Zu’er started at the Beijing Film Academy in 2018 after placing third at the entrance examination. What a very clever girl.
Zu’er was a child actress.
When asked how she got her anglicised name, Zu’er said that her friend gave her the Rena part but Zu’er thought it was too short so she researched and came up with the Spanish ‘la reina’ which means ‘queen’.
Zu’er is currently filming Cooking, Tasting, Loving opposite Ethan Ruan.

31 August 2023: Oh no! Zu’er is involved in some tax evasion issues. Apparently, she was reported for tax evasion in the sum of 45M RMB. The customer service of the State Taxation Administration is investigating and the result will be published on their website. Hope Zu’er is cleared.
1 September 2023: It looks like Song Zu’er is on the road to being cancelled! Her name had been deleted from official Weibo accounts of Beijing Satellite TV, Hunan Satellite TV, Zhejiang Satellite TV, Jiangsu Satellite TV, and Anhui Satellite TV. So sad especially when Zu’er probably did not personally know about the alleged tax evasion from her company. The poor girl had been working since she was a child. Being an actress is her way of life.
27 August 2024: Lareina’s tax evasion charge had been withdrawn.
2025: Zu’er is back with two back to back hits: The Demon Hunter’s Romance and The Prisoner of Beauty. Such a relief!
