The drama is about twin girls separated by fate. One of the girls was adopted while the other one was raised in an orphanage.

Episode 1
Xia Er was running away from a gang, whom she owned money from. The gang threatened her and her friends that if she does not pay them the ¥5000 debt, something nasty would happen to them.
Yin Yin left for the city to find work and bumped into a woman who recognised her as the missing girl with reward money for information.
The police were called with her ‘mother’, who seemed loving and caring and rich.
Yin Yin pretended that she was the missing daughter and that she had lost her memory.
The real daughter, Chin Chin, was mugged, hit on the head and left on the ground bleeding. Luckily the very gang that Xia’Er found her and took her to the hospital.
Chin Chin woke up with a real amnesia.
Episode 2
Chin Chin was a very serious girl, she never smiles and she always wanted or rather needed to be number one in her class to please her mother. Probably this was the reason for her lack of smile.
Chin Chin woke up as Xia Er. She was totally confused and everything and everyone are so alien to her including her friends and dorm roommates. She also found out that she has an elderly father who adopted her but now in a nursing home due to dementia.
Xia Er could not believe her luck. She absolutely loves having a.’mom’ and living in luxury.
She also discovered that she might have a boyfriend or rather Chin Chin has. He is Xu Kung Lin.
He was worried and annoyed with her at the same time.
Xiao Qing is rather anal about justice that she would stand her ground for it no matter what. She comes from a rich family and quite proud of their forthrightness, honesty and respectability.
Xiao Qing then fell in love with an equally rich Shu Che.
The problems occured when Shu Che and family were involved in corruption.
Will Xiao Qing stand by her man or seek justice for all?

The Way We Were (Chinese Drama) Review
Episode 1
Ning Ming was studying IT in college when he saw and fell in love at first with Liao Ying.
Liao Ying was the the most beautiful girl in their university and she was constantly confessed to by boys from all backgrounds. Sometimes, the security guards were needed to intervene and often restrain the most persistent admirers.
Ning Ming, on the other hand, knew his place. He thought that she was too good for him. And that they move into non-parallel paths.
One day he saw Liao Ying doing indoor climbing. He learned climbing too and when he got more experienced, he ventured outside to climb a snow festooned mountain. He was doing well but one of the climbers lost her footing and about to fall when he grabbed her, only to literally start falling with her.
They had to cooperate with each other to survive and he whispered to her that he was quite happy even to die for her. Of course the girl was Liang Yin.
Despite this, they did not get together. But Ning MIng cannot really keep his admiration and love for her so he sabotaged a new year’s countdown display to declare his love for her, ending it with he is happy even to die for her.
Liao Ying knew it was him. Still they did not get together. Anyway it turned out that she has a boyfriend already.
After three years, on their graduation day, he highjacked the powerpoint display and declared his love once again to to Liao Ying, still anonymously but with his catchphrase of being happy even to die for her.
He was at his dorm, packing the rest of his stuff when Liao Ying suddenly appeared. They got talking and she told him that she will be leaving for San Fransisco to study MA in Business Management in Stondord (Stanford) University. She gave him the time of her flight and everything and then they parted ways but not before she gave him a loving hug.
On the plane, there was another girl, Xiao Qing, who heard Liao Ying moaning in pain. She comforted her and they got to know one another. Xiao Qing has some medical background that she diagnosed that Liao Ying is suffering from acute appendicitis.
Liao Ying, who was to be directly transferred to a hospital via ambulance when they get to San Francisco, begged Xiao Qing to pick her luggage for her. Liao Ying’s boyfriend will be waiting for her outside. The boyfriend then would take Xiao Qing where she wanted to be.
Outside, the most handsome man was waiting. Shu Che (Luo Jin) … gorgeous….
Episode 2
Xiao Qing first day in San Francisco was not a auspicious day.
Firstly while being driven by Shu Che at above the legal limit, they got stopped. Shu Che begged Xiao Qing to take the blame for driving as his licence was already been suspended. To add to their problem, the police officer understand Chinese. They were taken to the station and Shu Che was charged after Xiao Qing gave her honest account.
Secondly, the house-share was not something she was used to. Though they have a common ethnicity, they have different culture and influences from the west.
She was mortified, when Monica, her landlord was cavorting in the living room and on the stairs with her boyfriend of the moment.
Good script and acting. I do feel for Xiao Qing. Homesick and alone in a foreign country.
Episodo 3
Liao Ling has recovered from her appendicitis op. Xiao Qing was being courted to change her statement that Shu Che asked her to pretend to be the driver.
Episode 4
Despite bribery from Shu Che lawyers and Liao Ling’s father, Xiao Qing was unmoved.
It took Liao Ling to speak with Xiao Qing for her to finally agree.
Shu Che was surprised that Xiao Qing agreed to perjure herself. He called her to have a talk, only to find that Xiao Qing is talking to his lawyer and seemed to be receiving a bribe in the form of a car.
Shu Che was so disappointed that he left without speaking to Xiao Qing.
Xiao Qing was not happy receiving a car, so she did everything she could to track down the lawyer Wang to return the car. But he won’t accept it back. Xiao Qing left the car keys and car with Liao Ling’s brother.
It looks like Shu Che was an habitual traffic violator and even caused a death when he was much younger in 2007 back in China. The victim was a girl who lost both of her legs. Shu Che family driver, who was teaching him to drive had to pretend that he was driving the car that hit the girl.
Episode 5
The Trial!
During the trial, before Xiao Qing can perjure herself, Shu Che interrupted to plead guilty of all charges against him. He then gave a very sad story about being so worried about his girlfriend who had just been taken to the hospital, ergo reason for speeding.
The judge was so moved by his honesty that he got away rather lightly with a fine of $1000 and 100 hours community service.
Towards the end of the episode he asked Liao Ling to marry him but her father was not very enthusiastic.
Episode 6
Shu Che’s parents were against the marriage as well.
Shue Che mistakenly believed that Xiao Qing accepted a bride in return for retracting her statement.
Despite Xiao Qing telling him that she did it because Lian Ling and Shu Che are her friends. He wouldn’t have it though.
Episode 7- 8
These two episodes are super annoying. It is about grown children being disobidient to their parents.
Xiao Qing’ mother met a pretty serious accident. Xiao Qing wanted to go home immediately but her father wouldn’t want her to as her mother is now out of danger. But Xiao Qing was having none of it. With her frustration of being not really allowed to go home, she blocked her father on the phone and won’t take any of his calls.
Her school professor was contacted by her father and explain how things were. The prof confronted Xiao Qing about telling him that her parents agreed to her taking leave from school.
In the end she had to stay in the US to continue with masters.
Shu Che mother and Miao Ling’s father pretend that they don’t know one another but Miao saw them being rather familiar with each other. What is going on.

The drama is a love story that lasts several lifetimes. He Lan comes from the fox clan, which originated from a planet from another galaxy which was much like Earth. Through evolution the aliens, fox clan, started to acquire human form, until they are perfect specimen of eye candy. 🙂
Episode 1
During the Tang Dynasty (not sure which dynasty really) a girl who was still a minor was ‘bought’ from her parents to marry a blind boy from a rich family.
I think much of the story started from this initial meeting of the lovers.
I read somewhere that the girl had to sacrifice herself in order for the boy to have perfect sight at night.
At the present day, PiPi has a boyfriend who is gorgeous and extremely able with his education. While PiPi is interning, her boyfriend in going to America for further studies.
PiPi is currently having some self-esteem issues. She feels that she is not good enough for her perfect boyfriend.
HeLan on the other hand had just found her in this lifetime and he would never let her go.
Their first meeting was eventful but not in the usual way where they fall in love at first sight. In fact PiPi handed some change to the blind Helan thinking he was a beggar. 🙂
Episode 2
It was Jialin’s birthday and PiPi was trying to buy him a shirt. She did not really know his size but then realised that she can’t afford the shirt anyway.
PI PI was helped out in getting the right size by a man who turned out to be He Lan.
When she told him that she was buying it for her boyfriend, He Lan bought all the shirts. PiPI run after him and accidentally dislodged his sun glasses. She stared at his opaque irises, which was dangerous for her.
He Lan sent his minions to give an apple, which is lightly drenched with his blood, to PiPI, who he said would be feeling unwell due to having looked at his eyes.
Right on cue, PiPi was vomiting in the office. Despite feeling unwell she continued on with her task as an intern journalist. She turned down the apple as she hates the fruit.
PiPi went to her boyfriend’s house for his birthday celebration with only a red bean preserve as a present, which he was rather dismissive about.
Also attending was their good friend, Tian Xin.
You can see that Tian Xin and Jia Lin are becoming more than friends.
Episode 3
Pi Pi was tasked to take photos of the mysterious Jade expert, He Lan. She was waiting for him surreptitiously, when he found her hanging on his fence.
She started having a nose bleed and he carried her in and fed her a small slice of an apple. Within minutes she was like a new woman.
Episode 4
He Lan gave PiPi a VIP invitation for the following night’s auction. He said if she attends, she can interview him.
No brainer really, so she attended and ended up bidding so much money for an orb necklace, on behalf of He Lan, which was then given to her by him as a memento, which has something to do with what happened a long time ago.
Episode 5
PiPi’s boyfriend is stalking her friend, Tian Xin. He wanted to cheat on PiPi with her friend. To start with Tian Xin did try to resist Jia Lin. But Jia Lin is not taking no for an answer.
He told Tian Xin that he will book a table in a restaurant and will wait for her at whatever time.
PiPi met up with He Lan in a posh restaurant to interview him. He ordered a lot of food for PiPi alone as he said he was a fox and doesn’t eat human food.
PiPi was going along with his ‘nonsense’ at first but got tired of it. He Lan further said that he only eat flowers, from the unfertilised plants (organic flowers) He also mentioned that others from his fox clan eat liver, human liver.
PiPi said she was ending the nonsense, weird interview. She got up and He Lan followed her. He said that he can prove that he’s not human. He put her head next to his heart. His heart is beating so slowly at 1 beat per 10 seconds.
Unbeknown to PiPi, Tian Xin was also at the restaurant and saw her with He Lan in which looked like and embrace.
Episode 6
Jia Lin was still waiting at the restaurant for Tian Xin. He was told by the waiting staff that he had to leave at it was closing time. He then saw Tian Xin in front of him and this will be the start of their affair.
The next day, Jia Lin went to look for Pipi at her work.
Thinking that he was He Lan, she run off from him.
They all ended up at a club. Jia Lin was just about to speak with PiPi when Tian Xin took him away, presumably to tell him that it was not the right time to tell Pipi about them.
Episode 7
We find out the the 900 years old He Lan is in fact a hybrid. His mother was human and father was an alien fox.
His weirdness has spooked Pipi. So she researched what repel a fox.
She found out it was realgar. She got some and invited He Lan to lunch.
Of course He Lan new all bout the realgar that PiPi had gotten. And to make a point he dipped his finger into the pocket of realgar, which as a corrosive effect on his skin.
PiPi was shocked saying that she doesn’t really understand what is his motive and she wanted the orb necklace removed from her neck.
Without much ado, He Lan removed the necklace and left her in the restaurant.
Episode 8
PiPi resigned from her job so that she could concentrate in learning English. She wanted to go to America with Jia Lin. Jia Lin, however, has other plan. He wanted Tian Xin to go with him.
He Lan is very upset. He was looking at the orb necklace and then put it away. Does it mean he has given up on PiPI?
Episode 9
PiPi almost became a victim of ‘date rape’.
She was so upset because she finally found out that her best friend and boyfriend are doing the dirty on her. She found them having a cozy lunch together. Jia Lin said to PiPi that it was not Tian Xin the reason why they needed to break up. He just not into PiPI anymore.
Heartbroken, PiPi ended up in a bar drinking herself silly, until an evil opportunities drug a drink which he then gave to her. She willingly drank it. He took advantage of her ‘drunkenness’ and took her away from the bar.
He was just about to assault her when Helan appeared and beat up the man.
Episode 16
This episode is a hectic one.
PiPi got jealous when she found several paintings of Hua Lan done by He Lan. She can’t accept that she’s the re-incarnation of Hua Lan.
Helan back story is very sad and rather gruesome.
900 years ago, Helan was born from a fox and human union, which is strictly prohibited. Thus Helan was born blind.
When he was in his teens, an innocent girl was procured as his young bride. Eventually they really fell in love with each other.
On He Lan’s 17th birthday, which happens to be a full moon and it was the time of Yang, coming of age was celebrated with a drink of soup.
Suddenly he can see.
He was all happy. He then asked where Hua Lan was. He was told to forget about her, that he will never see her again. She was just medicine to him.
It then click on him what they meant about medicine. They took out Hua Lan’s liver to amke the soup for him.
This incident upset HeLan so much, he left and lived on his own.
Episode 17
Princess Xi Yan, it was revealed as the mother of Helan. Helan is indeed half-human with a human father.
Qing Mu, the chief priest, adopted him as his own son for the sake of Xi Yan, who loves. But as a fox tradition, he left the blind baby in the forest to fend for himself. If he survives, he is a worthy cub.
Episode 18
PiPi went into a mystical place, where she saw the young Hua Lan and her Doppelganger. Despite this she remained distant to HeLan, who did everything he could to win her affection.
But her heart finally melted with his persistence.
She told him that she loves him but she finds it unfair that he has many memories of her over the long 900 years, While she can’t remember those things. She is also concerned that He Lan doesn’t love her as her now more than her past selves.
Omg! Luo Jin is hot. He is absolutely gorgeous in tailored suit or just plain shirt, highlighting his pecs and abs.
I thought I just say that. Lol
Love’s Lies (Chinese Drama Review & Summary)
Episodes 1-4
It started with Tan Dou Dou being late at work again.
The receptionist handed her a small package, which upon quick inspection came from an ex-boyfriend.
She opened the package and found a small blue teddy bear. Before she can puzzle it out why she was receiving a teddy from an ex, a posse of plain clothes policemen including Qiao Liang, put her under arrest when they found a small packet of methamphetamine sawn in the teddy’s tummy.
On the way to the station, she was able to get away when the police car crashed into another car.
Dou Dou quickly went to find the ex-boyfriend.
Her ex is Jin Yuan, who is now a prosperous president of an auction house. Jin Yuan was to marry her seven years but he did not show up during the ceremony.
They did not have any contacts as he seemed to have vanished into thin air.
When they finally met, they still have that frisson that lovers do. But Dou Dou was so upset for being implicated with drug dealings, she was not very friendly towards the gorgeous Jin Yuan.
Jin Yuan kidnapped her and kept her in the mountain, guarded by his right hand man and good friend.
But Dou Dou thinking that Jin Yuan is going to be doing more drug dealings, contacted the police using her guard’s notebook while he was sleeping.
Dou Dou was rescued and begged the police to arrest Jin Yuan immediately before the 27th, when a major drug trafficking was to occur. She does not want Jin Yuan to be arrested with more than 50grams of drugs (which would mean death penalty for sure).
I have to admit that I really enjoyed this drama. The four episodes just went by too quickly. They were well executed and the script is thrilling.
Apparently, this story will revolve around Gu Ye Bai, a young talented artist, who had an accident which made him lose his ability to see the world in colour.
This happened during a rather difficult and complicated time when he was about to compete in an International painting contest.
The presence of an innocent and cheerful girl will help him overcome his condition which is inherently psychological.
Looking forward to this drama as it stars An Ye Xi of Tornado Girl 2. Hope all the episodes are now subbed! 🙂 One can only hope!

When Ge Ye Bai was over the moon when he found out that the girls in colour was You Yan and she goes to the same university as him. He can’t believe his luck and started stalking You Yan.
Episode 3
Ge Ye Bai asked You Yan to model for him.
You Yan was reluctant at first but she needed the money. He told her that she would pay her double of what she was earning in her part-time job.
Episode 4
It was getting harder and harder for Ge Ye Bai to conceal his colour blindness especially when his rival in class, Zi Jian, started to take notice more of him.
You Yang met Zi Jian in a gallery.
They were both looking at a painting by Teacher Chi.
It looks like Teacher Chi Cheng is You Yan’s mother, who died young. Her last painting was of You Yang but made her looked to be in her teenage years, it is called the Sunshine Girl.
You Yan was upset with her father for having sold her mother’s painting especially the unfinished one. Her father told her that he sold them for her good. He doesn’t want to paint as she was not healthy enough.
Zi Jian started showing interest with You Yan as well and Ge Ye Bai is so jealous.
Episode 5
Gu Ye Bai found out that You Yan met Zi Jian at the gallery and he was not very happy. He was so annoyed that he can’t paint.
Poor Zi Jian is being to feel useless by his older sister because he did not qualify to represent the school for an international contest.
Episode 6
Gu Ye Bai finally confessed that he has a self-induced colour blindness to You Yan.
Episode 7
You Yan suggested to Gu Ye Bai that perhaps they should return to the island when they first met. It might help him see colours again.
They had a heart to heart where Gu Ye Bai recounted his family or rather lack of. His mother and brother died in an accident when he was young and had been alone ever since.
He then felt better especially when You Yan would hug him. He then noticed that he can see colours again and started and finished his painting for the competition.
You Yan and Gu Ye Bai were on their way to send the painting when they met Zi Jian and his sister, who gave them a lift to the post office. But the wicked sister, purposely mixed up Ye Bai’s painting with Zi Jian.
