
Sichen bought the building where Xixi’d mother has her laundry/dry cleaning business. He made sure that Xixi knew about it so she feels indebted to him. She was grateful so she was flirting back as he tries to seduce her.
Xiwei however was doing her damnedest to create strife between the couple. She use Zhao Ze Gang by encouraging him to contact Xixi and then get money from Xixi.
Zegang did indeed contact Xixi to ask to meet in a restaurant where Xiwei asked Sichen to take her to lunch to talk business.
But actually, Xiwei was asking Sichen that if she had turned up for Mr Alex party, Sichen would have married her instead of Xixi.
Sichen said that it was Xixi was he was fated to marry.
Xiwei told him that she had been in love with him for 20 years.
Sichen was rather shocked but then immediately noticed Xixi as she joined her ex-boyfriend who told Xixi that he regretted breaking up with her and wanted to get back.
Xixi said that she was never going to do that because she won the lottery of love by marrying Girl’s Dream Man. He is sexy, he can’t get enough of her and he has his own boss.
Sichen who could hear what was being said was loving every second of it.
Xixi left and went to her best friend’s house where they cogitated what was really happening. Xixi was sure that Zegang had someone taking their photo and would blackmail her.
She was right. It did not take for Zegang to contact her and sending a copy of an intimate photo of them together him holding her hand on the table.
He arranged for them to meet up to take about the photo.
Xixi decided to go and her best friend said that she will be following in her car as a backup it something go wrong.
It did go wrong. Xixi told Zegang that he was free to send the photo to whoever he wanted to because she was not paying him 2Million.
She then walked away but Zegang followed. As trope would have it, she would fall down and be in danger.
Zegang was holding half of a brick which he was about to hit her head with but suddenly Sichen was there to stop him. He said ‘no one touches my woman.”
Apparently, Xiao Ya’s car stalled so she called Sichen because she was really suspicious of Zegang.
Episode 8
Despite Zegang being arrested, photos of him with Xixi still posted online and trended.
Xixi decided to give a press conference to clear the matter but she was asked how she could have gone from ex-boyfriend Zegang immediately to marry Sichen.
Lost for words, Xixi was rescued by Sichen who turned up to the press conference
Sichen said that he fell in love at first sight with Xixi and pursued her avidly until she agreed to become his wife as soon as possible.
Xixi was grateful to him so she agreed to extend their marriage control for an extra three years.
Xixi advice Sichen on one of his projects but he was dismissive of her effort when she showed him her business plan. He just told her to give up as she was not good at it.
Meanwhile, Nianxian who was MoZixin held a book signing for his new manga.
Xixi went as she was his number one fan. She was so excited to see a masked Nianxian, who agreed to a selfie together. Then he suggested a hug as well. She was so happy hugging her idol./
