Xiao Qian was a scriptwriter who got sucked into her own script.

Update:  This drama will commence on 18 May 2020!

Episode 1

In a distant land, there were two cities adjacent to each other.

Huayuan City is a very matriarchal county where women rule.  On the other side of the county was Xuanhu City where it was the more traditional patriarchial.

Huanyuan City and Xuanhu City engaged in a fierce battle.  And what do you know?!!! Huanyuan City overwhelmed Xuanhu fairly easily.

In order to maintain stability, Xuanhu City sent their Crown Prince, Han Shuo to build an alliance with Huayuan through marriage.

Han Shuo was supposed to marry Princess Chen Chu Chu, the Second Princess, but on his way to the city, he saved a gorgeous Zhou Lu Si in her provocative red Amazonian garb playing as the Third Princess, Chen Qian Qian.

They had a balletic flying in the sky until they got down to the ground.  There and then Chen Qian Qian declared, “Clean him up and send him to my mansion tonight.” (I think I first heard something like this from an article about how Julia Roberts met her now-husband, Daniel Moder).

Anyway, Chen Qian Qian wanted Han Shuo for herself because he is gorgeous.

This story is actually the start of the script by Chen Qian Qian from the present day, who went to consult Mr. Han, the actor.

The gorgeous Mr Han was not happy with her script because he does not understand his motivation.  He asked her how was it possible for his character who is a male chauvinist pig to fall in love with an independent and aggressive woman?

Xiao Qian said that because Chu Chu was kind and clever.

Mr Han told her to enter into a relationship before she writes a love story.

Xiao Qian was so annoyed but because she finally got some money for her script, she wrote day and night to revise her script.  She was tired, overworked, and started to feel ill.

Then she woke up as the Third Princess, Chen Qian Qian with her own harem of docile gorgeous men. 🙂

Episode 2

Chen Xiao Qian was worried about her script and wanted to get back to her own timeline.  She tried various way to get back and she reckoned it was through killing herself that she will be catapulted to the present time.

Han Shou agreed to everything asked of him at Huanyuan City because he was after the Dragon Bone, a miracle cure for all kind of sickness and illnesses.  Han Shou was living on borrowed time.  He was already 19 and it had been diagnosed that he suffers from a congenital heart condition and he would not live past the age of 20.  His second mission was to locate the Black Stone.

His initial plan was to marry Chu Chu, the second princess, who will become the City Owner (next Queen) and then subjugate her and he will annex Xuanhu with Huanyuan and he will rule.

But as things would have it, it is not going according to plan and he ended in prison.

It was Qian Qian who saved him from execution.  Qian Qian went to her mother, the queen to say that she needed a husband immediately because she was pregnant and she was not sure who the father was as she does like hanging around in the Music and Dance Academy, which is a brothel.

Of course, Qian Qian got what she wanted because she is a much indulged youngest daughter of the queen.  She is known as the princess devil in town.

Han Shou agreed to the marriage to Qian Qian because he had planned to kill her on their wedding night through poisoning.  But she was wily.  But it got to the point that she was suspicious of every meal she was given.

She was so starving, she went to dine with the Queen, who would not allow her to eat certain food because of her pregnancy.

But the Queen later saw that Qian Qian’s Gecko Cinnabar was still visibly intact.  Meaning Qian Qian was actually still a virgin despite visiting the brothel.

The Queen was about to rescind her decision to stop execution of Han Shou but Qian Qian begged her mother to pardon him because she really loves him.

I love the Queen.  She is really regal and majestic.  The actress who played her usually has sophisticated mother-in-law in other dramas.

Xiao Qian wanted her story to go back to its normal storyline where Han Shou would end up in a romantic happily ever after, so she asked her assistant to look for the best storyteller in Huanyuan for her to consult.

Despite himself, Han Shou is beginning to be more proprietary of Qian Qian and was annoyed when she allowed a musician to move in their manor.

Qian Qian was actually betrothed to the gorgeous Pei Hang for the last ten years.  He does not like her because she was so unruly and illiterate.

But Qian Qian went to apologise to him sincerely and suddenly he was looking at her with a different eye.

Episode 3

I am finding it hard to summarise this drama.  Not because I am hating it, it was the opposite in fact.  I am loving it so much, I just watch one episode and the next and the next and then the next until to the most current subbed episode,  The problem was that I  can’t really remember what happened to each episode except falling in love with the antics of the leads.  They are so great together, their chemistry is sizzling, so sizzling you feel the male lead had fallen in love for real with the adorable LuSi.  So, so cute.

Anyway, I shall persevere and rewatch the whole thing again and I will try to stop myself now and again to jot down the important bits in each episode.  LOL

Qian Qian went to apologise to Pei Heng for making a fool of Han Shou.  She promised that she will apologise to Han Shou as well.

Pei Heng was a little surprised to see the spoiled Qian Qian apologising and he was a little intrigued by it.

Qian Qian went to see Han Shou and apologise to him.  He saw her bare arm with the gecko cinnabar and realised that she couldn’t be pregnant afterall.

Qian Qian told him that she only said that she was pregnant with her mother so Han Shou won’t be executed.

Han Shou started looking at her with a different eye.  He even stopped the assassination to was about to come to her.  So cute.

Qian Qian was trying very hard to throw Han Shou and Chu Chu together but it was proving very hard as Han Shou was more interested in her than with Chu Chu.

But Qian Qian persevered.  She improvised a plan of having Han Shou saving Chu Chu but it came to naught instead Chu Chu believed that there was a spy and Han Shou was colluding with it.

The Queen was worried about who should succeed her.  Her eldest daughter is a hypochondriac and her youngest was spoiled and incompetent. Chu Chu her second daughter was really not her real daughter.

Episode 4

Li Qin caused Qian Qian to dislocate her shoulder.

Seeing that Qian Qian was rather panic to have her shoulder reset, Han Shou took it upon himself to do the resetting himself.  He distracted her by telling her that he knew deep down that she likes him and the feeling was mutual.  So cute.

This lovey doviness did not last long because Pei Heng came to visit Qian Qian and they looked very happy and very cosy together which made Ha Shou jealous.

Han Shou had another attack of the heart.  His assistant reminded him that needed the Dragon Bone immediately to cure him.

They decided that the only way to get the Dragon Bone was to kill Qian Qian which will force the Queen to reveal where the Dragon bone was.

Somehow Han Shou could not kill Qian Qian because he was falling in love with her.  And found her innocent and cute especially when she threw him a surprise birthday party.

Episode 5

Chen Qian Qian forced her way into the Ancestral Hall and took the Dragon Bone.  She had stewed.

In the meantime, Han Shou was preparing a feast for Qian Qian complete with poisoned wine.

She pretended to have drunk the goblets of wine and was dying.

The theft of the Dragon Bone reached the Queen.

Seeing that her daughter was ‘dying’ she commanded that the Dragon Bone Soup be given to her.

She refused to take it so Han Shou had to transfer the syrup by mouth to mouth.

The Queen did see that Han Shou is rather devoted to her daughter, who upon tasting the syrup got well immediately,

Han Shou at first refused to take the rest of the syrup but Qian Qian did her drama that the Queen commanded Han Shou to drink the stinky syrup.

Afterwards, the Queen was left tending to her favoured child who she assured protection from anyone.

Episode 6

Qian Qian used the pseudo-poisoning to announce that the side effect of it was her losing her masterful Kung fu skills.

Han Shou was punished by the Queen but Qian Qian intervened declaring that she was not coerced by Han Shou to steal the Dragon Bone.

Is was all her doing and decision.

The Queen warned her to watch her mouth.

Qian Qian said that she would willingly become a commoner as long as Han Shou was not punished.

The news that Qian Qian was now a commoner sent the market people to collect outstanding payments for their goods and services from Qian Qian.

Episode 7

Being a commoner was not what it was cracked up to be.  Suddenly she became prey for all, thus was confined to her mansion and has everything she wanted to be brought to her.

It was rather lonely for her especially learning that she has all the money to spend as Han Shou was loaded.

Her three storyteller advisers told her that she needed a miraculous event to happen to compensate for the Dragon Bone.

Unfortunately, such an eventful miracle only happens every thousand years.

A hundred miners were trapped by a collapsed mine. The people were asking for Qian Qian to sacrifice herself to end the jinx in Huanyuan.

The Queen was upset and annoyed.

Qian Qian decided to blow another opening for allow the trapped miner to be able to get ou.

Chu Chu turned up to arrest Qian Qian was the Queen also arrived and was shocked that Chu Chu would arrest her own sister.

Anyway someone shouted that the miners were coming out one by one.

Qian Qian helped them get out.

Lin Qi was still moaning that Qian Qian was such a jinx.  By blowing the mine, they have lost the fortune lode.

They wanted her executed but the miners begged the Queen to pardon the Third Princess.

Then Qian Qian noticed a bubbling crude oil from under her feet.  She had discovered a source of petroleum which is more revered than gold.

The people suddenly rejoiced saying that their city will be so well off because they have got the Black Water Mine.

The Queen was only too happy to reinstate Qian Qian’s status as the Third Princess which annoyed the jealous Chu Chu.

Episode 8

This was that cute episode where he ate part of the almond biscuit already in her mouth.  So cute.  They are so lovely.

Pei Heng tried to convince Qian Qian to go for the Crown Princess position.

Qian Qian was shocked because her script had always meant for Chu Chu to be the Crown Princess and the City Owner one day as well as married to Han Shou.

Han Shou and Pei Heng have other ideas and started tutoring her.

There was a bet who will be the crown princess winner.

Qian Qian put a bet on Chu Chu.

Meanwhile, Han Shou put a bet on Qian Qian,

Episode 9

It was the day of the test for the Crown Princess eligibility.

Qian Qian wasn’t really after becoming a crown princess, she just wanted to go through the test in an average way so as not to embarrass the Queen.

During the written test, she just drew a picture but Han Shou had arranged for the invigilator to change her paper to one done earlier.

Then it was the Kung Fu.

With sheer effort, Qian Qian ‘beat’ her earlier opponents which allowed her to progress to the finals.

And her opponent was Lan Qi.

Qian Qian was beaten pretty badly but her first sister turned up and inspired her to give one last effort to defeat Lan Qi.

Han Shou counted all the times that Lan Qi used her whip against Qian Qian and ordered his assistant, Bai Ji to slash Lan Qi 27 times before killing her.

But Qian Qian stopped them saying that death was too good for Lan Qi.  She had a better plan on how to torture Lan Qi.

Episode 10

This is the episode where Qian Qian jumped cutely into Han Shou’s arms because of a tiny rat.

The rat is one of the 27 ones that Bai Ji caught as ordered by Han Shou.

Qian Qian decided that the best revenge for Lan Qi was to bound and gag her and then locked her in a rat-infested room.  Apparently Lan Qi was phobic of rats.

Han Shou though was not really impressed, he would have rather killed Lan Qi.

But Qian Qian reminded him that she signed a disclaimer before the test that she cannot hurt or kill her opponent as revenge.

The last test was a political discourse which Qian Qian won.

She become the overall winner on all the tests and was declared by the Queen as the Crown Princess.

Qian Qian was very upset and tried to decline the CP position but the Queen overruled saying that she was brave and intelligent and would make a good Queen one day.

Poor Chu Chu was very disappointed and upset because she had always expected that she will be the city owner one day.

Qian Qian first project as the Crown Princess was to disband bandits who had overtaken Weiming Mountain.

Episode 11

Qian Qian and her entourage, including a new character called Su Ziying, Xiao Qian had created to be a matchmaker between Han Shou and Chu Chu, for Weiming Mountain.

Qian Qian created some instances which turned rather dangerous just to get Han Shou and Chu Chu together.

Chu Chu confessed to Han Shou but he said that he will choose Qian Qian everytime because she is pure hearted.

The bandits came to the inn where Qian Qian and her entourage were staying.

Episode 15

The Princess Royal wanted to choose Su Mu as her husband but he declined.

In a fit of temper she threw the ball which will determine the one was going to marry.

Lu Peng, an ambitious gigolo from the House of Music & Dance got the ball.

Finally, Qian Qian confessed to Han Shou that she likes him.

Episode 16

Awww Qian Qian and Han Shou had finally slept together but rather in a platonic way.

Chu Chu confronted the Queen for favouring Qian Qian all the time.

The Queen got so upset she had a stroke.

Lu Peng overheard the altercation between Chu Chu and the Queen

Episode 17

As the Queen was incapacitated, it was left to Qian Qian to manage the government.

The first thing she did was to put Chu Chu under house arrest.

Su Zifeng told Chu Chu to get rid of those who heard her argument with the Queen.

Lu Peng’s throat was slit by Su Zifeng.

Episode 18

Su Mu was being blamed for the murder of Lu Peng.  The reason was that he was ordered by the Crown Prince.

I just have to mention that Patrick Quan who played Su Mu was such a good actor.  I immediately noticed him when he was a gigolo at the Music and Dance Academy.  His expression was just perfect, spot on.  He was amorous combined with being resigned to his fate as a sex slave. Completely subjugated and yet there was cynicism behind it all.  Good actor, hope he becomes a male lead soon.

Qian Qian plotted to remove Han Shou from Huanyuan for his protection.  She was trying to change the ending of her script where Han Shou will die in the end protecting Chu Chu.

Good acting for both leads here.  It was emotionally affecting their parting.

Qian Qian pretended that the love at first sight thing did not happen that she had been pretending to like him all along.  She did not lose her Kung Fu skill but just wanted to look helpless to bring Han Shou’s protective instinct.

She said that it worked so well.  Him being a tiger had turned into a pussycat.

Han Shou loved her truly but was heartbroken that she was never in love with him.  He told her that he had always thought that she was like a rose with thorns and needed nurturing but it turned out she was all thorns.

As a last try to make her admit that she really likes him, he pointed to the stamp with a heart shape that he made for her being still in her desk.

Qian Qian picked it up and threw it on the ground breaking in several pieces.

Han Shou then removed the bronze bracelet from his arms which was so painful, I felt it. 🙂

Han Shou was then banished into a secret location which Qian Qian heavily guarded (by two female soldiers, LOL)

Another breaking up was Su Mu and Yuan Yuan.

Su Mu had finally came to see Yuan Yuan to say his farewell.

Yuan Yuan was heartbroken that he did not want to marry her or even like her.

Su Mu said that he did not want all the fuss and gossip that a princess married a gigolo, who is someone so beneath her.

Yuan Yuan told him that she does not care about gossip.

Su Mu told her that he does and she had never asked what he wanted, whether he wanted to marry her.

He then left wit Yuan Yuan trying to reach out to his retreating back.

Meanwhile, Chu Chu who was supposed to be under house arrest, went looking for Han Shou with Zi Feng.

Chu Chu drugged the female guards and she spoke to Han Shou who was now on a vendetta against Qian Qian.

Episode 19

Han Shou came back and had Qian Qian’s manor surrounded by his own Xuanhu’s guards immediately.

The Queen had come out of her coma and was quite relieved that Han Shou’s had Qian Qian’s under guard.

Chu Chu meanwhile was acting as the city owner.

Han Shou can’t help himself.  He can’t really bring himself to torture Qian Qian.  One cry from her and he was retreating when he tried to claim his conjugal right.

Zi Rui though reminded Qian Qian that she missed Han Shou every single moment when he was gone so why was she playing hard to get now/

Qian Qian said Han Shou was not different.

Huanyuan was heavily guarded by Chu Chu’s soldiers and Han Shou’s own.  It was under lockdown which made Su Mu think twice of leaving Princess Royal.  They finally reconciled and Su Mu promised that he will be at her side for life.  Awww.  They are so cute.

But as not as cute as Han Shou and Qian Qian. Lu Si and Yu Xi’s chemistry is electric.  Yu Xi is the best screen partner for Lu Si although she always have a good bond with her other leading men before (Sorry, Li Hong Yi).  This time, you actually feel the lurve from Din Yu Xi for Zhao Lu Si.  Love them.

Episode 20

There is now a tantamount power struggle in Huanyuan.

Chu Chu was waiting to abdicate so she could be the next city owner as promised of support from Han Shou.

Han Shou just can’t abandon Qian Qian but he was still treating her at arm’s length.    He even tasked her to do the household chores which shocked Pei Heng.

He confronted Han Shou about it that Qian Qian is a princess and can’t be expected to do menial work.  And to prove his point he told Han Shou that Qian Qian was hurt and burnt her hand.

Han Shou was very sorry and went to see Qian Qian.

Qian Qian now realised that the story seemed to be out of her control. So she reckoned there is not point staying away from Han Shou.

So when he came to see her, she played cute and even get to sleep with him in her bed.  Nothing happened though.  🙂

Pei Heng, however, started plotting to become the first male Minister of Defence.  He stole the Flower seal from Chu Chu and went to the barracks of the female soldiers who laughed at him at first.

But he killed one of them and suddenly they were not laughing.

He then tried to save Qian Qian from her confinement.

Qian Qian noticed immediately how uncomfortable Pei Heng from his new role as Minister of Defence.  Killing is not in his nature but he said he had to become stronger to protect Qian Qian.

Episode 21

Han Shou completely took over Huanyuan but just for awhile because Pei Heng was able to round up the Huanyuan soldiers, additionally, the soldiers and bandits under Meng Gu came to the rescue.

The Queen ordered for Chu Chu and Han Shou to be arrested.

Qian Qian visited Han Shou in jail and told him to do what he wanted most and that was to consummate their marriage.

The next day, Han Shou’s judgment day.

The Queen ordered that he be beheaded.

Qian Qian begged the Queen desperately to pardon Han Shou,  she even showed her arm with the Gecko Cinnabar dot.  She said that she loves Han Shou so much they are now completely together.

Seeing that the Queen was unmoved, Qian Qian stabbed herself to death.

During her mourning, Han Shou kept a vigil. Then Pei Heng came to pay his respect.  Pei Heng said that he had nothing to live for so he was willing to die with Qian Qian.

Pei Heng was about to throw himself at the marbled coffin when Qian Qian sat up.  Pei Heng was surprised and said that she had planned it so she could leave Huanyuan for Xuanyu.

Qian Qian asked Han Shou to leave them so she could have a heart to heart with Pei Heng.  It was very emotional. He blamed himself for dithering in marrying her when he had a chance.

Qian Qian said that she had only fallen in love with Han Shou.

Chu Chu came to visit as well and immediately noticed that though Pei Heng was very sad, he was not crying.  She immediately thought that there is more to it.  Qian Qian was not dead.

The Queen came to pay her respect as well.  She is not a queen for nothing.  She immediately cottoned on that her naughty daughter had faked her death fro Han Shou and for Huanyuan.  So the Queen tried to play along.  She turned down all the suggestions of Chu Chu to cremate, put toxic preservative powder on Qian Qian.  The Queen also made sure to allow air to circulate into the coffin when Chu Chu tried to seal it up.

The Queen then ordered to have Qian Qian buried immediately.

Chu Chu send Zifeng to make sure that the fake death comes true.

Qian Qian was saved by Lin Xi, who said came to burn incense for Qian Qian.

Qian Qian was touched.  Qian Qian told Lin Xi to go with them to Xuanyu but Lin Xi said she can’t because she married a rescuer who was a merchant from Xuanyu.

Meng Gu got to Qian Qian and said that he will take Zifeng away and turn him to a most servile servant to Qian Qian.

Pei Heng knew that Chu Chu was really his sister.  She was adopted by the Queen after their mother the Minister of Defence died in battle.

Episode 22

Qian Qian found it at first to adjust to a patriarchal society at Xuanyu.  The male-dominated city look down at her  and she became unhappy and wanted to return to Huanyuan.

But Han Shou was a new man.  He treated her respectfully and lovingly which annoyed his father,t he king but gladdened his mother’s heart.

During an audience with the king, queen, and ministers, they looked down and blame Qian Qian on the changes in their wives’ attitudes and services.

The king asked Qian Qian how to change the attitude of the male of Xianyu and the strong females of Huanyuan,

Qian Qian said to allow intermarriage which will allow the mingling of alpha males and alpha females.  They would then create a marriage based on equality of the sexes.

Anyway, Chu Chu was throwing tantrums and Qian Qian remains her target.  Pei Heng told her to stop already.  Qian Qian is gone, she should let it go but this advice only made Chu Chu more determined to hunt and kill Qian Qian.

Her mission got to the Queen, who finally revealed to Chu Chu that she was not her real daughter but that of the late Minister Pei.

Episode 23

Lin Xi, who had become Qian Qian’s best friend, laughingly told her that she admired her so much.  She was able to change ordinary downtrodden wives into more confident ones.  She also managed to get her in-laws to divorce.

Qian Qian created rather quite a havoc at Xianyu which led to the Queen, her mother-in-law divorcing her misogynist husband, the King.

The Queen then ordered that she will now be the new Minister of Defence and would lead Qian Qian’s return to Huanyuan.

Meanwhile, Chu Chu was getting out of order.  She had put the Queen under house arrest and she had been issuing new laws and bylaws to constraint men’s movement.

People are becoming dissatisfied with her tyrannical ways.

Her erratic behavior got to Zi Feng who said that his complete loyalty is now with Qian Qian.

He told her that to get to Huanyuan without bloodshed to the normal citizen, he will pretend that he had captured her.

So this was what they did, the Queen of Xianyu led the troops to Huanyuan.  Her husband the king followed her.  I must say their interaction is actually worthy of their own drama.  They were so cute.  The bumbling king is a hilarious foil to his long-suffering dissatisfied wife.

Anyway, Qian Qian was now in front of Chu Chu who ordered that she should be killed.

True to his words, Zi Feng protected Qian Qian but holding a dagger against Chu Chu’s neck.

Chu Chu’s order was not obeyed by minions because Qian Qian after all is a real daughter of their queen.

Episode 24

What a cute ending. But it almost ended rather tragically.

Chu Chu got away from Zifeng and went straight for Qian Qian with her sword.

Han Zhou noticed and ran and covered Qian Qian with his body and got stabbed instead.

He was stabbed in a fatal point, his lungs and had not long to live which made Qian Qian and his parents heartbroken, well even Chu Chu was desperately unhappy.

Chu Chu was arrested and jailed.

Pei Heng asked Qian Qian how she was going to punish Chu Chu.

Qian Qian visited Chu Chu in jail.

Chu Chu continued to play the victim, that she was driven to what she did because their Mommy did not love her enough and Qian Qian stole everything that was rightfully hers.

Qian Qian admitted that she had a hand in some of the difficult circumstances that Chu Chu had to go through.  But she also said that Chu Chu was given a lot of chances to shine but she always went through them in an unexpected way.  She just was not the heroine material.

Qian Qian said that she will convince their mother to allow Chu Chu to walk the flower bed during the successor contest.

Chu Chu asked if she will be allowed to become the city owner if she wins?

The Queen, who came to see Chu Chu interrupted saying that she will allow her three daughters to participate.

During the day of the ceremony, Han Shou encouraged Qian Qian to go and claim the successor role.  He really wanted her to be the City Owner.

First, to walk the flower bed red carpet was Chu Chu, the clear sky suddenly turned black with a strong gust of wind and sudden rain shower.

Then it was Yuan Yuan, ably escorted by Su Mu.  The sky stayed clear and she was just so happy that she was able to navigate the flower bed carpet.

Then it was Qian Qian’s turn.  Everyone was waiting for her to do her turn but she refused saying that she does not believe about all the hokus pokus of the sky opening up to welcome a new leader. A leader is someone who thinks of the people.

The Queen silently agreed but a weakened and dying Han Shou suddenly showed up at the top end of the flower bed carpet.

He beckoned Qian Qian to come to him. She was reluctant at first but poor Han Shou collapsed and Qian Qian ran towards him.

She told him off for getting out of bed.

But he smiled in wonder as he looked to the sky. The people also looked in awe.

The sky was glorious and welcoming.  The people rejoiced of a foretold good fortune from a new leader.

In the midst of the rejoicing, Qian Qian was inconsolable because she knew she was about to leave for her own world.

Han Shou told her that it was for the best because they don’t have to deal with his death and sadness.

She started to vanish and then woke up in her bed.

She was very upset as she was not sure if all the thoughts and experiences swirling in her mind were just a dream.

She misses Han Shou so much, she was grieving.  She then checked her messages from the drama director/producer.

Qian Qian found out that she need not hurry with her revised script because Han Shou was in a car accident and hurt his lungs and would likely to recuperate for three months.

Qian Qian asked which hospital Han Shou was at.

She hurried to the hospital as she has an urgent feeling that she had to see him.

There he was, rather anxious when he saw her.

The coincidence of his accident and having hurt his lungs gave her some sort of courage to ask him if he was in the dream.  She asked him about the fireworks during the festival, she also mentioned that she had stolen the dragon bone to cure his heart problem.

Han Shou told her that he had a car crash where he punctured his lungs, he does not have heart disease and if she had stolen something then she must return it or surrender herself to the police.

Qian Qian did not give up easily, she then mentioned Han Shuo.

He then said Chu Chu and Qian Qian and Miss Orange but also told her off for discussing the script when he was obviously ill in the hospital.

Qiao Qian apologized and started to leave but she realised that he called her Orange when he should have not known about it as it was not in the script she had given Actor Han.  The orange, banana and apple were discussed with the storytellers later when she became part of the script.

Qiao Qian went back in. He told her to stay back as he was very confused with so much information swirling in his brain which he was not sure whether it was for real or part of a dream.

Qiao Qian then knew that her Han Shou had fused with Actor Han as one.

She hugged him and he gladly hugged her back.

They were deliriously happy to be reunited.  And this was how the producer and a gaggle of reporters found them.

Han Shou covered them both with a blanket and when their unwanted visitors were gone they looked at each other in wonder.

Qiao Qian finished her script.  Chu Chu became the City Owner with the help of Qian Qian.

Qian Qian and Han Shou had ironed out any misunderstanding and lived as a very happy couple.

The End

The success of this drama is not only because of the sizzling chemistry of the gorgeous leads but the other actors are to be commended as well.

The bromance/double act between Zi Rui and Bai Ji is hilarious.

The love story between the hypochondriac Yuan Yan and Su Mu was very touching.

Chu Chu was not made to be completely evil.  Her expression often showed being confused and hard-done-by.  She was puzzled why she wasn’t getting the same love and tolerance from the Queen as Qian Qian.  I still remember Zhou Zi Xin as Dr Su in A Love So Beautiful.  I wanted her to end up with Bai Song.

And the Queen of Huanyuan was really queen-like.  Her poise is so regal.

The later appearance of Han Shou’s parents as a discontented couple is truly inspired.

And the love triangle of Han Shou and Qian Qian with Hei Peng was cute.  He was always true to Qian Qian.  I think that is a secret of a good love triangle.  The third wheel doesn’t get a love interest in the story but remains true and supportive of the heroine.

I think this is what is missing in Fake Princess, the few episodes that I have seen, there is no love triangle.  The second male lead is pursuing someone else so you are watching two romances in one drama and that is too much to concentrate on. LOL

The story itself does not take itself seriously.  The sprinkling of modern ideas and actions allows the viewers to be a part of it.

I fervently wish that there is a second series to this drama. And I hope it would be set in modern times.
